Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Hope you managed to sleep some, Kathryn. I can really relate to that "no sleep" thing lately...

9:45 a.m. EDT Finished my book and then decided to try to sleep rather than come back on-line. I did manage a few hours, which was nice. About to start the last blog tour book, and then my reviews will be posted right away again.

9:48AM Laid back down once Kay left for school. Which was really nice. made some toast and peanut butter for Ave's and I. he is watching a movie, Son of the mask. Cute movie. Gonna see if Aves will be as lenient as he was yesterday with m reading. LOL I really wanna get HOL finished.

Thanks Michelle. You oughta try it. You can download all kinds of patterns to use on your pumpkin. It can be a lot of Fun. We always enjoy it especially now with Aeverie.

Susan no we did not toast the seeds, saving them for our pumpkin patch next year. We got plenty of seeds this time for planting. And hopefully will have better luck this time.

It seems a lot of work...lol It did not work well for us this year, only one good pumpkin. Although now we have 2 more growing, a little late though. LOL But it was our first time, so maybe we can get a bit more educated and try again.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 11:16 AM. Good morning, GR! Finally managed sleep at about 4:30. I got my heating pad and put it on my legs. It really helped. My dad said I probably need some potassium, so I will get some bananas while I'm out today. I've got a few errands I need to run. I'm not really looking forward to them only because it involves shipping something at the post office. Ugh..Drinking some coffee, will eat some cereal for breakfast, then get ready to go so I can get my errands done. Too bad the bookstore isn't involved. Haha! Last night I decided since Halloween is almost here, I would read 30 Days of Night because it is about killer vampires. I actually love the movie and saw the book at the thrift store a long while back. Perfect timing, I guess, for Halloween! :) Hope everyone has a great day!

Omg. I was going to say potassium too. Sometimes a little salt right under my tongue or tomato juice works for me as a quick fix. You poor thing, hope your errands go fast.

Well for Texas it is July, in the meantime your seeds dry and keep them in a cool place. We are going to make a bigger patch this time and have some extra dirt. Hopefully they will do much better.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 4:59 PM. I got all of my errands done, the dishes put up, loaded the dishwasher, and another load is in the middle of washing, cleaned up the kitchen, and my dad came over to tell me bye. He is going out of town for a few weeks on an oil rig. :( I laid down and tried to rest, but I'm trying to stay awake so I can sleep tonight. While I was out I picked up some bananas, and have already eaten one, so hopefully that will help my legs. I will eat another one later. I'm drinking some coffee so I can stay awake, and skipping my workout for today. I'm going to read and enjoy the overcast skies.

10:41PM I feel like I have been away all day, oh wait! I think I have been! So lets start at about Dinner time. Ok so we had Teriyaki chicken, stuffing, and broccoli for dinner, it was YUM. Then I took Aeverie to the playground. We played hard. Then we got back here and he fell asleep around 8:30 but woke up when I made him pee before bed, and guess what? He is still awake. How can a kid be totally out and then be rearing and ready to go after 15 min sleep? :::sigh::: So anyway we have played games, watched videos, and he is still going. So needless to say once I finished HOL I have read no more. Guess Ave's was not in a generous mood this evening.

LOL Susan, nope, no scarecrow but that is a great idea eh? Hehe!

message 7726: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Janie, kids rejuvenate fast. My mom liked to tell a story about me when I was young. We were heading to Missouri to visit relatives, and I fell asleep right away. Before we reached the main road away from the ranch (our little road is 4 miles), I woke back up with an "are we there yet"... Heee.

10:49AM I have been updating my blog sitehttp://bookwormsbuddy.weebly.com, I had to add a couple of reviews. So that is done. Ave's is watching Son of the Mask. Another new favorite of his. It really is a cute show. I need to read some more of Ashes to Ashes. It is by Tami Hoag and I have been getting some of her books and really need to read one to see if I even like her work. LOL

message 7732: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Janie, I read a Tami Hoag several years back and rather liked it, although I can't remember which one now.

12:04 p.m. EDT Managed almost 5 hours sleep this morning, it's a miracle... I guess it must've been the movie watching... Time to break out Sarah Pinborough's latest, though. wOOt! Love her stuff.

Mark requested tomorrow and Friday off, so I'm hoping he got them. :)

1:23pm EDT. Gray and overcast. Rained steadily through the night and I actually didn't get up till 10am--can't believe Charlie let me sleep so long! Nothing much to do today except read. Just finished The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and it was fantastic--one of my best books for 2013. Hub making a library run for me after work so I should have some good new stuff to read. My son is coming home from the hospital either tomorrow or Friday. I think the stay has helped him. Unfortunately, they put him on some new meds, one of which will cost over $300/month. The cost of pharmaceuticals is astounding! Looking forward to the World Series tonight.

7:41PM OMG! I just watched the Conjuring and that sh*t was WOAH! Do y'all know if that is a book by a different name? It is based on a true story. I have heard a lot about the movie and decided I wanted to watch it. YIKES! If you have not seen it, watch it!

So we did left overs for dinner. I have not read at all today, taking a break after the reading marathon I was on. But I am happy I got a lot of reading done. Had coffee and now I am here checking up on GR.

Katy, yea so far this one is pretty good. I have not gotten to read much yet though. Terri glad you got some good books from the library, Kathryn I am about tired of all the rain now. It always seems to happen in the fall. LOL Chris enjoy carving your pumpkin! Hope it turns out like you want it.

Ella | 108 comments Janie..the book is House of Darkness House of Light by Andrea Perron. That house is about 20 minutes away from me. My friend and I drove by the actual house couple months ago. The house in the movie is nothing like it. But sad...many no trespassing signs. Apparently since the movie there's been some people getting too curious.
