What time is it and what are you doing?

Yesterday was good, my mum took the kid all day and overnight, so we went for a 4 mile hike on a piece of the Buckeye Trail, through some lovely woods, lots of big trees and big rocks, couple pretty little streams. Fun! Then we grabbed a late lunch and went to his brother's house for a bit, then out for a couple drinks, stopped at Wal-Mart and bought a couple new movies to watch. Got The Hobbit! Yay! Also got a scary one called The Apparition, and a comedy Date Night with Tina Fey. Watched that one last night when we got home, it was pretty funny. Now I'm dying to watch The Hobbit though!
Gotta go pick up kiddo in a little bit. I'm hungry, hope we are going to eat something soon!
Oh, and I love Aldi's too! Can't beat their prices. Just the other day I wanted some kiwi for little man. Wal-Mart wanted $2.39 for one kiwi! Got a pack of three at Aldi's for .99 cents. And their cereal and stuff, tastes better than the store brands from Wal-Mart or wherever, and is cheaper. Love it! :D
11:17AM Just found out from Hub that we need to go pick Aves up today, since someone hit his daddy and totaled the car. There is always something going on over there, they just need to catch a break. Cort does have his eye on another car though that he hopes to get next Monday. So that is good.
Kit we generally as a rule get most dry goods from like Walmart and then all the other stuff we need we get at Aldi's we only just got our first Aldi's in Texas last year. And then the one that we shop at in Denton just opened this year. So it has been nice. They have great prices and I love it.

Just finshed lunch and The Waste Lands. I don't usually do this but I'm going to jump right into Wizard and Glass today. I hope you get the job Kathryn!:)
8:06PM Went to go get Aves, then we went to Cici's. My spoil meal I guess. About to go do a 9 min mission to work some calories off. Then gonna read some more of The Innocent.
9:44 p.m. and I took a three hour nap around 5 o'clock, so I'm probably gonna stay up late (until midnight or so). Plan to take a shower and then read some.

12.29pm Enjoying a very lazy day today. It was an extremely hectic weekend of shopping in Melbourne so it's nice to put my feet up. I did some chores this morning now I'm relaxing on the couch with my laptop catching up on GR. I'm going to make a leek tart once I'm done here then the rest of the day will be spent reading... bliss!

Thank you, Victor and Michelle! I hope so, too! :)
10:46PM Just laid Aves down to bed. He fell asleep watching a movie. Now I can actually read a bit more. I hope everyone has a great week.

Enjoy your reading time Janie!

I know how you feel, my boy loves that DVD. I don't mind it because it is one of the only things he will sit and watch all the way through. That's a half hour to catch up on dishes or nap ;-)
9:04AM Working today early. Thankfully the city's water main is fixed and the boil order has finally been lifted. I have a ton of dishes to do. Baby bottles and all. So tired of boiling everything. Hope everyone has a good day.
9:20AM Wow Aves was up with me this AM at 6:30 and he is not in a very good mood so far. Right now he settled down a bit and is watching some TV. Pretty sure this girl won't get much reading time in. Have laundry going right now and should be done with that in a couple of hours. So right now it is just me and Aves. Good morning all.

4:30 p.m and I'm gonna finish And On The Sixth Day tonight. I have somewhere to go but should be home a little earlier tonight. I'm getting there! Didn't think I would EVER get caught up on the books I was reading. I would always start another one before finishing the last. Before I knew it, eight, nine books.
I hear ya Cindy. I too have slowed down on how many books I got going, I feel more accomplished reading less books, especially if one is for a buddy read.
I feeling much better now and not so much like it's a chore to read. I was getting really stressed out over something that should be enjoyable. I am back to happy now and just about caught up. Oh, and by the way, a friend brought in Petals on the Wind at work. She bought it for me at a UBS. Now I own it and can read it when I get ready.

Thanks! Looks like I have several pages of comments to read, so let me just post a quite update...
9:32 p.m. EDT I arrived home about 2 p.m. today after 5 days plus one hour inpatient, during which time (due to my colitis) I lost 5 pounds because I couldn't eat... *sigh* Met some really cool people, some people for whom I felt deeply sympathetic, and a charming young schizo man talking to the voices in his head... Apparently some of my "village" was secretly following me around and hiding when I would spin, and one was hanging above me telling me about the glories of pie. I know some funny, funny people... LOL My eyes have not been working properly since Thursday, apparently this is a common side effect of the lack of opiates in my system and will clear up eventually. The sooner the better. I spent a lot of time over the weekend (starting Friday evening) watching television, as there wasn't much else to do. I particularly enjoyed the USA Network, and the TV show NCIS, to which I gave the subtitle: "Kicking down the door and shooting up the bad guys". The acting is just so BAD on most of the shows on that network... it's hilarious! I also almost dislocated my eyeballs rolling them at commercials, and at the Lifetime movies that one of the ladies insisted we watch on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I did a lot of heckling, and at one point dove across the back of a couch to some guys behind me saying, "Oh my god, estrogen overdose, someone SAVE ME" startling them badly... LOL Sorry, I'm just such a GUY, you know? I noticed myself even sitting like one over the weekend... Anyway, I'm very happy to be back home with my cats and my little baby spiders everywhere, although not so happy to be reminded how badly it stinks in this little place when my husband hasn't opened any windows for the past 5 days... I hope everyone has been well. I might not respond to all messages, but I'll try to skim through them all...

Watching "10 most annoying things about 1995" and cooing with nostalgia. I was seven years old and remember most of this (not the political stuff) with fond memories of someone who didn't..."
OH MY GODDESS I'M SO OLD... I was 25 in 1995... O.O

The trouble with mental health services is the drugs that they feed you make it impossible to read a book. So I think you will be better off trying to get some sleep!"
Yes, this is very true. Either they make you so groggy and foggy that you can't focus, or they make your eyes not work properly... Plus asylums aren't nearly as much fun as movies make them seem... Although we had some fun with Hardcore Pawn on Sunday night, where a customer sat on the floor, starting screaming, then rolled himself up in their rug. It made us all laugh our asses off and say, "We may be crazy, but we ain't that crazy!"
Kathryn wrote: "11:28 AM. Enjoying some coffee and about to read. I've been reflecting and looking at the 9/11 memorial and remembrances on TV. I was 16 at the time, and it had a profound affect on me, like many I..."
Oh, Gods and Goddess I am SO OLD... I was 31 at the time... O.o You know, there were only two or three people inpatient at the same time with me who were older than me? Ai yi yi... I guess most of us get this out of our systems at a younger age?
So glad you are home Katy!! Welcome back! We missed you!

Janie, great new picture! We just had an Aldi's open up here, I'll see if hubs will go check it out. He likes to shop in the middle of the night though, so if it isn't open 24 hours, the odds are low.
Sean, I LOVE Star Trek in all its various permutations, except for Enterprise, although my husband tells me I have misjudged it... So I might break down and watch it eventually. I'm particularly fond of the originals, the movies for the originals, and DS9...

Thanks, Cindy. I'm glad to hear you are feeling better.
10:02 p.m. Well, obviously I didn't do much reading after I was checked in. I read a lot of Salvation while waiting, but they wouldn't let me have my Nook or Kindle inside so I had Dmitry grab four random books from the back of the car. Unfortunately two of those random books I'd already read and a third was somewhere in the middle of the Odd series by Dean Koontz; that left me with the 4th book, Pattern Crimes, but of course I didn't manage much reading because my eyes wouldn't focus. Anyway, I met another bookworm in there to whom I gave the two duplicate books, since her parents had only brought her a single book. I also found out my triglycerides are severely high, so I will need to be a bit more active. *sigh* I LIKE being lazy!! LOL
Right, I need to continue in my process of clearing out e-mail now...
10:19PM Had my work out, took Ave's to the playground after that, then got home and had a shower, enjoyed some coffee and now I am trying to get in some reading since Aves did not allow too much of that today.

1.06pm having the day off work because I woke up with a really sore throat and didn't feel very well. My office is freezing most of the time so I thought I'd stay home where I'm warm and try to knock this thing on the head. I need to go shopping but that will have to wait for another day. I managed to scrounge up enough ingredients to get some teriyaki chicken going in the slow cooker. I think the rest of the afternoon will be spent on the couch with my books :)

oooo Cassie, I really enjoyed Gone Girl. You'll have to keep us posted on your thoughts along the way.

1:15 a.m. EDT Damn, still have SO MUCH e-mail to go through... *pant pant pant*

I also understand how overwhelming a really full inbox can be... just take it one at a time and don't put too much pressure on yourself... you'll get there.
Hmmmm... bad cats... yep, I know all about them!
Sending you massive ((((HUGS))))!!!

8:04 a.m. EDT Despite doping myself up good at about 2 this morning, I couldn't fall asleep until Dmitry came in and rubbed my back for me. I woke up just a few hours later and I can't go back to sleep because I'm so cold. I'm still groggy, I simply cannot sleep. *sigh*
Katy, so glad to have you back!
Janie, love the new photo--you look great!
Kathryn, hoping for good news on the job front--I feel good about this opportunity for you!
Chris, glad you survived your week from hell. Miss you when you're not around!
8:13am EDT. Haven't posted in about a week so I'm trying to catch up with everyone. Just had a really long streak of the blahs but am finally feeling much better and more positive today. Hub is out of town on business all week so it's pretty lonely without him. Charlie the puppy is doing his best to cheer me up and keep me active! Not much to do around the house today so I plan a long day of reading and ordering in pizza tonight for a special treat. Have a great day all my GR friends!

7:47AM Aves up bright and early with me yet again. LOL No downtime really for me. We had breakfast and I am ready for a 9 min mission here soon. Aves is watching Brave, but that won't last much longer. He has said he wants to go play in the back yard. So glad it is fenced. I am hoping he will let me read and finish my book today. We will see.
Kathryn, any news yet on the job? I have been wondering about that.
Terri, nice to see you posting! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more positive this week. Bad weeks can be so stressful and such a strain on our bodies and minds.

Well, the HR department called me yesterday and didn't actually come out and say I didn't get the job. They basically said something slightly insulting by wondering if I'd be interested in a part-time receptionist job. WTF?! Mark is pretty pissed off they would do that, and he feels the only reason why I didn't get the job is because I'm his wife and the office I would have had is down the hall from him. He thinks they are just too lazy to figure out a spot to move that office. So....back to square one. :'(
Ugh Kathryn that is pretty lame of them. So sorry to hear about that. I can understand why Mark would not be happy if that is their reasoning. Some places are just weird about that.

5:15 p.m. and I'm getting ready to go visit my son. He had a wreck today and totaled his car. He is banged up but I think he is OK. OMG, the stress level is off the charts today. It was already a stressful day before I heard about this. Will get back online later.
4:16PM Totally got caught up in a game called Plants Vs. Zombies. That was a fun game. LOL Anyway I should have been reading. Heh. Book is coming along great will finish this evening.
Having dinner of Tuna salad and some fresh green beans which I love. Will have my work out after that and maybe the playground with Aeverie.

Michelle glad you get some time back here with us. How exciting you are gonna start the Dark Tower series. YAY! I just read it at the beginning of the year! Enjoy the journey.
Cindy, so glad you are getting some reading time! Enjoy it while you have it.
