8:07AM Kay left for school a little over an hour ago. I just had breakfast. And now I plan on reading most of the afternoon. This evening we get to meet up with my Bother in law. he is in Texas on business. Just wish my sissa and her girls could have come along.

Good morning GR! I'm feeling really good today in spite of the fact that it's my birthday and it's a decade changer. Wondering how it's possible I got so old!! LOL.
Hub is off work today because he had an abscessed tooth and has to get a root canal this afternoon. He was really sick last night. Between the pain and the antibiotic and the pain pills, it all hit him in the gut and he was miserable. Doing better this am. No special plans for today. I have a really good book to dip into and we're ordering out for dinner so I don't have to cook. Just plan to enjoy the day!

Katy, sure hope you start to get feeling better. Seems like it's been a long siege for you.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 9:42 AM. Good morning, GR! It is really overcast here, so Mark is still in bed. I bet he thinks it is still early. Anyways, I didn't start a new book last night. Sometimes taking a little break helps. :) Since Mark is off today, I'm sure we will probably go do some running around. I'm just not sure what any of it entails. I don't know what I'm in the mood to read yet. It will have to be something on the shorter end because I have a buddy read starting on the 1st. It's actually a pretty short book, so maybe I could try to read two books. Hehe....

Terri, glad to see a post from you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I hope you have a great day, despite your husband's root canal. I've heard those are not fun. I hope his procedure goes well and his recovery is quick. ((((((((BIRTHDAY HUGS!!!!))))))))))

Hey Sean, it's fine if you're Anti-American, Anti-America, or whatever. I just want you to know, there are a lot of Americans in this group and many of them might find your words offensive. I know I did a bit. I want you to understand something about the problems we're having in America: We know there are problems, many of them SERIOUS problems, we are facing in America. We don't need outsiders pointing it out to us, and we're trying to get through them. Britain and Europe are having their share of problems in this world, so you're country is not immune. With that being said, this group, and Goodreads, is not a political forum. Many get on here to have a few moments of non-political peace and kind of "just to get away." There are forums or groups here on Goodreads established for politics. Please take your political opinions to another group. In the future, I will just delete your comments. Thanks.

12:41PM Well been cleaning house, texting with Kathryn, doing vlogs, did Kay's laundry and now I am here. LOL Have a date with my brother in law from Indy, so the family is looking forward to that.

Kathryn thanks for your comment and for handling that. I agree this group is not set up nor was intended for political views.

Sean I am sure you can find a group here on GR that you can vent your feelings to, but it is not this group.

Michelle have a safe trip! We miss you too!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 4:23 p.m. EST I'm very, very tired of being in pain, and since they can't seem to figure out what's causing it, I'm not sure what will help it. Basically I need to see a bunch of specialists, and the money for that simply isn't here. Grrr. Anyway, done editing and started on a short novella, but also planning to watch the latest Agents of SHIELD later on. Maybe take a nap, it will depend on whether this muscle relaxer makes me sleepy or just help relax everything that's spasming...

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 4:30 PM. We just got back from doing a few errands. Then, my dad came over for a bit. He got in LATE last night from Utah. He missed his grandkitties and I guess, me, too. haha! I'm going to find a snack, then do another video for my BookTube Channel. Oh, and then, I'm REALLY going to find something to read on my Kindle. I don't use it much, so I thought I'd be kind to it and use it a little. haha!

We lost my middle sister to a car accident many years ago, so I am über sensitive to this stuff. Months of Ins. stuff. The guy got two sitations so hopefully it will go fast. Home now and having some much needed wine!

What a month for car accidents and our members' sons!! I am so glad to hear he is okay! Car accidents are so scary! I'm also glad to hear the guy got two citations. The only reason why I say that is hopefully he will learn from his mistakes and not kill anyone! I guess another thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, huh, Susan? Sending you a BIG (((((((HUG))))))), since I can't send you a glass of wine! haha

8:13pm EST. Thanks for the birthday wishes, folks! I'm having a good day but my poor hub is not. He has such a huge tooth abscess it's going to take 2 trips to the dentist who specializes in this to fix it. He's feverish and has so much pain. He's ending up having to take 2 1/2 days off work. Hope the antibiotic finally kicks in tonight and he gets some much needed relief and sleep. We ended up having chicken noodle soup for dinner since that's about all he could tolerate. We'll celebrate with a special birthday meal at some belated time, which really is no problem. I'd do anything for my best friend and life partner!

It's 12:11 a.m and about to brush my teeth and go to bed. Kiddo is being difficult tonight, put him down at 10, and he's still up chattering to himself. Tried to bribe him with a playground trip, and even that didn't work. So maybe if I go to bed too, he'll finally zonk out.

11:10PM Sorry guys I was gone most of the evening. We spent the evening with my Brother in law. We had a great time even if it was just a few hours. Hub has to get up in 4 hours. I hope he gets enough sleep. Kay's last day tomorrow before she gets a week off for Thanksgiving break. She is happy about that. Amy, my oldest cut Kay's hair tonight, it looks uber cute! Gonna read for a little bit, not sure how long because I am pretty tired tonight.

Terri sorry to hear hub is in so much pain! Hopefully those antibiotics will work soon.

Susan geez, so sorry to hear about your sons accident. So glad he came away from it ok though.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:43 PM. Just ate two fresh mandarin oranges. They were yummy. For dinner we had tacos....well, I made myself a taco salad. Before dinner, I did a YouTube video, got it uploaded, then sat here with Mark for a few minutes. He's got to work half the day tomorrow, so I am going to have to make up for today's missed workout tomorrow. I am still a little unsure of what I want to read...I'm thinking Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen or something else. TOO MANY DECISIONS, but I like the dilemma. Hope everyone is having a great night!

Well, I needed to post my reviews of Home for the Holidays anyway, so now that is done. I'll have to whine at my husband to rub my back some more in a bit here so I can try to sleep again.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:00 PM. Well, it got cold again, and quickly. The meteorologists are saying there is a chance for sleet for us already this weekend. Usually it doesn't happen until closer to Christmas or even after the new year, if it even happens at all. I'm not too sure when Mark will get home, but I am going to get some laundry started, do the dishes, and then read more of Pride and Prejudice. I'm finding it isn't too bad right now. I was worried the "old" language would throw me off, but so far so good. I was surprised it is as short as it is because I thought it was longer. Anyways, hope everyone is having a great day!

message 8236: by [deleted user] (new)

1:53pm EST. A gray and rainy day, perfect to just hang out in the house. Hub is feeling so much better today! It's turned into a bonus day off for us to spend together. Plus, he only has to work Mon. and Tues. next week and then he's off for Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. He's playing his guitar, practicing some tunes he'll play at the "open mike" activity at his Christmas party for work. I love to hear him play and sing. It reminds me of when we were "courting" and he played in a rock band. Some wild and crazy times were had!! We"re still drinking coffee and lazing around. I'm enjoying GR, as usual, and will hit the books when I'm done here. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 4:40 PM. It's supposed to get icy and possibly sleet this weekend, so Mark and I went to the store and bought food for the weekend just in case. The temperature has dropped pretty drastically, and it's pretty chilly. Time for coffee to warm my bones, sit by the fire, and read. My throat has been killing me all day because of my allergies, so I might take it easy even though I want to workout.

Susan - how scary, I'm so glad your son is okay.

1.50 PM Sitting on the back porch in my grandad's chair enjoying the sunshine. It was very sad saying goodbye to him yesterday and the house feels so different without him in it. I went and saw him yesterday and it was a bit scary - you could just tell he wasn't there anymore and he was so, so skinny - it was really sad to see him like that but made me really happy that he's not suffering here anymore. I'm just so glad I got to say goodbye. My uncle has just arrived to take my auntie to the airport (thank goodness, she's been causing so much trouble). Mum and I are going to the bottle-o to get a bottle of wine to enjoy in the sunshine. Hope you are all well, I've been missing you all!

12:15AM Again I was gone all day. I feel like I want a day in. LOL And that won't be tomorrow either, it is Aeverie's birthday party! And I would not miss that. So today we shopped for him, also got the rest of Thanksgiving dinner, I think! Hopefully we did not miss anything. Oh :::yikes::: I know what I missed LOL Cherries. UGH oh well we will get them tomorrow. We did get a 20lb turkey for $12 YAY! So once we got home, I worked out, afterwards we had coffee and then I watched 'Look Whose Talking Now', one of my all time favorite movies. After the movie was over I wrapped Ave's presents. And now here I am. Not sure if I will read much tonight. I did finish Identical this afternoon, what an emotional read that was. I loved it. So now I need to get cracking on Ashes to Ashes.
