11:44 a.m. EDT This turned out to be a good editing week, had a last-minute short project come in this morning, so did that after I finished the one on which I was working. Made enough to finally order a phone for myself, so it's on the way. it'll be nice to be more accessible!

1:05 PM. Just finished soup and crackers for lunch. I have been working on washing and drying laundry as I read, and I will continue until the laundry is hopefully all washed and dried. Hopefully more rain is on the way!!
2:42 p.m. EDT Have a project back for a 2nd pass, which means I need to start working on that soon, but I need a nap...
3:17PM Again not much reading to be done. It seems like when I settle in and get comfortable to start reading Ave's wants something. LOL Not sure what to do for dinner I am thinking maybe chicken wraps tonight. We will see.
3:34 PM and I'm going to relax and read:)Thankyou everyone who wished me good luck and a speedy recovery. The first couple hours after my surgery were very miserable but the pain pills are working now and the dizziness and groggy feeling are gone. My Mom surprised me with a giant get well soon balloon and Doctor Sleep!

741pm- just finished dinner
victor-glad surgery went well. enjoy your book!
Victor, the very first time I had surgery, when I woke up I was still on oxygen, so I started doing Vader imitations, to the amusement of the groggy woman in the next bed... Since then the anesthetic has knocked me out sooner and I haven't woken until I'm off oxygen, but I still remember doing that... Here's hoping the pain meds are FUN! :-)
7:02PM Had a great work out, then showered. Aeverie took a nap this even at almost 5 and is still asleep :::sigh::: so it is gonna be a long night for me. Once he falls asleep there is no waking him up either. Now enjoying some coffee and reading between 3 books. I will never learn. LOL
Glad all went well and that you're starting to feel better already Victor! Sounds like you have a great mum!
8:50pm My daughter convinced me to watch Paranormal Activity..unsure what I got myself into. I'm not sure I want to take the dog outside later.
Ella that movie is really scary, but I was told that it is all actually fake, but they did a good job acting though.
Working tonight but I only have a little over a half hour left. It is dead so I am watching the Baseball game online, Cardinals Vs the Dogers. Wish it was Thursday because then I would have tomorrow off.
Janie..just over an hour into it..so far so good. I have my blanket to pull over my head when needed! LOL
Hahaha Ella, yeah it's a bit freaky hey?!Speaking of movies, I saw Gravity last night - anyone else seen it?
Ella wrote: "8:50pm My daughter convinced me to watch Paranormal Activity..unsure what I got myself into. I'm not sure I want to take the dog outside later."DOn't go Outside!!! Don't go inside!! ...and please don't let your leg hand out from under the covers... hahahha
Ella wrote: "8:50pm My daughter convinced me to watch Paranormal Activity..unsure what I got myself into. I'm not sure I want to take the dog outside later."Lol. It is scary. The series gets better and better.
The Paranormal Activity movies are really boring to me. Nothing happens until the very end of the movies. Not a fan LOL
Hahaha! Glad for the commercials in between. Never heard of Gravity..will have to look into it online.
Hahahaha Alondra!Gravity was good but a bit over the top - a lot of 'zif' moments lol. We watched it in 3D and it was well worth it. The first scenes when they're floating around it space were pretty amazing. It was spectacular but not outstanding, it would have been incredible if they'd made it a bit more believable.
Its 10:52pm, and I'm sitting in bed with my oldest whos defying sleep since he took a late nap... trying to finish up my book so that I can move onto the next. It took the book forever to start, but now I can't stop lol.
Sean wrote: "Signed up to Facebook about 10 days ago, good to get in touch with a few people I've lost touch with. Apart from that MY GOD WHAT AN UTTERLY BANAL WASTE OF TIME, I would post charts showing The Dis..."You got that right, Sean. Very disconcerting.
11:39 PM About to try to read
. Didn't get to read today like I wanted. I decided I better sleep instead. My index fingernail on my right hand is infected and I believe it's turned into a full-blown staph infection. It's all red and swollen and I have a red streak going up the side of my finger. Painful as hell. Thankfully I have some antibiotics on hand. If it gets any worse I am going to have to go to the ER and get a shot, though. :(
Ouch Chuck that sounds really nasty. Hope those antibiotics kick in quickly - if not I think you're right about that trip to the ER :/
Chuck, if you have the wrong antibiotics you can just make things worse by creating a tolerance. Better to go to the ER sooner than lose a finger.1:06 a.m. EDT Thinking about trying to take another nap, feeling very tired and tomorrow is hubby's double shift, so I'll have to send him off early.
Thanks Michelle! I'm sure I'll be fine in a day or two... I keep thinking about life before antibiotics. A person was in real trouble if their system couldn't deal with an infection--I mean, I guess they still are but at least we have antibiotics. People must have really suffered in those days. I bet a lot of amputations happened because of a simple scratch or scrape or poke or whatever. I would have been way too big of a sissy for those days, lol.
1:31 a.m. EDT Almost through the e-mail, then I'll have to confirm D's schedule for tomorrow and crash. He brought me a pumpkin pie from the store. Yummy.
6:42 AM ... Welp, I've only read about 60 pages so far. I think that Keflex may be starting to work because my finger is not quite as red and swollen as it was. I think it's called a 'felon infection' ... painful as heck. I can't even type or use the end of it at all. Using it for anything feels about like stubbing a toe.
7:32AM Kay just left for school about a half hour ago, Aves got up with me. Wish he would have slept longer considering he was awake till after midnight. Last night I did get a good amount read, :::thanks Aves::: So I did hit over 250 in The Vanishing Around 130 pages to go and I will have finished that and my A-Z challenge which is really the only reason I am still reading it. I have been reading a bit of Caught this AM. A very good start to the book. I keep telling myself to get back to The vanishing. LOL
Chuck sorry your finger is infected. You think it could have started from a hangnail? I know that has happened to me before and they hurt so bad too. Hope the antibiotics continue to help.

8:49am EDT. A gray and rainy morning--I love days like this! Waiting for the furnace guy to come for the yearly tuneup. Made some focaccia and the dough is rising. Also made some Asian dipping sauce to have with chicken and rice tonight. Planning a long day of reading and relaxing. Chuck, take care of your finger!
7:45. Good morning GR. quiet around here this morning. Rebecca is getting better and better. It is hard to believe how long ago it was written. Chuck, glad you are seeing some improvement. I hope your pain goes away quickly.
Hi Kathryn!! How's the job hunting? What's for dinner?
Susan, good morning! I am glad to hear you are enjoying Rebecca! The writing is just beautiful in it to me, and the story is excellent.
Kathryn wrote: "Susan, good morning! I am glad to hear you are enjoying Rebecca! The writing is just beautiful in it to me, and the story is excellent."I agree. I have been contimplateing reading Jamaica Run, another one of hers. What do you think of Doctor Sleep?
The job hunt is going okay. I hope the stress pays off soon! Lol. Haha! You gave me a laugh this morning! Thank you! I needed it! Last night, we had red beans and rice with sausage. Tonight, pork chops, which, I haven't decided if I will marinate them, use a dry rub, or what. I've got red potatoes which I'm going to make with some fresh dill and sour cream, and finally, steamed fresh broccoli. :)
