9:51 AM. I have been up for an hour or so, but Mark is still asleep. We had a great Independence Day yesterday! The Rangers, (our state's home team), won in baseball, my dad had a great time with us, we watched the beautiful fireworks after the game, and even got home safely around midnight. It was a great day! Today, more paint is going on the kayaks, and I don't know what else we're going to do, but since Mark is home, it should be a good day! Hoe everyone had a great holiday!

Once I got into it, all I can think about is getting more time to read. I'm really enjoying it. Guess I will just have to settle with reading my other book on my phone while at work.

Thanks! The girls who did it for my cousin's wedding last Saturday did a super job, but it was very subtle and not at all like I normally do it. You can't really see the details, but I always double-line my upper lids. Today I did black and then white. Gives it a bit of POP. I love using silver or gold or bronze, too; so much fun! hah! I'm also going to dribble some glitter in my hair once I take it down. Should be fun!

Makeup looks great, Katy! You share a birthday with my puppy Charlie! (I know how honored you must feel.) He's 1 year old today. We got him a bag of toys from the pet store and he's slowly destroying them. But he has such fun doing it and it's crazy to watch him! He had a bully stick as a special birthday treat. I can't believe how much he's grown in a year. Of course, he still thinks he's a lap dog. LOL But we love him so...

8:40 p.m. EDT Just returned from an evening of frivolity paid for by my dad and stepmom, who sent us $100. We went to dinner at Red Lobster, and then went down to the pub to have a couple beers... or I did, anyway. Dmitry only had one cider. I had two beers on top of a Lobsterita, so I was straying dangerously close to the line with my meds, but if your birthday isn't the day to cut loose, I don't know what day it! Heh. Salmon for dinner, yummy!

11:57 a.m. EDT Was sleeping but the mailman woke me up; my mother-in-law's birthday package arrived! Whoo-hoo, chocolate! LOL And also perfumed called "Delicious" Chocolat by Gale Hayman. It has a precious little cat on the lid, so cute! Some very neat jewelry, too, lots of good stuff. Have I ever mentioned I adore my mother-in-law? She's so awesome... So, clearing out e-mail. Going to set up a few blog posts - book features, a giveaway - and schedule them to go up over the next few days, give my followers something to see. Then reading.

7:58AM I have been up since 5:00, did not go to sleep till 2:00AM, but I just could not go back to sleep. My sister and nieces left this AM to go back to Indy, my heart hurts so much right now. But what a glorious week we all had together. A nice break from reading and time well spent with my family whom I adore more than anything else in this life. God certainly blessed me with my family.

I will try to get back to reading once my head clears. I do have Aeverie now till Wednesday, so we will see how much he lets me read. I feel so far behind.
