8:46 AM Having hell finding a book I like. This is getting plumb freaking ridiculous. I'm about to start abandoning books with mad glee. Life's just too short. Sigh.
11:40AM Having a quiet morning. We don't have Aves till tomorrow, will be a short week with him, And that is ok if it saves on gas for the kids. Did not have a run this morning, had stuff to get done around here since we must take Kay to school today for schedule changes, plus have Laundry today. I just do a 9 minute Mission workout, which are cool. Will explain at a later time. Anyway I want to sit down after the school thing and finish Dark Mountain. It is so good.
2 p.m. EDT Had a nice long sleep, so feeling a bit better. Ready to dive into this editing thing once I'm done clearing out the e-mail that piled up!
22.21Just watched DJANGO UNCHAINED what a GREAT movie.
Also watched PRIME SUSPECT starring Helen Mirren and written by Lynda LaPlante which was the first ever Police Procedural drama.
4:33 PM. After I got up this morning and ate a bowl of cereal, I went back to bed. I haven't slept much at night, so I needed some extra rest. I've ironed Mark's clothes, did the dishes, and I am going to workout soon and go to the grocery store. Mondays are typically Mark's late days at work, so I haven't figured out what to make for dinner. I haven't read in a few days, so hopefully tonight I'll get back into A Game of Thrones.
Sean, my husband raved about the movie, I need to watch it someday.9:20 p.m. EDT Just taking a short break from editing to clear out some e-mail. Back to it soon.
Katy I'm the same, I seem to miss some too and then when I read through later I notice that some of my posts seem completely random... I think that may be why lol! Seeing your comments about Dexter really makes me want to read them! I have them on my Kindle and I really want to read them before I watch the series. Might have to move them up the TBR list :)Kathryn, sorry to hear that you're not sleeping well. I hope you managed to catch up a bit today. You are so amazing the way you keep doing your workouts even when your tired - I find that's when I really start to get slack :/
Sean, I LOVED Django Unchained - so glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
2.26pm The day is flying by! I've had meetings all morning and more this arvo so just trying to squeeze in a quick lunch break. My boss has given me the okay to get a new office printer so I'm a bit excited about that... hmmm it's a bit of a worry when that's all it takes to get excited... I might need to take up some new hobbies lol!
1:24AM A long day it seems and now I am ready for bed. Aves came tonight instead of in the morning but he is sleeping so I will get him tucked away as well. Finished Dark Mountain, it was a fabulous book. I hated for it to end. I read a few pages in Game of Thrones, will read more tomorrow. Night GR!
3:51 a.m. EDT Dmitry wants to Waffle House and it is time I stopped anyway, so I guess I'll be going to sleep once we're back. Good progress on my editing project, even though I had to take 6 hours and fix the lines. He'd done it like a typewriter, hit enter at the end of each line and space 5 times instead of auto-wrapping the lines and using tab! So I had to fix all that before I could begin, but on the plus side that let me skim the story and notice things I might have missed otherwise, so it's all good.

7:21am 2nd day of vacation (stay cation). Hit the beach with my Nook yesterday. Today I'm bringing my daughter for a college tour of URI. 17 years flew right by me!
8:30 AM. Have been up for an hour or longer. I've already had a cup of coffee. I need to go to the grocery store later, but for now, I think I'm going to try to read a bit.
6:55 a.m. - I am off today because tomorrow I am taking our son to the University of Arizona. I feel so sad I can't even put it into words- Our first son is leaving home, leaving the nest -- Aaagghh! I am sure so many of you out here have gone through this. How do you cope? My husband & I are devastated! We're keeping a happy front, but dying inside. The tears are going to be flowing.
4:22 p.m. and I have a lot to do today. Tired of working all the overtime. Been working six days a week now for the last eight weeks save one. Gonna try to read some tonight when I get home but it's gonna be late. Will just have to see. On a good note - I ought to be good and tired by the time I go to bed. Should sleep good tonight. Hope everyone is having a great day!
6:26PM Well Aves is sick today, poor guy. We did get his fever broke though, so that is good. We had Spaghetti and green beans for dinner, did my work out and got my shower. Now I am enjoying some coffee and have been reading A Game of Thrones, Got 2 and half more chapters read. Later gonna catch up on some more of The Stand and then gonna break into The Hunger Games I think. Gonna be a long night for me since Aves is sleeping now and not feeling well.

Martha I did not cope or handle it well at all for when my Daughter went to college. She was about 7 hours away :( I used to just go sit in her room and cry. Steadily it got better and also prepared us both for when she would venture out and make a life of her own. I know this was not much help for you, but you will get through it, just think about what this will do for your son.

Sorry to hear that, Cindy. My husband always works six days a week, but generally only about 7 or 8 hours a day; still, I'd go nuts if I had to work that much. 7:44 p.m. EDT Done editing and not a moment too soon, as I'm exhausted. I guess it was too much too soon after that cold I had, but at least I don't have any manuscripts for the next two weeks. Of course, next week is DragonCon, which will push me pretty hard. Still, it'll be a fun push, so yay. I think I'll take a nap and then finish my Dexter book...
6:45 PM. Mark surprised me by coming home early, and I went to the bank and the grocery store. Now I'm cooking chicken stir-fry with broccoli and squash. Yum! Hoping we go get an ice cream cone later like he promised!! Lol, and tonight hopefully I can read.
Chicken stir-fry sounds good Kathryn.
8:06 p.m. EDT My cats are fussy. I think they're annoyed by the humidity, which is making their kibbles kind of sticky, and the lack of gooshy. But they've not been good kitties, so no gooshy for them. I'll make the rounds in a few minutes and then it's naptime for me...
8:59pm ET. Just posted a bunch of free Kindle books on my "Blog It"...and even put a Ted Dekker in there.. who knew Amazon had so much free stuff. :D
12:31 a.m. EDT Napped for a couple hours but still feel all fuzzy in my head. Will read for awhile longer, but I think it'll be an early night for me...And Alondra, oh, yes, I've downloaded thousands of free book off Amazon! I love it!
11:54PM Gonna be a long night for me. Aves is not feeling well and he slept almost 4 hours. Now his fever is broke and he is able to eat, sooooo I will be in it for the long haul. Snatched one of the freebie Zombie books that Alondra posted and started reading that. It is pretty darn good. Also read some of GOT and The Stand. So doing well with those. Gonna try and read now and keep my eyes open.
Alondra I have like 60 books for my Kindle app for PC and I have paid for about 2 of them LOL

13:08 AM First day of eighth grade tomorrow so why nit stay up until midnight reading ASoIaF? ??? I should go to sleep now.....
Hey, Smashwords.com has a lot of free ebooks, too. Unfortunately their search function is weird, so you have to comb through them, but I do like to support Smashwords, especially after some of the coverage I've seen lately about how Amazon (mis)treats its employees.1:13 a.m. EDT About to log off to read!
Hope your first day of eighth grade is fantastic Victor :)4.08pm Just realised I have to work late tonight but it is to do a wine tasting so I can't complain too much. Should be pretty interesting and my husband is coming along so hopefully won't feel too much like work. Was looking forward to going home and watching a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad... hopefully I'll be able to squeeze at least one in before bedtime... I'm SOOO addicted!
Ah, yes, Victor, hope you had a great first day!2:41 p.m. EDT Ended up trying to go to bed about 3 this morning but the cats kept me up for a couple more hours before I shut the door and fell asleep. Had to send Dmitry off to work at 11 but he was hard to poke out of bed and I fell asleep again, too; I think he was out of here by 11:30 or thereabouts, and then I was out again for a few more hours. At least I feel a bit better now! Heh.
9:09PM EST. Just finished watching the democratic mayoral debate for NYC. Now I'm ready to cuddle up with my Nook and get some reading done.
8:13 PM. I had a great workout this afternoon, talked to my dad about Grandma, made spaghetti for dinner, cleaned up the kitchen, and since Mark is watching Breaking Bad, I think I'm going to read AGOT.
9:13 PM EST. Just got to chapter 10 in Nights in Rodanthe and texting my friends while laying in bed yawning about to get ready for bed since I have school in the morning
8:15 watching little league World Series! I start grad school tomorrow night! Little nervous. Had orientation yesterday and have all kinds of emotion! Nervous, excited, scared, overwhelmed and even "why am I going this again?" But I'm ready!
Thanks Michelle and Katy!:) It's 9:25 PM and *sobs* I finished A Feast for Crows *blows nose* and I can't wait until 2015 to read *sobs* from the POV's that won't *sobs* be in A dance with Dragons! *cries more* I don't want to wait!!!!!
*relaxes*
I had a great first day by the way!
hahahaha Victor! 2015?! Awww I feel your pain, that does seem like a long wait!So glad you enjoyed your first day :)
Just came back from seeing The Conjuring and it wasn't as creepy as I thought it would be..maybe because I read the book. The movie was off and was missing much more.
10:56PM well had a decent day today. Started off with my vlog to my Indy family, then had breakfast with Aves since he is feeling much better. Then did a 9 minute mission workout. Had some pool time and lunch after that. Ave's had a blast. Had grilled tuna salad sandwiches and wild rice for dinner. Had a pretty intense workout after that. Again more pool time...lol then enjoyed some coffee and been trying to read, but not much luck with that. Will catch up this weekend I guess. Gonna read a bit more of The Stand now. Hope y'all had a good day!
Victor sorry you have to wait so long for the next book. It will prolly take me to 2015 to just get through the ones I have. :/

So glad Avery is feeling better Janie :)I'm with you about taking until 2015 to get through GRRM's books lol
2:50 a.m. EDT Just popping in to clear out e-mail. I was tempted to ignore it all until later, like after I'd slept, but realized it'd probably be out of hand by then, so here I am... Once I'm done it'll be back to Dexter!
It is 8:24 a.m. I am off to write curriculum. Call back is next week and then the kiddos come after Labor Day. Back to class! I am looking forward to it. I will miss my time to read whenever I want though.
8:54AM Been away from the group for a few days so I am really behind on what everyone is up to. Working this morning and dead tired. Kids kept me up late last night. Jordan, I hope you are feeling better by now. Healing thoughts your way.
Ella, I have really been wanting to see the conjuring, I had no idea it was a book too. I will have to check it out, but after I see the movie I think.
Have a good day everyone.
Chris.. Yes the book is called House of Darkness House of Light. The second book is out already same title just Volume 2. I bought the book merely because the town of Burrillville is not from my town and the author was in town for a signing. Never knew it was going to be a movie. I think I was waiting for certain parts from the book in the movie. Maybe just too much to add into a 2 hour flick. I know many who thought the movie was very good though.hope you enjoy it!
