10:42PM It has been pretty quiet and relaxing since Aeverie went to sleep. I have made some progress in 2 books I am reading. One being Shelter by Harlan Coben, and then whilst I was at the playground with Aeverie I started Trick or Treat by Richie Tankersley Cusick on my phone. LOL I love her style and have been dying to get to this book. So anyway I will read for a couple more hours I think.

2:17am EDT. Looks like no sleep tonight. Have the shakes and I'm sweating like crazy. Bruised all over because my anticoagulants are out of whack. This is no fun at all. Thanks to you all for your concern, it really helps. Luckily I have 3 good books to distract me. That's a good thing, I've been having trouble finding exactly what I want to read until today. A GR friend sent me some really good stuff for the kindle, and hub made really productive library run for me. Pain meds are finally kicking in so I'm going to cuddle with the puppy and read some more. Hope you all are having a better night than I am!

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments So sorry to hear you're having a rough time Terri :( Glad you've got some good books and a puppy to distract you! I used to be on anticoagulants and they were horrible. I was always so embarrassed in summer - my bruises were so terrible that people looked at my funny when I passed them in the shops. My poor husband, I'm sure some people thought I was a domestic abuse victim :/ Hope they get the balance right again for you very soon (((HUGS)))

6:54AM Good Morning GR. Kay will be walking out the door for school in about 5 min. Aves is not yet awake, and I am here ready to have some coffee and read! The books I am reading have been phenomenal. That makes me very happy. I should finish them today.

Terri I am so sorry you have been out of sorts and in so much pain. Hugs for you and healing prayers coming our way.

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments 9:00 AM Working today, I took a vacation day yesterday to be off with my family for my Anniversary. Thank you to everyone for the well wishes for my wife and I. We didn't do anything special but it was nice to spend the time together and relax.

Terri, I'm so sorry you were up and couldn't sleep. I wish I could help but medical issues are out of my range of things I can fix. I hope you are having a better day and got a little sleep at least.

Happy Anniversary, Chris!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:24 AM. Woke up this morning to the news of Tom Clancy's passing. I am pretty sad about this. His books have been into grandparents' home since I can remember, and my dad has read some of his books. :(

Anyways, drinking some coffee and have already eaten my oatmeal. I stayed up until 1:30 to finish Different Seasons, so I will be writing my review in a moment. I will also be starting Doctor Sleep today! I need to get some laundry started. First, I'm off to write my review. Happy Wednesday!

message 7009: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments So sorry to hear you couldn't sleep Terri. I had to take a Restoril to end up with 6 hours. Anticoagulants are horrible things. Last time I was in hospital they insisted on giving them to me and after just three days I ended up with a nosebleed that just would not stop. I NEVER had a nosebleed before. Nasty.

11:40 a.m. EDT Dmitry had to work a double today, so he was up early. I'll have to put out the dog in a couple hours. I only had about a half hour left in my book, so I finished it before logging in. I'll be starting another soon...

11:55am EDT. Had about a 3 hour nap this morning so am feeling much better. Thanks to you all for your support and concern! Drinking some yummy coffee and ready to hit the books. A gray and overcast day--perfect for reading. Now if only it would rain! (We need it and I love rainy days.)

I love rainy days too and we just haven't had them here. It either rains briefly late at night when I'm asleep or it misses us by just a few miles. I love how calming the sound of rain can be.

11:11AM R.I.P. Tom Clancy. I never read his stuff but I know he must have been an incredible author.

So I have been really enjoying my day mostly because Aves has let me read as much as I want! YAY! he has been entertained with movies. So today I will be finishing 2 great books, Shelter and Trick or Treat, both deliciously creepy and mysterious. I have so enjoyed them both. I recommend them to anyone. They both have had me guessing throughout the stories and I have found myself a little apprehensive in parts because of the creepiness factor. LOL So anyway they have both been great to start off the Halloween season.

Terri glad to hear you are feeling better today! That makes me happy.

Chris so glad to hear you had a good day together with your wife. That is awesome. Hub and I rarely go out to do stuff for anniversary, and as you say, just being together to share the day is enough.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 1:56 PM. I haven't started Doctor Sleep yet, but I will in a bit after I get a few things done. My review of Different Seasons took me an hour to write, and it was worth the time. Going to turn up some music and get stuff done. :)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments 7:42 p.m. EDT Okay, I've had a plan up to now, but now I'm not completely certain what to read next. I think I'll read Hungry Ghost because I was supposed to try to read that last week and didn't quite manage it... I have a really heavy editing schedule this month plus a lot of blog tours, so I'll be pretty busy between all of that. Whee...

8:31PM Had Spaghetti for dinner, then did my work out and of course Aves got to go to the playground. So while we were there I pulled out my phone and read a quick little short from Keelan Patrick Burke called Offline. Was pretty good due to the reality of it. I did not expect it to be exactly was it was though. But sure did draw me in and I was done in no time at all.

So now I am here catching up on GR and gonna read some more of And She Was. Unfortunately this one has not captured me as much as the previous 2 books I read. I am hoping it will get a bit better though. Aves has fallen asleep early again so that is awesome. We will take him home tomorrow.

message 7018: by [deleted user] (new)

10:27 p.m. and I just got home. Gonna read for about an hour and hit the sack.

Terri - glad you were to finally get a nap at least. Hope you get more rest soon.

Tom Clancy - what a terrible loss. R.I.P.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:55 PM. Gizmo girl just curled up on me since I got in bed. I decided to take a short break from reading for most of the day to get some things done, and Mark and I watched a funny, cute movie. Now, I'm in bed and starting Doctor Sleep. I hope everyone has or is having a great evening.

Cindy, I hope you get some reading in before you go to sleep.

Janie, glad you have been able to read while Aeverie is there.

Chris, glad you and Erin had a nice anniversary.

I increased the incline on my run yesterday, so I'm pretty sure that is why my legs feel this way. Anyways, I've been up for a while. I made my yummy oatmeal and had a small glass of orange juice. Now, I'm going to get back into Doctor Sleep.

Kathryn I hope your legs feel better. At least you know you got a good workout or else you wouldn't be in pain.

Kit, I would love to have a good rainy day.

Sarah, I hope your boy feels better. That has to be miserable for both of you. Good luck today.

message 7027: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Kathryn, you should have your potassium and magnesium levels checked. Leg cramps can be caused by a deficiency. Maybe you're slightly dehydrated? I know how frustrating it is to not be able to sleep. It looks like I'm going to be having one day a week where I sleep fairly well and the rest of the time will be just a few hours here and there...

1:05 p.m. EDT Turned out the lights at 1 in the morning and finally managed some decent sleep. Finally gave up on sleeping any more at noon. I have a pounding headache, but otherwise feel much better for the sleep.

Where, oh where, has Janie been? I've missed her updates today. :(

Katy, you could be right about the potassium. Every now and then, this happens, and a banana solves the problem.

Chris, thanks! Hope you've had a great day!

I'm (mostly) joking. I like raw veggies, but except for corn (which I can't have anyway) I don't like 'em cooked. I love raw spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, that sort of thing, but I can't stand having them cooked. *shrug*

message 7045: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller i love veggies, to an extent. I like raw carrots, not cooked, i love cooked broccoli and tolerate raw. I like raw cauliflower in minuscule amounts. I love sweet peas and corn; tolerate green beans. I hate anything purple or lime green lookin'... i could go on and on. I am a very picky eater.

9:42PM WOW WOW WOW what a busy day today! I did not even really have a chance to get here. I thought I posted early this AM, but I guess it was just a thought that crossed my mind. Anyway I was up at 5:30 this morning along with Aves. So I did my email and that was about the extent of what I was able to accomplish. LOL Then we went out and were gone all day. So now here I am, and I must say I totally figured something out about myself. I really do truly have a sickness when it comes to books. You know before I would just joke about it, but now yea, I really have a problem. It is near impossible to keep myself away from the book store. I walked out of there with 15 new books. Now though, don't judge, they were all on the sales rack except for 2 of them. The 2 not on the sales rack, well my wonderful enabling son bought those for me. But the one was called Seconds away, and guess what!!?? It is book 2 in Cobens YA series. I was like celebrating that I just happen to see that book. O: Ok so anyway, I will post them in bought books thread.

Kathryn thank you so much for what you posted about missing my updates. That means a lot. I miss all of you when I am not able to get here.

Oh and BTW I LOVE VEGGIES!
