Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 7:45 PM. Mark and I just finished doing some spray paint art. They look so neat. I've always wanted to learn how to do some art, and it's nice being married to an artist who can teach me how to do something. We ran some errands earlier, went and had sandwiches at a local place, then went to buy a few things to do our art. We've been painting off and on for a few hours, and in between, I wrote a review for the book I finished, cleaned the cats' litter box, and talked to my grandpa. I'm getting hungry for dinner, but not sure what we are going to have. Oops..lol

9:11PM We actually just got home, but no book shopping for me we did groceries instead. One of these days I will convince the family how much more important the books are. LOL J/K Plan on some coffee and reading now!

Katy we got ours at a place called 5 Below. You can get them at most department stores, but unfortunately they are not usually easy to find all year round.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 10:14 p.m. EDT Right, done reading in the Cloud and now off to read an actual book made of paper... O.O I actually wanted to read Death by Zamboni but I can't find it. The cats knocked down and disarranged my book piles when I was in detox and I still haven't found where all Dmitry put things back to... First, though, I think I'll go grab a yogurt to eat.

message 7806: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller 11:33am ET. Buckling down and reading. This week and even this month, has been slow going for me. I think I finished out 3-4 books total; whereas I usually read 6-7. Ah, well. I now I have 4 books going at once; but hope to be finished with 2 by Sunday evening. The Pilo Family Circus and Blue World. Both are okay, but they don't really pull me in...:/

12:14PM Wow I did not even post here this morning. I guess I have been doing other things and just did not think about it. So anyway, I am completely enthralled with both The Sleeping Doll and The Twelve. But hub got me the OutLast game and I just got that set up on my laptop, but now too scared to play it. LOL So we are thinking maybe the 3 of us, hub, me, and son will play it together tomorrow. heh I am such a wuss. So now going to get back to The Twelve.

Rachel 840pm- went out to lunch with friends-enjoyed the drive-the trees are gorgeous this time of year. also went to the bookstore so had a great day.

hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

have to flip a coin to decide which book to start first- The Husband's Secret or Sharp Objects.

message 7812: by Ella (new)

Ella | 108 comments Rachel I'm reading The Husbands Secret and it's good so far. It's definitely got my curiosity as to the characters in the beginning and how they get connected..don't know what the secret is yet either!

8:51PM I went ahead and threw in a small workout. LOL I did not feel like the walk was enough, I pretty much guilted myself. So I have been enjoying some reading this evening. Wanna hit page 100 in The Twelve by tonight some time.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:10 PM. Got home about 30 minutes ago from my cousin's wedding. It was really pretty,
and I loved seeing some family. We got up and out early because we had to pass through where my grandpa lives to get to the wedding, we had lunch with him first. We had a great time at the wedding, but it was even nicer to see some of my favorite family. Plus, there were free margaritas and beer. Haha! No, we didn't get drunk. Anyways, I ended up driving the entire time, so....no reading for me. My sweet kitties are soooooo happy we are home. In fact, Gizmo baby just sat down on my lap. I stayed up until one last night talking to Janie and reading The Sleeping Doll. This book is so addicting, I was dying to read it on the drive. Oh well....that's what I'm going to do after I catch up on all of my GR notifications.

I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!! :)

Midnight and I just got home from work. Haven't been online as much lately because of the depression and they are working the crap out of me at work. I hope my medicine starts working a little better soon. The doc said it could take three or four weeks to get the full effect. It's been three now. I plan on reading for a bit and going to bed. Don't have to get up early tomorrow, so I'm just gonna chill with my book for a bit. Hope everyone is doing well.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Ella, if I could make a suggestion? Daughters are contrary; if she knows you dislike the boy, she will be even more determined to stay with him, no matter what kind of a dick he is. It's what happened to make me end up with my first ex-husband. If my mom hadn't thrown a conniption and forbade me to visit my best friend because I might see him also, I probably would have moved on over the summer, but as it was I ran away and ended up trapped by him for several years.

12:30 a.m. EDT I tried to pop in this morning but the site went down. I managed to sleep fairly well this morning, and even took a nap this evening, so I'm feeling pretty alert for a change... :-)

10:53PM (already turned the time back) So I Skyped with my sissa for a little bit tonight! That was really nice. Gonna read a little bit now.

Welcome home Kathryn! Glad you had a nice time!

Ella | 108 comments Katy..thank you. Last night went well. It gave us the opportunity to talk and get to know him better. It was also the 2nd anniversary of his mothers passing (cancer..very young at 43). He spoke highly of her and still affects him deeply. Manners and politeness were in check! Glad I fed him well. Big helping plus dessert. Seems he and his siblings (high school age) don't eat well.. Meals consist of whatever is in the freezer and microwaveable. The dad...don't know much about him yet.
8:40am having coffee and thinking about some breakfast...monkey bread!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 9:30 PM. GOOOOOD MORNING, GR!!!!!!! The extra hour of sleep made me feel so much better. The kitty babies are extra happy, too. I was worn out from yesterday. I think we are going to eat breakfast at IHOP. We don't have anything really planned today, so I'm hoping I can get lots of reading done. My Cowboys play today, and Mark should be occupied with football most of the day. I'm itching to read lots today because I didn't get to yesterday. Hope you all have a happy Sunday!

I know Ave's is not gonna let me read much in the next few days. I wanted to get to 100 last night in The Twelve but I was skyping with my sissa and then FB video chat with Amy. LOL

11:03AM Been discussing books with Hub. he just finished Harlen Coben's Mickey Bolitar YA series. He loved it! I knew he would. Now we both have to wait for Book 3 but how long? UGH! So now we are talking about starting the Myron Bolitar series. I love that he loves books! Makes me so happy!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:20 AM. We got home from breakfast a few minutes ago. I plan on reading as much as I can today. I'm feeling a little sleepy...like I need a nap. Maybe I didn't drink enough coffee. Haha!

Katy, Mark gets the newspaper and it is relaxing for us. We didn't get to read today, though. The one we go to is soooooo busy, so we just try to eat and leave. In the evening it is less noisy, so it's easier to read and relax.

Michelle (shelld79) | 12 comments Well it is a little past 6am here as I lay wide awake in a hotel in Launceston Tasmania while I swear something that is a relative of Bigfoot is moving about in the room above us. They woke us up around 5am yesterday morning and then decided to rearrange the furniture or something around 1am last night and now I am beyond annoyed. For once our 2 year old is actually sleeping in while we are on our first real family holiday and Bigfoot had to ruin the peace. Not happy!!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 7:07 PM. Making some sour cream potato soup for dinner. It's a family recipe from Mark's family. I have been in this weird tired, but not tired enough to take a nap. It has not allowed me to read. I have watched football, though. After some soup, I'm going to try to read some of The Sleeping Doll.
