Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments Wow great picture Kathryn and Janie. I'm so glad you guys had such a good time. It sounds like it was a blast and I really liked the Sleeping Doll. I hope you enjoy it.

Terri, Things are going well with the family. My little one will be 4 months on the 10th, and my son is just getting so big to fast. Work still is miserable but it's a paycheck. I need to keep the job till I can find something better or write my book and have it do well.

I hope your pain can be managed better and I wish your appointment wasn't so far away. Hugs your way as well as good thoughts.

11:12PM, catching up on some recorded shows and writing my blog post for tomorrow. Just some quiet time with my wife.

11:20PM Read almost 50 pages in The Stand tonight. This book is so good. Was gonna switch over to The Passage but now I am sleepy so I am gonna go crash now!

Terri, Chris, Thank you. G'night!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:16 AM. I'm bad. I have been messing around on my phone while I'm in bed, after I said I was going to read. Haha! I think I'm just too sleepy, though. Goodnight, GR..

Terri, I like Kate, too. Very talented. Sandro has issues, so I was glad he eliminated himself. Ken has an attitude problem, but I was glad he apologized to Helen tonight. I actually think he should have gone home tonight, but Karen's was pretty bad, too. I also don't care much for Alexandria. I like Tim Gunn, too. He seems like such a nice guy, and like its not fake for the show. I'm glad Charlie is a comfort for you. I totally understand what you mean by that. Gizmo is my comfort bug. Her warmth and presence really relaxes me. I will be praying for you. I hope the doctor can help you on Monday, and like Chris said, I'm sorry your appointment is still a few days away. I hope you have a great time at the library and are able to make a great haul. Give Charlie a hug for me for taking care of my friend. :)

Kathryn, I totally agree about Ken on PR! He is a supreme jerk, won't listen to anyone else, and thinks he knows everything. I loved it when he told that girl not to even look at him. Such a prima dona. I still haven't watched last night's episode, but I'm looking forward to it. *hugs* back from Charlie!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 9:57 AM. Good Friday morning, GR!!!! I've been up for a while, but I think I need some coffee to wake me up a bit more. I plan on finishing Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption in a few minutes, then hopefully getting through most of the second story in Different Seasons. I want to get some house cleaning done so I don't have to worry about it this weekend, but it can wait until later this afternoon.

10:00AM Happy Friday everyone! Got Kay off to school and then hub and I had breakfast and coffee. Been reading The Passage this morning and really enjoying it. Totally different than what I had expected and loving it. Going to be taking Son out for birthday dinner today. His birthday was Wednesday but with him working we had to find a day that he and hub are both off which is today. Although Kayla is in school that is ok, we will pick her up there when she gets out and head out for an enjoyable evening. Will be going by to get Amy and Aves as well. Not sure where Derek wants to eat yet as he has not decided still. LOL

Will be making my salads here in a few minutes, for the week. So much easier to have them made ahead of time. Just dump them in the bowl and eat. LOL Will have lunch and then a 9 minute mission work out. I hope everyone has a good day!

Chris (cbrunner11) | 674 comments 10:25AM Good morning GR friend's. I'm not going to lie I am on auto pilot today. I am even more tired than yesterday and it is a personal victory just to hold my eyes open. I will be hanging out here for most of the day seeing as I am at work, but not sure how talkative I will be. I'll try to keep up on everything if I can. Doubt I'll read since that might send me in to a deep sleep I won't be able to wake up from.

message 6359: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Chris, hope you can find something to wake you up! Being so tired at work makes the day seem to never end. I hope work goes quickly for you so you can go home and sleep.

Janie, last night Mark asked if I had seen any King hardbacks yesterday. I told him I had, and there was a hardback of Firestarter I had picked up, but thought it was too much. He said I can always buy whatever books I want. I thought to myself, "Dangit!!!! I knew I should have bought that book!!!!!" But, I told him I always like to be frugal, and usually in my case, if I wait, give it time, I can find what I'm looking for at a cheaper price later on. However, I'm kicking myself now because something inside of me told me I should buy it! Haha!

Kathryn I thought for sure you were gonna buy it because you had that look of WOW on your face. It look to be in pretty good shape, but I can totally understand not wanting to spend the money on it. It also makes me happy to not have that desire to own the hardbacks. LOL

11:37AM Made my salads and just had one for lunch along with a pear. Cleaned up after myself in the kitchen. Soon will do a short work out, then get a shower. I think I am gonna stop on The Passage for the rest of the day till we get back this evening. I have been reading an ebook which is short stories, it is called Dust and Shadow. The first story is by Joe McKinney and is pretty good so far.

Chris, Yeah busy weeks call for days gone quickly by, and the closer we get to December when I get to visit my Indiana Family for Christmas! But first my favorite season, Fall, and my other favorite holiday! Halloween!

Yea the busier you are the faster time goes.

Halloween is my favorite holiday also. I love it. Can't wait to start decorating. We cant do much since funds are tight but one day I hope to have the scariest house on the block. Winter is my favorite season. I love the bitter cold.

LOL Chris I hate the bitter cold that is why I love Texas, none of the below zero stuff here. LOL I hear ya on the 'tight funds' but we don't really decorate all that much now that we have Aves, we take him out trick or treating instead. This year he tells me "Meems I wanna be a scary clown." The kid is 3. LOL He is so wrapped up with Zombies, witches and monsters right now. He loves scary stuff and I guess if he loves it that's ok.

My son is the same way. He was 2 last Halloween and he said he wanted to be a scary pumpkin. My wife made the costume. and I designed the face. Even with a scary jack o lantern face he was more cute than scary. This year he wants to be Robin. He wants me to be Batman but I don't think I want to walk around in costume with him trick or treating.

message 6368: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 12:24 PM. I just finished reading the first short story in Different Seasons, which is Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. Really good story. I think I'm going to take a pause for a bit and do a few things around the house. This way, I can read later and not feel guilty, and I won't have to have that feeling of knowing I need to clean later on. I'm still debating on whether or not I want to ask my friend if she wants to hike the trail tonight, or run at home. I kind of want to do the trail tonight, but it's Friday, and I love Friday nights with my husband. We'll see how I feel later on, I guess. Missing my boy today for some reason...He'll be home soon though, and then I'll want him to go do woodwork out in the garage so I can read. haha!

Hope everyone is having a great day! :)

4:09 p.m. EDT Umm, hmmm... Dmitry left something like 40 minutes ago to buy me a smoothie before he went to work and he's not back yet. The place is only 5 minutes away, and yesterday when I went in it was completely dead, no wait, and took me about 3 minutes to receive my smoothie, so I'm a bit concerned. Maybe he managed to forget what he was doing and just went to work? I hope nothing happened. This is why I need my own cell phone; I can't even call to find out if something happened. *worried*

He noted I could buy a dinner for the price, and I pointed out that this WAS my dinner... Solid food and I are still not consistently agreeing with one another. On the plus side, I did lose 12 lbs in the past 6 weeks or so... O.o

Holly - Hope your spirits get lifted soon. Been there done that, and sometimes there's just nothing anybody can say or do. Have you in my thoughts anyway.

Katy - Wonder why you are having trouble with the solid food? Been ill? Sorry I only went back a little ways on the posts. Hope you feel better soon.

Heather - Have fun!

Janie and Kathryn - So glad you guys had a blast. One of these days I still plan to make it down there and we can all go out.

I am getting ready to leave for a couple of hours. Plan to get some reading in tonight because I don't have to be at work until 12:30 p.m. tomorrow. Six days a week is getting a little old but I need the money. Talk to you good folks later.

Katy (katyas-69) | 1731 comments Cindy, having trouble with my colitis. Solid food often leads to lots of pain. It comes and goes.

6:59 p.m. EDT Hauled some books out of the car last week so we could fit the wheelchair into the trunk, so been bringing them in from the box on the porch a few at a time to add to my database and update where applicable those already on my shelves. The trunk is still full of books, though... O.o

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 345 comments Lol, when I was working in my family's old restaurant a few years back, and my lil brother was playing football in high school, a customer asked me what position he played, and I couldn't remember, and said center back or something, because I vaguely remembered my brother had said center something or something back... lol. So customer busts out laughing like, OMG you're a ditz. I was embarrassed, specially since his sons were laughing too, I was like... sue me! I dunno nothing about football! >.< But it was kinda funny.
It's 11:44 p.m and I'm doing some catching up on GR, babe had all week off so I didn't have much time to get online, or read. Not complaining though, love it when he's home and we can go do stuff with the kiddo. Tonight I went to Goodwill with my mad money and scored some goodies that I'm gonna post over in the new books thread. I'm happy about that. Stinky dog is laying near me, but he went for the car ride, so he's happy too. Needs a bath though. I let the cat in, he's over in the corner under the box lid propped against the wall. Thinks it's his own private lean-to or something I guess.
Glad to see everyone's mostly good on a Friday night :D
