Wow thanks Ella! I will be looking for the book now. I am sure it is even more intense than the movie! I was on edge the whole time I watched the movie.

Kathryn it is so worth seeing. I have always been very interested in the paranormal. And they did a fantastic job with this movie.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 8:25 PM. I had a great workout! I'll be happy to share some of it with Alondra! Haha! Going to make some yummy tortellini in a lemon wine sauce.

Janie, I will try to remember to rent it tomorrow. I looked up the book Ella named and it is in two volumes. Weird.

message 7753: by Victor (new)

Victor Ever since I saw the preview for Conjuring I have wanted to see it. I love scary movies like that!

message 7754: by Ella (new)

Ella | 108 comments There was so much more in the book. I saw the movie too and it was geared toward the Warrens experience. So so much more in the book. The current owners were on the local news after the movie release and hear some things in the house nothing compared to what the Perrons went through. The infamous door to the basement..click!

message 7755: by Ella (new)

Ella | 108 comments I read book 1. Book 2 I believe is when the Warrens were called into play. The reviews weren't that good for book 2 but ill get to it someday. Boy that Bathsheba. Her tombstone was also vandalized and broken. Terrible after 200 years..

message 7756: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC 8:53 PM. Welp, I was just about to try and finish up a couple of books I'm almost done with before I started any more--there's several out right now I want to read. Dan Simmons has a new one as does John Grisham. That one Terri just read is calling to me too-- but this book HOUSE OF DARKNESS HOUSE OF LIGHT sounds like it may be just the scary book I've been looking for.

message 7757: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments Janie I'm hoping to watch it this weekend! I've been wanting to see it since it came out at the movies :)

12.30PM Went to a friends for dinner last night and didn't get home until after midnight so I wasn't able to get any reading done. That's okay though, I had a really nice time catching up with her and in about an hour I'm going to get my wisdom teeth taken out so I should have plenty of time tonight and tomorrow to lay around reading :)

message 7758: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Michelle, sending you hugs and good wishes for your wisdom teeth surgery!!! (((((Hugs))))) will be thinking about you!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 11:35 p.m. Two of the books I edited, one late last year and one early this, are finally out from Steve Grant. My husband had to take his boss to the ER today as he was severely dehydrated due to being sick due to detoxing (he'd been abusing oxys for around a year and a half). Excitement...

message 7763: by Rachel (new)

Rachel 1146pm- just checking into gr before I read more of The Innocent -really great book.

good luck michelle- wishing you a speedy recovery :)

message 7764: by Chris (new)

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Good luck Michelle. I will keep you in my thoughts and when you are well enough let us know how things went. You will be fine and do great. Hope you recover soon.

10:43PM and we had a lot of fun tonight. When I got home we all sat out on our balcony in the cool rainy weather waiting for dinner to cook. Just frozen Pizza and Fries. I was feeling lazy tonight. We carved the pumpkin my son designed. I wanted scary and he wanted cute so of course little man won out. I'll try to upload a picture or two soon.

Relaxing with my wife catching up on recorded TV.

message 7765: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments Thanks for all the kind thoughts, you guys are the best :)

3.20pm home in my favorite recliner with my fluffy blanket and my book :) My teeth came out fairly easily thank goodness. I can't believe how massive they are!! My face looks like a balloon but the anesthetic hasn't warn off and I'm feeling ok. Think I'll sit back and enjoy my book and the pain relief... oh and my husband whose taken the arvo off to look after me hehe pay back for the last week of me looking after him while he was sick. He'sbeen very sweet and got me all my favourite things to eat that don't involve much chewing - two types of custard, two types of icecream, and my favourite soup from the local Thai shop :)

message 7766: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Michelle, keep on top of your pain meds. I slept through my first round and woke up in sooooo much pain. My teeth (all four) were impacted, so maybe that had something to do with it. I looked like Finding Nemo for several days, so don't feel too bad. :) (((((hugs)))))

message 7767: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:41 AM. Just brushed and flossed my teeth. Lots of teeth talk today! Laying in bed now with a book. I haven't read anything all day, so I hope this book grabs my attention. One of my sisters in law who lives in Oregon, and is my favorite of the two on Mark's side, called me and we talked for an hour and a half or so. We haven't talked in a few months, so lots to catch up on. We both wish we lived next door to each other. Lol. We know we'd be best friends. Anyways, Mark has tomorrow and Friday off, YAY!!!!!!!, so we have a few things planned for tomorrow, but nothing extravagant. Hopefully that means I will be able to read and finish this book. Lol.

6:46AM Well little man woke up pretty much when I did, so no going back to bed. I did not get back here last night, Ave's kept me busy with other stuff. I am surprised he is awake already. So trick or treating is tonight, Ave's is excited about that. Will have pictures to share on FB. I know I won't get much reading done today either. Oh well.

Michelle, so glad things went well for you with your wisdom teeth coming out. Hope you feel better quickly!

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 12:18 p.m. EDT Ended up watching The Cabin in the Woods this morning before I went to sleep, so had a good start to Halloween with a truly EPIC horror flick. Managed about 6 hours sleep. Hubby has to climb out of bed soon because he needs to go to Goodwill and put together a costume; he plans to dress in drag today. I think the beard and chest hair will add a bit of interest. Hope everyone is doing well!

All the boys were involved with picking, carrying, carving and enjoying trick-or-treaters, pumpkin seeds, Etc...and what a great night! So great when we all connect. Not often with their busy schedules. My oldest dressed as "What does the fox say"??...Very creative, a hit at work, now out having a ball. Hope you all had a fantastic time as well. ...Sycamore Row is very good so far.

5:07am EDT. Up early with hub, enjoying my coffee. Rained all night--really good sleeping weather. My son is coming home from the hospital today. I'm encouraged about how things are going with him. Yay--it's finally November!! I love this month and I love the fall. Already looking forward to Thanksgiving and my birthday.

Sorry the Cards lost, Chris. I was rooting for them.

Michelle, hope your recovery goes well.

Happy Friday all my GR friends!

7:17AM Kay just left for school 15 min ago. Hub at work, Derek in bed. So very quiet this Am. Will be doing a review vlog this morning and then jump into the new buddy reads I have planned. So looking forward to all of those.

We had a blast last night, Ave's looked pretty good. He was a glow stick robot! Just wanted to be creative this year did not want him being a pirate again. And it only cost us $5. I got the idea a couple years ago from a family that had tried this. I will share a picture with y'all. Hope everyone had a good Halloween!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:35 AM. Listening to some Moody Blues (my all-time favorite band) while I catch up on GR! The boy and I have a few things to do today, but after our errands are done, hopefully we will be home so I can get into The Sleeping Doll. I'm really excited about read it, especially with Janie because when we met, she had me buy the book. So, it's been on my shelf for a few months. I finished 30 Days of Night. It was okay. It was pretty much like the movie, which I love, so nothing surprised me. I think the movie is better. I need to write a quick review of it. I plan to workout at some point today, since I didn't get to yesterday.

Janie, Aeverie looked so cute!!!! Great, original idea!

Terri, good luck with your son today. I will keep him (and you) in my prayers. Hugs!

I am going to suck it up and work Part time at my current job till January. I need to keep benefits till they kick in at the new job in January and I would love the extra money for Christmas.

Had a great Halloween last night even though it rained all night. Conner was great as Iron Patriot and had a blast. We walked around with our 5 month old daughter. My wife made a little red riding hood outfit for her.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Janie, that is so cool! I've been wanting some glow sticks, but I have no idea where to look for them. Where do you find them?

7:16 p.m. EDT Slept fairly well today, although I wanted to sleep more. Hubby had to go and meet with his boss about a new register system for the store, so he had to be up fairly early today. I just downloaded an Amazon freebie to read in my cloud reader that is connected to the series I just read, so once I finish with e-mail I'll be reading on the computer for awhile.
