10:03PM So ended up taking Aves to the playground. He is still awake though, playing games on his Dad's old phone. I finished Night in the Lonesome October, lol what a mess that book was. I normally like most of Laymon's works but this one seemed a little hastily thrown together. Anyway now I am reading Doctor Sleep. Its ok, just not great for me. I plan on reading a bit longer to make some more progress.

11:25 PM. Wow...okay...I really thought I had posted here this morning, as usual. But, it appears I didn't. Anyways, today I spent all day looking for a job, then right as I finished, Mark came home, got a workout, shower, and cooked dinner: tilapia, rice, and steamed veggies. I did the dishes and sat down to watch the last part of a football game. I laid down on the couch during and afterwards because I started to get a tension headache. I took some Aleve, and am feeling somewhat better. Now, I'm laying in bed after having not read a thing today, and thinking I deserve to read a few pages. So...I'm off to read....with a Gizzie Girl curled up in my arm. :)

Meh, I slept for less than 4 hours. I really need to have some decent sleep, my eyes won't focus properly. I actually am the only female being in this place (other than spiders), with a husband, three tomcats, and a male dog...

9:52 a.m catching up here. I too am the only female in the house, got my guy, and our son, and the dog and cat are both males. I'm outnumbered, but still the boss, lol! Now just waiting for kiddo to get up, then we're going to go over to my step-dad's for awhile, babe's over there hunting, and then he's going to help split firewood, so we'll prolly end up being over there most of the day. I'd like to run to the dollar store, bought a book yesterday that sounded good, only to come home and discover I already had it, so hoping I can return it, or at least exchange it for a different one. I seriously need a smartphone so I can check my GR shelves when I go to buy books, because this is the third time in a few weeks span that I've bought a book I already had! Sigh... oh well, if they don't let me return it, I guess I can always post it on pbswap...

10:12AM Kay stayed home today, not feeling well, and boy can you tell it too. She has already ran Aves out, she very irritable, and she acts completely helpless. I told her to take it easy with Aves because she feels the need to yell at him. So I hope she feels better soon. I am not sure if Aves will let me read or not as he is already sitting in my lap. LOL waiting to watch some scary videos.

Ahh. Sorry about your little one. It sucks to be sick. I miss the days my boys could sit in my lap. My youngest still try's but he way out weighs me. He thinks its funny and I do too once he is off of me. Argh lol. I just opened my "Xtraflex LED, 2 settings. Book light :))YaY

Gizzie is short for Gizmo. She is my calico cat. We have two cats. The other one is Pepper, and she is a white Siamese. Thank you! I have a Master's degree in Political Science, and have yet to find a job in my field. So, I've resigned myself to finding a job which I will just be happy in. Lol

Things are rough out there. I wish you all the luck in finding something that will be satisfying. I had a white Siamese with (not crossed), eyes while I was growing up. She lived for 18 years and of course ran the house.:) Very smart

11:59am EDT. Hello everyone. I've been off line for a week today due to a spectacularly bad reaction to a new drug my doc tried. It was really awful. I've been essentially bedfast for a week and am just getting back on my feet today. It will take a while for me to catch up on all the back posts here. I haven't read a word for a week which is how you know I was really sick. In the times in my life when I've been seriously ill I always knew I was on the way back when I started to read again. The problem is, I was halfway through 2 highly intense books--Doctor Sleep and In the Miso Soup--and I've totally lost momentum. Plus, they are almost too intense for me in my current fragile state. I haven't decided if I'll try to finish them or put them down for a while for something lighter. (I never would have made it through the week without the cuddles of my 15 month old puppy Charlie.) Anyway, greetings and best wishes to all. Hope you've had a better week than I have!

1:46 p.m. EDT Just finished the book for Friday's blog tour, starting on the next NetGalley book once I clear out e-mail. The dog is out and the big spider is all huddled on the roof. I hope she's okay. I saw another a bit farther down the wall that's quite striking, sort of a charcoal with white markings on the abdomen and a lighter grey head. No idea what it is, but it's quite a lovely thing.

4:01pm~ I finally got some good sleep and feel much better. I'm cooking up some Pasta for brunch, waiting on UPS to delivery my second replacement of the Nook HD (the one they sent me originally was messed up. The first one they sent me to replace it was a used one, and I purchased it new). I have a lot of cages that I'm not looking forward to cleaning today, but hopefully I'll get some good reading time in between. Going to eat! I hope everyone is having a good day! :)

7:12 p.m just got finished sweeping all the floors upstairs and down, and made a wee smidge of progress on my packing stuff/throwing stuff out. Just downed the last of my Red Bull (alas, sugar free, upon dentist's orders) and now I'm relaxing for a minute. Then I'm going to get up and light the candles... bout the only thing I like about the cooler weather is I can burn all my smelly good candles. Plus, they warm the house up a bit. Bonus. Definitely going to force myself to get some reading done tonight, if it kills me!

7:45PM Went to Subway for dinner after picking Kay up from school then after we ate we took Aves to the park and we played there for a bit. Then we went to Dollar General because Aves wanted a drink so we looked around a bit there. Kay and I got some Orange and black nail polish. Aves is not gonna let me read at all. LOL And now hub is watching videos so I need to try reading in the library, if Aves will allow. Enjoying some coffee, YUM! Would really love to hit pg. 300 in Doctor Sleep. We will see.
