6:55pm ET. Cooked a Bertolli and I am done. Nothing like a meal in a bag. That stuff is good.. i am whooped! i hate mondays... hell, i hate working some days too... i need to win the lotto, so i can read, work in the garden and volunteer my time. alas...

However, I want to read both of them about the same. I might hold off a bit on Doctor Sleep so I can read it closer to Halloween and do October List now.

I've always wondered about those Bertolli bag meals. Very glad to hear it was good. I'll have to try one soon.
I am so with you on winning the lotto. I'd love to have a life like that.

they aren't the healthiest things in the world, but they sure are yummy. the chicken parmigiana is good-good. i think lean cuisine and birds-eye have bagged dinners as well.

I like this group FOR THIS VERY REASON, little by little you actually get to know your fellow members. Absolutely everything will offend somebody else at some time or other, especially since the greatest proportion of people on the site are American(see what I mean).
9:17PM Took Ave's to the playground, he of course had a good time. he is actually sleeping right now, so that makes me happy. I can read some more. Enjoyed some coffee and now catching up here on GR, one of my favorite places.
Chris that is so awesome for you! Wow I would be on cloud 9 myself. YAY Go you! I agree with Alondra it is a great dilemma to have! I will be getting Dr. Sleep later this week. Enjoy your books!

10:38 p.m. EDT Tried to take a nap but couldn't manage to settle. Feeling pretty sore tonight. So, I guess I'll go back to reading...
10:51 PM. We got home about thirty minutes ago. It feels so good to lay down on the couch. Our sweet babies missed us. The state park we went to was nice, but isn't a favorite. I got a few pages read on our two and a half hour drive. I'm kind of sleepy, but I am waiting for dinner to heat up, and then maybe drink some coffee. I'd like to read some in a bit, but we will see. I have a few messages to respond to, too! :)
Kathryn welcome home! :) Glad you enjoyed your time out, sorry the state park is not one of your favorites. Hope you get to read for a little bit, but totally understandable if not.
5:09 a.m. EDT Had a nice, albeit a bit short, nap. This morning I have to go have a diagnostic test at the nurses' clinic so I can be fully approved for ongoing treatment at Advantage (likely at no charge, which is a huge relief). Tonight my cousin is dropping by a small loan, which will help us have food and gas the next few weeks until we catch back up...
7am... downloaded Doctor Sleep and read a few more pages. Won't have time to read today or tonite...work all day and then dinner and cocktails with a friend this evening. May have to sneak out more breaks and actually take a lunch outside the office rather than eat at my desk and get some reading done.
7:23 a.m. EDT Just finished one book, about to start another. Have to prepare in about a half hour to go to the nurses' clinic. It's only just starting to turn to dawn, the days are so much shorter; well of course they are, we're just past the Equinox. It always sneaks up on me. The days are still longer than they were farther north, of course; I remember in Minnesota going to work in the dark at 7:30 in the morning and leaving work in the dark at 4:30 in the afternoon... At least the days don't became that short down here! I hadn't realized what a difference it would make, not having lived in the south before I moved down here. Weird...
0636 CST. 24 minutes to go at work, then a jaunt down to the store to pick up my copy of Doctor Sleep!
7:48 am - Going to eat breakfast & get ready to leave for work. I have to stop at the store on the way in. Fortunately, I live in town now so I can walk to work & can leave later than when I used to take the bus!
8:40AM Enjoying some coffee this Am doing some extra laundry that I did not get to on Monday. So getting that finished up. Will probably not get to read much today as Aeverie is here. We will see how that all works out. Would love to hit pg. 650 some time today.

10:40am Just got tickets in advance for a Ghost Walk tour in Newport (RI) early October as a girls night out. Getting into Halloween mode a lil early. Love the city by the sea..
9:50 AM. Drinking coffee and eating cereal. I must have been tired after we got home because I crashed! Going to start some laundry, then read until Mark tells me what he wants to do today. I'm tempted to ask if we can go get Doctor Sleep......:) Ella, that sounds fun!
11 a.m. EDT Oh, man, it's a good thing I never become embarrassed about anything... After they injected the serum for the test today I felt shocky, but figured I'd just walk it off, y'know? (I hate needles) Well, I staggered out of the nurses' office and collapsed right on the floor in the lobby! LOL Gheesh... I really should not have looked at the injection site... that's what set me off. I'm SUCH A WUSS about needles...
10:00Am just finished breakfast with my son. He let me get some more sleep this morning so I made us scrambled eggs and toast. He is watching cartoons, baby girl is playing on the floor and I'm enjoying some coffee and going to read a bit if I can. Really need to finish a graphic novel so I can review it before I start Doctor Sleep or The October List. Still haven't decided.
11:13 a.m. EDT The mail is here, looks like I need to put my shoes back on. BTW, it's a grey and damp day, had some showers and such.
I love grey and damp days Katy. Best days for reading I think. Sorry to hear about your injection mishap. As long as you are ok, that's all that matters.
10:29AM Ok so almost done with the laundry that I had to do, so I am gonna attempt to read a bit. Aeverie is watching Brave right now. So wish me luck. LOL
1:40 pm - Just finished lunch at work and checking Twitter. Now I'm getting caught back up on GR. Have another 20 minutes before I have to go back to work.
4:22 p.m. and I'm going to hospital. I can't stand the pain anymore! Will be back online as soon as I can.
Omg Cindy!! I wish I could be with you when you go. I hope they can help you. Saying prayers. ((((((((HUGS)))))))
4:52 p.m. EDT Just sent the rent to the landlord, so we're caught up through this month. Now to start working on October... *sigh* I'm tired and have a headache, but my cousin is dropping by in an hour or so, so can't crap out yet...
7:57pm ET. Catching up on GR updates, waiting on Doctor Sleep to get here, which won't be until Sept. 30th according to the nitwits at Amazon, and chilling after cooking for the boys.Yeah, I said cooking... it is a rare thing, but it does happen.
8:00 p.m. and I just got back from the hospital. Why do these docs always act like people are just there for pain meds. I could give a rats ass about pain meds so long as somebody can figure out what is wrong and either fix it or at least control the pain. Errr
*hugs* Cindy. I can so relate.8:55 p.m. EDT Well my cousin couldn't make it tonight. Wish I'd known that two hours ago, but it's cool. I'm hoping I can manage to sleep, I really need to.
8:38PM Had hot chicken salad sandwiches and peas for dinner. Did my work out and then took Aves to the playground yet again. LOL He loves it there. So now enjoying coffee and I will be reading more of The Stand and maybe dig some more into Shelter or And She Was. Both are very mysterious right now and I love that.
Cindy, so sorry you are going through that. Prayers and best wishes to you.
9:50 pm. I'm watching a rerun of the TV show 7th Heaven.

Wow where have I been??? Cindy I hope you are feeling better. I can't imagine living with chronic pain. 9:01PM Spending some time with the family that's awake. My son is sleeping. Working on the computer and watching some tv.
10:18 p.m. and I'm making an attempt at bed.
Cindy, I so hope you can get some sleep and some pain relief. I don't know how you can keep up with all you do when you're feeling like that! **Healing Hugs**
10:44pm EDT. Not too late but I don't feel sleepy at all and I have to get up at 4am. Having trouble finding a book that really grabs me. Guess I'll browse around on GR and then try and sleep. Night all!

12:35 a.m. EDT Had a bit of a nap. I think my body is re-working itself into my nocturnal schedule. Hopefully I'll be able to nap for awhile in the morning again... :-)
It's 7 A.M. I'm browsing discussion topics & getting ready for bed (night owl). Hopefully I will be able to finish re-reading The Shining before I drift off so I can start on Doctor Sleep tomorrow. Goodnight/morning, everybody!
7:44 a.m EDT Just up from another nap. Need to send hubby off to work in a few hours, then will probably try to nap again...
6:47AM Kay is about ready for school. I am just waiting on my coffee to brew. Aves is watching a Halloween movie. Not sure how long it will last. LOL Gonna make some breakfast soon for Aves and I.
11:28 AM. It's my husband's birthday today. We've been watching some news and he is thinking about what he wants to do today. Last night, Mark took me to get Doctor Sleep, and I am pretty excited about it. Well, I guess I'm not really any longer because someone spoiled something for me in it, right after I told them I haven't started it yet. They just don't get it. *sigh* I guess I will read while I can. Different Seasons is great, but I wish it wasn't taking me so long to get through it. :(
