What time is it and what are you doing?
Trying to write a review of David Copperfield, one of my top ten books of all time. It's hard to write a review of something that is sooooo awesome!
11:10AM I actually slept very well over night after I had a long night of reading and finishing Still Life With Crows. I have been up for awhile writing, or trying to write my review of the book. I finally finished it. I have not even eaten breakfast yet, which I totally should have. :/ Well I will eat lunch in about and hour so that will be ok. Today I am gonna get back into House of Leaves and get closer to finishing it. Gonna sit back and laze around today I think with a book. LOL
Susan, like Kathryn, I have never heard of scrapple before, I don't think I have even seen it before. Is it better for you than bacon or sausage?

1:16 p.m. EDT Managed a bit of sleep. Hubby came to bed very late; it's his day off and I imagine he'll sleep it away. I'm reading more books for upcoming blog tours, so my reviews on here will be low for another few days until I go back to books I can post reviews for right away.

2:00 PM. Just finished getting some beef stew going on the stove, doing dishes, and picking up the house a bit. Checking out the score for my Cowboys, and I'm going to head to the bookstore in a bit. I have some books to sell and of course, some to buy if they have them. :)
Kathryn, beef stew sounds delicious. I haven't made that in years. I am going to have to make some soon. Hope it turns out as good as it sounds and good luck with your book hunting. 2:26PM Working today and really looking forward to going home. I have tomorrow off so I am anxious to get out of here. Been watching some Horror movies on my phone today and writing some posts for my blog for this week. Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend.
3:49PM Well we thought that the Cowboys had the win :::sigh::: Not this time boys. Oh well. Got some spaghetti going for dinner, but I would really enjoy some of Kathryn's beef Stew. LOL I have not read anything yet today, but plan to after dinner probably. Would like to wrap up HOL.
Hmmm Susan, yeah pork is not great for you, love the taste though. Thanks for filling me in.

5:15 PM. I haven't read a thing yet, either Janie! Haha! Stew is still cooking. Just put potatoes and carrots in, and I put a German chocolate cake in the oven.'corn bread will go in when the potatoes and carrots are closer to being done. After the Cowboys' devastating loss, I sold some books to the used bookstore and made $10.50. I bought books 9 and 10 in Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme Series. Talked to my grandpa for a bit after I got home. Grandma is doing okay. Since I can't really do anything else for cooking until later, and Dad is reading the newspaper, football is on, and Mark is occupied with whatever he does, (haha!!), I'm going to read. Or at least try to...lol
7:01PM So guess what? I still have not read anything. While waiting on dinner I was organizing book shelves and series. LOL Then after eating and cleaning kitchen Jamie, Kay's friends mom came to get her and we talked for a little while, then I did a work out, and got a shower and here I am. I have not heard from Amy today for when Ave's will be coming, so I guess I will read a bit, or try to.
Kathryn I hope your stew is awesome! And I hope you get to read.

10:31 p.m. EDT Just been reading all day. Have two more to read for blog tours. Dunno if there will be any editing this week, the author scheduled had the flu last week so might be running behind.
10:15PM Aeverie is here, but asleep so that is good. I am stumbling through HOL and really can't wait to be done with it. I have never read such a messed up book ever in my life. I won't lie there has been a lot of great parts to the book, but all the annoying, irritating, boring, hard to read parts kinda takes away from those good parts. Just my opinion. I also picked up Ashes to Ashes and started reading that. I discovered that I had 3 of the 4 in that series.
10:28 PM. The stew and cornbread were delicious! It was definitely worth the wait! And and and!!!! We have leftovers for tomorrow! Yay! I've been reading while Mark does stuff on his iPad and watches tv. This book is really good so far. Mark is going to go to bed, so I think I'm going to go read in bed. I will check in a bit later before I go to sleep. :)
2.27 PM Having a quick lunch break and trying to catch up on all the GR goss I missed over the weekend! I don't think I'll get much reading done tonight because I have to do some bookkeeping - the deadline with the tax office is today and of course I've left it until the last minute!
5:48am haven't been on here for a while as I've had a lot of college work to do. luckily I only have 1 essay to write now. just finished my book so I'll probably start my last essay now.
5:41 a.m. EDT Hubby is off washing some clothes. I tried to sleep but between the pain in my back and the pain in my broken tooth I couldn't. I'll probably try again in a bit, though, I'm really tired. As suspected, this week's manuscript did not arrive, so lots of time to read this week.
9:12AM Kay stayed home today, she is not feeling well. Hope it is just allergies. She and Aves are watching Beetlejuice together. Just made breakfast for everyone. So I will have a short work out soon. Tonight we will carve the pumpkin! Aeverie will love it. Gonna try and read some now. Have a good day everyone!
9:25 AM. Good morning! I'm getting ready for coffee and oatmeal. I will definitely finish my current read, which has turned out to be excellent. I think I'm going to pause after that to clean out this closet in our hallway and my antique buffet table which was my great-grandmother's. I might have a possible buddy read of Firestarter with Michelle starting. Hope everyone has a great day!Janie, hope Kay feels better! I have a slight sore throat, and my allergies are flaring up. All the rain isn't helping I'm sure.
1:21 PM. I just finished my review for "These Things Hidden." It was excellent and highly recommended. It's been a while since I've had such an interesting, compelling read. I think I will make a quick lunch, and get to working on cleaning out the closet. Mark said we could wait and do it this weekend, but, I think I will just get it done early so we can save the weekend for fun, instead of cleaning. LOL.
3:56 PM I just got home from the library with two Deaver books:) I am having a snack and checking Goodreads before I start my chores and homework.
I take my explorer tests tomorrow. Hopefully I do well on those so they put me into good classes in High School:)
5:05 p.m. and I'm loosing my mind. Dealing with student loads and deferments is getting the best of me. Have been sending material to them since August 13. I am literally sick to my stomach right now. I cannot afford a $460 a month payment when I make 8.50 an hour. Sorry to rant, but I must or I will go crazy. Plan to read in a little while, but too wound up now.
16 bean soup with ham, ham bone and veggies cooked all day in the crockpot. With toasted French bread. I've had to fight off the natives until dinner:)
Cindy, sorry to hear about that. I had the same problem, they offered to work out a payment plan but they wanted way more than I could afford, since I was out of work at the time. I just ignored them. Apparently, eventually they will give up. *snort* Hehe. Yeah, it's not working too well, but *shrug*7:21 p.m. EDT Have a headache, so I thought I'd take a break from reading and watch some Hulu, maybe some Sleepy Hollow and/or Agents of SHIELD. I've been stuck on YouTube now for about an hour... Hee. I have a YouTube problem...
Kathryn wrote: "5:20 PM. I'm heading over to Susan's for dinner. Haha!"Lol. Come on ova. We have plenty lots!
6:53PM Just got back from the playground. We were only there for a short time because Aeverie decided to get into the mud puddles. So now we will be carving the pumpkin as soon as Randy is done with this movie he is watching. Enjoying some coffee and I will be reading some more once the pumpkin is done.
8:14pm ET. Tired after a long day, but mostly because i stayed up to read.... my reading was completely off this weekend, and was taken up by stupid movies... most of which, i have seen. Going to get Blue World and Pilo Family Circus done, so I can be ready for The Twelve!!
Janie, have you posted the buddy read yet??
909pm- sort of watching the voice, while checking into gr. waiting for the blacklist to come on-love that showvictor-good luck with the testing
cindy-sorry about the stress-hope it all works out
Janie-fyi- heard there is going to be a sequel to beetlejuice
katy-hope you feel better
Susan wrote: "Kathryn wrote: "5:20 PM. I'm heading over to Susan's for dinner. Haha!"Lol. Come on ova. We have plenty lots!"
Can I come too?! :D
I really feel for you Cindy, I hope things settle for you soon so that you can have some peace of mind. Situations like that can be so stressful {{{HUGS}}}
10:41 p.m. EDT Still wasting time watching Sleepy Hollow. I have a hankering to watch The Pick of Destiny again now, since I was talking about it with a friend...
10:57PM Watching some TV with my wife. Catching up on the ton of stuff we have taped on our DVR. Haven't read anything in two days which means I have neglected Dr Sleep. Cindy, I completely understand what you are going through. One of my student loans wants 515$ a month and we just don't have it with all the other bill we have. Good luck with your battles.
Katy, I really like Sleepy Hollow. The first epiesode was great but I have enjoyed the turn this show is taking.
11:58PM, just about ready to hit the hay. Got our pumpkin carved this evening. Aves had a blast. I did not really read anymore tonight though. Will get back to the books in the morning! Yes Alondra there is a thread for The Twelve! It was deactivated. LOL Here is our pumpkin! Jack Skellington! Heh!
12:11 AM. I had a great hour run this evening. I've been doing a lot of cleaning today: cleaned and organized our hall closet of junk and my antique buffet table, which I just finished. We had Frito chili pie for dinner, and I am trying to think of a short read to tie me over until the 1st. I have a lot of books I choose from, but not sure what I'm in the mood for. I do know I want something to start when I get to bed. I'm achy now from all of the cleaning, but it makes me feel sooooo much better to have this stuff organized. Going to go pick out a book and hop in bed with my snuggly Gizmo.
Love the pic of you with your pumpkin Janie! That is so fantastic! I've never carved a pumpkin before but now I really want to :DKathryn sounds like you are super organised! If you've run out of things you can come to my house ;)
Haha Michelle!!!! You know it is...every now and then things need to be gone through, organized, and or thrown away. It's amazing how much crap people can accumulate!
So true Kathryn, I've certainly accumulated quite a bit that's for sure. I think I could probably go on one of those hoarders shows haha!
3:22 AM. Such a sleepless night....ugh....I have not slept well at all. I guess from all of the standing, bending, etc. I did while organizing and then running, strained my legs. My upper legs are cramping so badly it's keeping me awake. Finally found the heating pad to hopefully make my legs stop cramping. Ugh....I hate sleepless nights......
Aww poor thing Kathryn hope you get some test soon. 8.01pm late tea tonight, chicken cacciatore almost ready - yum!! Hopefully I'll get some reading done before bedtime.

Of course!! Love Chicken Cacciatore. Yum.

It is cornmeal and pork stock, pork all ground fine. It comes in a mini loaf pan shape in the freezer section. I slice it and fry it to a nice brown. It's yummy. I use it in place of bacon or sausage sometimes. Yummm
