What time is it and what are you doing?
9:36AM Been at work since 7:30 this morning for a meeting. Really hope the day goes by quickly. I'm tired. I have the weekend off because my Anniversary is Tuesday so I am looking forward to getting off work. My wife and I will have been married 8 years October 1st. We have been a couple for 11 years as of this past May and known each other for even longer. I'm a very lucky man. Hope everyone has a great day and I hope to get some reading in.
9:51AM Will be heading out again. We never stopped at the grocery store, so we will be doing that today. By the time we were ready for groceries last night we were tired lol. I have not read anything today. *sigh* but that is ok I will read some time today!
Congrats on your upcoming anniversary, Chris! I met Dmitry 12 years ago this October and we'll have our 12th anniversary in February... Time flies!1:43 p.m. EDT It turns out that when I can't sleep I can do a lot of reading... so at least there is some advantage to dealing with this pain... LOL
2:08pm The clock is slow at the office. Woke up with a cold and on my second large cup of tea. Blah!
Ella, I hope you feel better! Try some hot tea, though coffee always makes me feel warm and relaxed. :)
1:15 PM. We just got back from buying four new, cute little fish for the tank. I am kind of getting hungry, so maybe I will suggest lunch to the boy. :)
Kathryn wrote: "1:15 PM. We just got back from buying four new, cute little fish for the tank. I am kind of getting hungry, so maybe I will suggest lunch to the boy. :)"Thanks Kathryn. My couch and blanket are calling me! Do you have a fresh or salt water tank? We've had both years ago..I prefer salt water because the fish are so colorful but it was alot of work. We have a dog now . :)
2:20PM So we just got home time to relax now. Gonna try and read.
Chris Happy Anni in a few days! May you have many more years together.

OMG! Jeff would kill me if I forgot our anniversary. Thank you so much for reminding me Chris and happy anniversary! Jeff and I have been together 12 years Sep. 30th. Gonna read for about 30 minutes then I have things to do. Plus, I have to be at work 5:30 a.m. in the morning, so I doubt I'll be on GR's much tonight.
Cindy wrote: "OMG! Jeff would kill me if I forgot our anniversary. Thank you so much for reminding me Chris and happy anniversary! Jeff and I have been together 12 years Sep. 30th. We don;t have anything planned, short on funds doesn't allow for much in the way of a night out. I'm just happy we are still together. I can't believe we have been married so long.
5:24 PM. It's looking a little overcast outside, so I hope it means some rain soon. I have been sleepy most of the day, so I'm drinking a big cup of chocolate coffee. We went and bought more wood for Mark, and now that we are home, I think I'm going to go sit in my comfortable chair and read for a while. I love having Mark on vacation, but it has cut into my reading time. Oh well...it is worth the extra time we have spent together. :)
Kathryn we had a 55 gal tank. Tried fresh then salt. 75 is super huge! Fish tanks are relaxing. 7:05 pm.... Left work early. Movement so far has been from the couch upstairs to the couch downstairs. Debating ...TV..read, or take NyQuil and call it a night .
9.11 am Good morning everyone! Just having some breakfast and catching up on GR. Going to visit my brother and nephew in a few hours then heading into the city to have dinner at my Mother in laws. Should be a great weekend!
7:46 p.m. and just got home. Cooking dinner, taking a shower, and reading for a very short time. I am sorta glad that I am working so early tomorrow. Get it over and done. Off at noon then a school fair with grandkids.

That's always nice. I enjoy quiet time.

8:15 PM there isnt a football game tonight for our band so I'm relaxing in bed after I nice steak dinner with my family hopefully I won't fall asleep to early but its looking like I may fall asleep soon!!
8:43PM just got home a little over an hour ago. Now enjoying some coffee and gonna read my book. I have been learning my phone so not much reading time,. And I really wanna finish this by the end of the month? That is not gonna happen at this pace.
Hey, Cindy, sounds like 2001 was a good year for meeting spouses... :-)9:50 p.m. EDT Had a short nap, now clearing out e-mail before I go back to reading. It's an exciting life... But I did just randomly receive a manuscript to edit. Just waiting to hear back if my timeline will work for the guy... He was hoping for next week, but the one I have for next week will probably take me awhile, so I told him maybe, but more likely week after. We'll see!
8:49am EDT. It's a beautiful fall morning and I'm drinking coffee and checking out GR. Feeling like it's going to be a good weekend. I had an EMG yesterday--a dastardly test where they put needles in your muscles and attach electrodes to your skin so they can shock your muscles to see if there's nerve damage. It turns out I do have nerve damage on the outer aspect of my thigh from when I had surgery for a broken femur/hip. Nothing much to do but use pain meds as needed. At least I know I'm not crazy and I feel validated that the pain is real. I'm finally out of my reading slump and have a couple good books going. Off to make some toast to share with the puppy, and then maybe a short morning walk. Hope everyone has a great day!
Oh, Terri, I've had that test twice checking my left arm, but I think I need to do it again, because now when I stretch to the left to pick something up my fingers are going numb, so I think I finally have nerve impingement in my neck. Sorry you had to go through it, but I'm happy they found the problem.8:57 a.m. EDT I was so tired, so I finally took a sleeping pill last night so I could sleep. Hubby opened up the window in here when he came to bed, so I'm freezing right now. I only had it open a tiny crack to let in fresh air, but now it's open several inches and it was cold last night. Brrrrr. It should be warm today, though, so I'm sure I'll warm up soon enough...
9:33 AM super nervous this saturday morning!! Getting ready for the first band competition of the season WISH ME LUCK
I used to have a little 15 gallon freshwater tank with a couple little fishes in it, and cute little decorations. Used to sit and watch em... I miss it :( I always wanted one of those huge tanks though! Would be awesome :DIt's 10:06 a.m I'm just waiting for kiddo get up, not doing much of anything this a.m. Got a little get-together at my mom's later this evening for her husband's b-day, that's about it. Maybe if it's not too chilly I'll take the kid to a playground. I dunno, we'll see. Babe's over at his brother's house working on something, won't be back to this afternoon, so I'm bored :\
9:20 AM. Good cloudy morning! I hope we get some rain! Mark gets his haircut at 11:15, so I will have to get ready to go after a while. I need some breakfast soon. I hope to read today. You all know I love to read when it rains!
Good luck, Heather.11:51 a.m. EDT Hubby had to go in early today, work a double shift. It's a big game day here, so the town is probably going to be full of people. I'm just as happy I don't have to go anywhere!
11:54am EDT. About to shower and go to work. I wish I could ever call in when I don't feel good and take a day off, but it's not that kind of job; I'd just have to make it up by working one of my normal days off, since there isn't a person to take up the slack. :(
12:05pmET. eating breakfast, catching up on updates, reading a little and chilling out... i love Saturdays. :)
1:10PM I just finished doing some voluntary community service at a good place called Viet now where we make lunches for homeless veterans. Now I'm going to read Divergent:)
1:46PM Had a salad for lunch and also just got off the phone with my sister. Did a 9 minute mission and now I am gonna read.
3:59 p.m. EDT Finished that book, considering a nap. One of our neighbors was grilling steaks earlier and it was making me crazy. I hope Dmitry will consent to take me for a steak tomorrow... it's been way too long and I'm tired of feeling weak all the time...
3:18 PM. It's been raining for a bit, and it is so nice. We went to get some mini-frozen pizzas for a late lunch, and while those are in the oven, I'm going to read. After I finish eating, I'm going to keep reading. I'm going to really try to finish Different Seasons today. Hopefully I won't have too many distractions. :)

4:25pm ET. About to head out to dinner with the girls, celebrating one of their birthdays. i am starving already, i could eat a baby cow... heifer! hehehhee... :D
4:48 p.m. and I was supposed to work today from 5:30 a.m. until noon. Well, needless to say, I worked until 3:30 p.m. I am exhausted. Plan to stay home tonight, watch a football game or two, and read.

I second that! It is wonderful that you take the time out to volunteer.

6:11PM About to go take a walk while it is not raining and enjoy this fall weather! YAY! Had chicken wraps for dinner and then did my work out, now gonna get in the shower and then dress for fall and enjoy the evening. I hope that I can read more this evening.
Me too Janie. I got to watching these ball games and have only read three pages since I got home. Oh well, I said I was just gonna relax and take it easy.
7:50PM All I can say is our walk was Amazing!!! 69 degrees and breezy. Loved it. So now gonna drink my coffee and read my book.
10:41 p.m. and I'm attempting to stay awake long enough to watch the original Walking Tall movie with Jeff. Hope I can stay awake because I've been up nearly 24 hours.
10:51 PM our competition sucked we got last place in our division but the only up side to tonight was my lovely boyfriend got me flowers when he saw I was crying over our loss and then that just made my night I love him so much
10:03PM and we had a busy day. We went to our city's Oktoberfest today down by the river and it was a lot of fun. Beer was good too ;-). Then to my in-laws for dinner. Tomorrow we go to the Zoo with my parents and then dinner with them. Busy weekend. Hope everyone is doing well, I might get some reading in tonight still but I'm. Already falling asleep on the couch.
11:09 p.m. EDT Just managed a fairly decent nap. Now I'm stiff and sore but not quite as exhausted. Tiger is howling tonight for some reason.
11:56PM Had a great evening of reading I think. I did get 100 pages in today so that is awesome. Got to pg 800 in The Stand. It got a bit boring there for awhile because all the election stuff going on in the book. Pretty much past all of that now. Overall it has been a great read. I think I will read for a bit longer. I moved into my library it helps me stay awake while I read. LOL And if a book gets boring I will start nodding off.
2:15am EDT. A night of no sleep so I've got some campy movie on TV and I'm checking out GR. It's going to be a long night. Waiting for pain meds to kick in so I can't really concentrate on reading right now. Puppy's asleep on the couch next to me--he likes to cuddle a lot which I love and find very relaxing. Looking forward to some good football later in the day. Will also talk to my younger son who lives in Cleveland and that's a weekly highlight. So if I can just make it through these next few hours I'll be good. Hope everyone is having a good night of sleep (or whatever!).
