10:15 a.m just got done eating an English muffin with honey and drinking a glass of milk. Watching This Old House on PBS they're redoing a beach house that sat ground level, and raising it up to 10 ft above ground. Kinda cool. Otherwise I'm not doing much yet, gotta get my shower and stuff before I can be ready for anything else, lol.

9:17AM A beautiful fall morning over here. Kay was wanting to do another walk. We will see. I love this time of the year! Fall Fest was fun last night, but I did not take pictures. Mainly because Aeverie was not there. :/ Just had Breakfast, english muffin & a banana with some orange juice. I am craving some coffee now. LOL
I always used to melt colby cheese on English muffins. Mmm. Tasty.11:28 a.m. EDT Ended up with almost enough sleep after my series of naps over the course of yesterday and this morning. Need to wake up hubby so we can go have lunch, but he came to bed pretty late, so I'm trying to wait another couple hours before I really make an effort at it...
4:15 p.m. and I'm just chillin and watching a football game. Reading in-between. Took it easy this weekend other than working yesterday and I feel pretty good. Leaving in an hour or so and then I plan to come home and go to bed. Read about 300 pages in one book over the course of the last few days, which is pretty good for me. I think my new meds are starting to help the depression. At least I feel better today anyway. Hope everyone has a great day!
Glad to hear you're doing well, Cindy!5:23 p.m. EDT Badgered hubby out of bed and to Outback but he didn't feel like eating, so just basically kept me company. He's taking a nap now, and I'll probably take one soon.
4:30PM Just had dinner will soon be working out. Maybe take a walk. Not sure yet if Aves is coming this evening or in the morning. Won't know till Amy gets off of work. House of Leaves has been very exhausting to read, almost painful. So I have not read much today at all, which is nice once in awhile.
Cindy sounds like a great day for you! YAY!

Janie wrote: " House of Leaves has been very exhausting to read, almost painful. So I have not read much today at all, which is nice once in awhile."Sorry to hear that, Janie. I was going to read that but I just couldn't swing it.
Glad it's working for you, Cindy. You work too dang hard not to enjoy your free time.
The previews for CARRIE do look AWESOME!
4:47 PM... Dallas Cowboys won--WOOT!
I've got to where I really like naps and I'm thinking it's just about that time for me, too.
6:44PM Had dinner and a work out, but rather than take a walk I decided to just sit back and relax instead. Picked up Still Life With Crows and read some more of that. Glad to see that it got a bit more exciting. I will pick back up with House of Leaves maybe later this evening or tomorrow, we will see. Ave's is coming tonight, so waiting for him to get here.
CHUCK YAY right for the boys! WOOT! I love football!

8pm Been reading Dr Sleep for about an hour..will read a bit more before I tune into Walking Dead with hubby and daughter....and we chow on dessert ..pumpkin pie. Mmm..
8:41 p.m just got back from Dad's house. Got good news that the house we were trying to get is a go, and we should be able to start moving in around the first week or two of November. Yay! Can't wait. Now I'm just checking up with GR while kiddo watches some Bob the Builder, then going to read. Almost done with my current read, another yay! All in all, not a bad day :)
853pm- just checking into gr-trying to figure out what to read next-hope to finish the scorch trials tonight which ufortunately isn't half as good as the first book in the series.congrats on the job chris
congrats on the house kit
hope everyone is having a good night.
Congratulations Chris, I'm so happy to hear you have a new job to look forward to, I know how much you hate your current position. Onwards and upwards!!! What will you be doing in your new role? Hope you are starting to feel better Kathryn, sounds like that migraine really knocked you around. I hope you hear something about the job soon, I hate having to wait for a call like that!
1pm Just having a lunch break, checking GR and reading some more Game of Thrones. Had a super busy weekend with weddings, birthdays, lunches etc but it was really nice spending time with friends and family. Didn't get much reading done so really looking forward to getting back into it.
9:36PM So Aeverie is here, but he is watching a movie with his Aunt at the moment, so I have been able to read a bit more in SLWC. It has gotten more exciting and that makes me happy. I will switch back to HOL probably tomorrow some time.
I love pumpkin pie. Mmmm.12:24 a.m. EDT Didn't manage much sleep, mostly just laid here tossing and occasionally turning. Will try again soon...
11:39 PM. Whew..what a weekend. Saturday we slept in until after ten, and I made us some breakfast. We got cleaned up, and my dad met us at our house to go to the annual Half-Price Books clearance sale. Mark bought a ton of books for himself, my dad bought a few, and I I bought a Jeffrey Deaver book and two books for the coffee table. I was disappointed. We got home at five-ish, my dad went home, and we watched a little tv while we talked about what to do for the night. We got some food, and went to a few other places. We had come to a consensus we needed desperately to clean our extra bedroom. It had become a junk room of sorts, and the cats had made a mess in it as well. We took almost everything out , except furniture, went through every box, threw away all of the things we don't need, and just cleaned the room. We stayed up until 2 am working on it, and after getting up at 10, eating some breakfast, we got back to it today and finished it. Mark had SO much crap!! I think I'm rubbing off on him a bit, because he threw so much unnecessary stuff away. My dad came over and cooked us a delicious dinner and we watched football. Dad went home, and I think Mark and I are exhausted because we just sat and didn't do a thing. So, that was our weekend! Thank you all for the well-wishes! I'm feeling 100% better! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend!!
11:41PM Plan on reading till I hit 100 pages for today! LOL Everyone in bed but me. I am getting sleepy so soon I will crawl into bed. g'night GR!
Katy, Mark does a lot of woodwork, and one project he has been working on are gun cases lined with foam on the inside. He bought all of this foam last year and put it in the extra bedroom until he was ready to use it. Anyways, Pepper has Pica and she chews the foam. I would always clean it up and move it, but she would find it, and chew it again. A few weeks ago, she chewed it soooooo badly. It was everywhere! So, that was a big part of the mess. We ended rearranging a lot of stuff to hide it from her in the now locked closet so she can't do that again. Cats will be cats....poor thing can't help it though. Her vet is the one who told us she has Pica after we told her about all of the stuff she has chewed/eaten. I'm just glad Gizmo doesn't do the same thing!

It's pretty easy. Don't over think it. Good crust and the perfect amout of spice. Easy: Pumkin puréed and sweetened condensed milk, depending on your elevation a little beaten egg. Mmm's
Michelle wrote: "I've never had pumpkin pie, I must try to make one someday :)"Oh, precook your crust a bit with beans in the middle to keep it from ballooning up. Poke with fork at two min.
And don't forget to top off your slice of pie with a dollop of whipped cream! Next weekend I'm thinking apple pie! Love the holiday scents too!
Michelle, you've never had pumpkin pie?? Oh, you poor creature. It's the BEST. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner :-)10:06 a.m. EDT Managed some decent sleep for a change, had some weird dreams. That seems to be the norm lately! Woke up with a song in my head that I'm not terribly familiar with, so I'll have to try to look it up.
9:35AM Took a lil nap while Aves still slept, so that was soooo nice! I love when he stays asleep after Kay goes to school. A lot of times I am up till real late, and getting up in the AM is yucky. LOL So gonna read a bit of House of Leaves if Aeverie allow me to. Not gonna brew any coffee, Oh maybe I will, because when I say it, It calls to me. LOL
I am the only in the family that does not really care for pumpkin pie. I mean I can eat it, but I would choose others over it.

I'm not big on pumpkin pie, but I like pumpkin roll or bread or my grandma makes these little pumpkin sugar cookies that are good. Kiddo likes it too, but not babe, he abhors the taste and smell of pumpkin. I made a pumpkin bread the other day with walnuts and a lil bit of white chocolate chips, it was good. Kept a third of the loaf for me and kiddo and gave the other 2/3 to my dad last night, cause he loves punkin foods.Anyway, is 11:15 a.m getting kid some breakfast and thinking about getting showered and ready for the day. Think we might go to step-dad's this afternoon if it doesn't rain, babe's volunteered to help with firewood again. Also gotta go to the laundromat, if not today, then tomorrow. Tonight though we get to go look at the new house, as I haven't seen the inside yet, just the outside. I'm excited to see it and get a feel for how it's going to suit us.
I'm drooling with all this Pumpkin talk. I love any backed good that can be made from pumpkin. My wife makes these chocolate pumpkin spice brownies that are amazing, as well ad the breads, muffins, and cupcakes with cream cheese icing. I also love Pumpkin beer. Schlafley (which is a St Louis brewery) has the best I think but there are tons out there I still have to try. 10:58AM and I'm working today. Don't start my new job till Nov 4th and even then I will be working both jobs till January just to make a little extra money for the holidays and keep my benefits till they kick in at the new job.
Good luck with your new job Chris!1:58 p.m. Trying to get rid of this cold. Hope I'm better by Sunday! :-\
3:54 p.m. EDT Just finished my editing, clearing out e-mail, then I think some frozen yogurt and reading.

I hope you feel better Holly. Fighting off a cold is no fun. Thanks for the well wishes. I don't actually start for 2 weeks but I'm excited.
3:19PM I am almost finished with my day and I can't wait to get home and relax. Work the late shift tomorrow so I look forward to a little extra sleep tomorrow.
Get better soon Holly!Wow, pumpkin beer Chris?! I didn't know such a thing existed!
I love to roast pumpkin when I'm having a roast, or even steamed pumpkin or sometimes in a fritatta but I've never had it in anything sweet it seems like a strange idea to me - definitely keen to give it a go though!
Oh yes Michelle! I'm more of a fan of pumpkin flavored coffee and lattes too! Pumpkin flavors everywhere this time of year.
7:55PM sitting here hoping for the Giants to lose lol. Ave's is watching a movie. We took a walk and Ave's got to see the horses and pet them. He enjoyed it a lot plus great exercise for me. Been reading HOL, really enjoyed chapter 5. Plan on reading more once Ave's falls asleep.
9:19 p.m. and I'm watching The Voice and reading during commercials. I really need to go to bed. Have to get up at 4:30 a.m. in the morning.
8:44 PM about to read Phantoms by Dean Koontz. I counted all my books and found out that I own 389 books! And I still need more LOL
953pm-just checking into gr before watching the blacklist at 10pm-love that showhow is phantoms victor? i'm a dean fan but don't think i've read that one
11:27 p.m. EDT Tried to take a nap but only ended up making my back ache and not sleeping. Need to smack hubby around, he hasn't deposited his check, nor has he bought any groceries this week and we're out of food. Or easily consumed food, anyway... :-)
