What time is it and what are you doing?
The Farmer's Market we are going to is open Tues, Thurs, & Sat. Looking forward to it, it is in Denton so it is real close.
Oh, Rachel, I've had animals all my life; I've lost hundreds of pets. We always had a couple dozen cats and at least two or three dogs when I was growing up, not to mention horses and cows and chickens and sometimes ducks or something, and then when I was out on my own I've almost always kept a number of pets at any given time. When I did rat rescue I'd sometimes have over 100 rats in the house. Some were more special than others, but I loved them all. Now I just have (just? ahahahaha!) three cats and a dog.1:42 a.m. EST Well, lost most of Monday to a headache and most of Wednesday to a stomach ache. Let's see what else this week can throw at me... :-/
3:33am EST. Can't sleep, checking GR and then will read and have coffee.
Bummer about your ac Janie. Good luck with it. And thanks for the yoga suggestion--I'm looking for some beginner's DVDs to try.
Chris, hope your grill-out was amazing. Glad to see you posting.
Kathryn, you're such a creative cook!
Katy, hope you're feeling better after the calamari episode. Normally that's one of my favorite things to eat, both at home and in restaurants.
Cindy, don't let that overtime do you in! Take care.
Hub has a work thing tonight so he won't be home till 8 or so. I have a long day ahead of me (especially starting out so early). Oh well, I'll have a lot of time to read. Off to make coffee. Today is my younger son's 30th birthday---where does the time go??? Have a great day everyone!

10.22Just watched IMMORTALS not too sure what it was all about but looked really great.
Gutted about the sad demise of James Godolfini, a truly great actor!!!!!!
8:30pm - Trying to get my 2 year old to settle down because he hasn't even had his usual day sleep today and it's been a VERY LONG day! I'm praying he goes down soon so I can have some quiet time :-)
Terri, I LOVE calimari but hubby doesn't like going to the restaurants where one can find it around here. It wasn't bad, my stomach just didn't know what to do with food after so long... LOL I ate a bit more, to similar results, and am letting it settle before I eat the last few pieces...7:13 a.m. EST Just finished the 2nd pass on Dabel's book, waiting to hear back from him with some clarifications before I send it off to the formatter. Whew, what a long, strange road THIS has been. Next week I work on a book for the infamous Stephen Nedelton, so wish me luck... so far I've managed to walk the road without upsetting him. He's a strange duck and no lie, but I think it's a cultural misunderstanding that led to him being banned from GR...
8:35 AM Plans for the Farmer's Market today! YAY! Makes me happy. Everyone is up and right now I am enjoying my coffee. Will go get some breakfast first. I am sure we will find some good deals. Also wanna find some good honey. addicted to it now lol. Good Morning GR!
8:55AM At work and dreading the day. So tired, and I just want a nap. Got an energy drink in hand and some metal on my playlist to try to help wake me up. Teri, I am so sorry you were up so early. I was up then, but it was for a feeding and then I went back to sleep. Hope you can at least work in a rejuvenating nap. Oh, and the Brats, and Burgers were amazing. I always make plenty for left overs so I am looking forward to lunch today.
Janie, have fun at the farmers market, I've never been to one. I'm more a big grocery chain kind of guy.
Katy, I hope you have a better day today free of headaches and stomach issues. Sending happy thoughts your way.
It is 9:14 a.m. Just gave my dog a bath. Now, he's running around like a crazy man. Cleaning this up then ...hopefully a book.
11:04 p.m. Finally caught up on all my reading. Almost time for lunch; then, off to the library. :-)
3:56 PM just under an hour left of work today and I can't wait to get home. I'm over on hours so I get to leave early today and tomorrow. Got to read a quick little short story on my Kindle app today but otherwise nothing else. I'm really hoping to get some time to read The Kill Room. I have been to tired to read when I get home and it is killing me I am not farther.
7:35 sitting outside watching the sun slowly setting down behind the trees...just decided to grab the leash and walk my pup (Lovebug) and walk off some of her energy.
Enjoy your short days Chris! Hope you can get stuck into your book soon, it's so frustrating when you don't get the chance hey?!Hope you can get into BH soon Kathryn. I remember finding that a bit hard to get into after how amazing The Talisman was.
9.47am cruisey day at work today, we're heading to the Barossa Valley, a wine region 2-3 hrs away from the wine region I work in. Going to taste some of the wines we're making from this vintage and have a nice lunch. Not bad for a Friday! It's days like this I love my job! :D
8:39 PM. Folded laundry, got a great workout, cooked dinner, and watched Hell's Kitchen. I kind of want something sweet, like ice cream, but I should stick to my fruit. Might make some coffee and read Black House.
Thanks, Chris; actually slept most of today, woke up just in time to catch the tail end of the fireflies' waking up. Feel really drained and sleepy.9:51 p.m. EDT (Keep forgetting it's Daylight Savings, not standard time) Anyway, crawled out of bed around 9 p.m. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday, exactly 2 weeks before mine. He's 11 years older than me, which means he'll be 54 this year ... O.O Good grief, where HAS the time gone.... Then again, my niece is 21, so there you go... Just clearing out e-mail and then I'll read for awhile.
10:17 I really need to start getting some kind of exercise! Felt so much better when I weighed about 30 lbs less :( - Gonna read for a bit and go to bed.
11:11 p.m. EDT just working through all the e-mail that came in today, but the end is near... O.o Apparently the full moon this Sunday should be particularly spectacular, so be sure to see it!
10:24PM Ok so we had a full day. So here we go LOL
First we took Aeverie to Burger King for breakfast. Then we went to the Farmer's Market, which was pretty much a flop sorry to say, won't do that one again. They had mostly just squash and tomatoes. I was like "Um where is the market?" LOL
I also checked out Good will they barely had any books for me BUT I found 8 books for Aeverie for $4. He was a happy camper. He got some great books.
I did get to go to our UBS and got 7 books for $11. I got some great deals! Will post them in the 'what did you buy lately'.
Chris nice to got to get off of work early, how nice is that. I am sure you could not wait to get home.
Kathryn sorry you can't get into the book very easy. I have not started yet due to being out all day long. I will get started later this evening.
Michelle awesome you got to taste some wine. I love wine! I have not had any for awhile though. One of these days I will get some more.
Cindy try some Yoga. It can make you loosen up a lot, plus relaxes you at the same time, and you can also get the exercise you need and maybe lose some weight. A lot of people turn their noses up at yoga because they think it is not exercise. Where it is actually needed in any work out program. It is so important for your joints and muscles. Give it a shot and you feel a huge difference in your body once you get into it. I totally love it.

Awesome Janie! You are not the first to tell me this. Maybe I should check it out. Thanks!
Cindy P90X YOGA is great. It is one of my favorites, if you can't get it let me know and I can send you a copy of it.

Rachel I am still watching it but didn't get to see tonight's episode. I'll try to get to it this weekend. It has been an amazing ride. Can't wait to watch it but I've got a date night with my wife planned for tomorrow. Catching up will have to wait. From what you've said I'm really excited to watch it now. Thanks.

have fun on date night!
2:50 a.m. EDT Karen Hooper has done it again - TWO romances I ACTUALLY LOVED! I can't recommend her enough to people who like great books :-) Now I have some Jeff Gunhus books to read... wOOt!
6:15 am. Drinking a coffee and getting ready to leave for work. TGIF! Ha ha, this is the first time in my adult life I've been able to say that and mean it, since I've always been either a server or bartender and I've always had to work weekends :)
6:25 dragging this morning..stayed up late to finish my read. Think it's going to be a Starbucks morning with an extra espresso shot! Courtney...congrats to TGIF! It's a great thing!
7:47 a.m. EDT Oh, BTW, to others of the Pagan persuasion, joyous Solstice! I just finished the 2nd Jack Templar book by Jeff Gunhus and it was OMG amazing! If you haven't read these books yet, you are seriously missing out. I am just blown away. Off to read his adult horror novel now!
9:48 AM. Going to make some coffee and try to focus on Black House. Happy Friday, GR! Courtney-Woohoo!!! Hope you have a great day since it's your first real Friday! :)

4:35pm haven't been on here in ages! been in a slump for a while now, feeling quite negative and contemplating not continuing with my college course as I don't think I'll be good enough. Going to read to take my mind off it
11:11AM Not sure what to think of Black House as of this moment. Hard for me to get into it. Jack has not made the scene as of yet, but then again I just only hit pg. 30.
Awwww Jordan, please don't feel as though you aren't good enough because all we can ever do is our best, and if you are doing that then that is all that can be asked of you. Maybe just take a small break from the course and go back to it at a later date?

Jordan I can understand your feelings. I had those thoughts both with my undergrad and MBA but I kept with it and I am so glad I did. You have to do what is best for you, but the little we have conversed I am confident you will do just fine. Good luck with what ever you decided and I as well as many others are here if you need to vent.
11:21AM and this day is dragging. Working till 4:45 and the time has seemed to be ticking backwards. Can't wait to get out of here and take my Wife out to the movies for Date night. Been a long time since we went out just us.
11:32 AM. Janie, I just hit chapter two, and I'm right there with you. The way it's written is making it hard for me to get into. But also, where is Jack!!!!????? Lol
IKR Kathryn, I figured he would make an appearance by now! Oh well, I am trying to be patient here LOL
Chris sorry your day is dragging but what a great incentive to get through the day! Date nights are so much fun! I feel the need for another one myself. Maybe soon that will happen. Hope the rest of your day goes smoothly!
Kathryn wrote: "12:59 PM. Not sure if any of you are Vince Flynn readers, but he passed away from prostate cancer this morning at the age of 47."Yeah, I saw that. I just got into him a few months ago, too. I dig his Mitch Rapp series. What a shame.
5:33pm ET. Chilling out after work. I love Fridays. Getting ready to go see World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War at the movies. I have read reviews (critics) of the movie and so far, so good. The book was awesome; so as long as i get entertained, then i am satisfied. :D
4:59PM Just finished dinner, had chicken wraps and got to try a new Lemon pepper marinade sauce, it was yummy! Will be working out in about a half hour, then will be going on a bike ride with my kiddos. Should be a nice relaxing evening.
6:10 just got to my girlfriends house with our other ladies for a fire, cocktails and snacks. Friday night girl time!

know 3 things- you are good enough & your gr friends are here if you need us
& it will get better.
Hang in there, Jordan. Just do your best, and enjoy the chance to learn new things. And reading is always the best way to cope with things, IMO!11:53 p.m. EDT Crashed out around 9 this morning and crawled back out at 10 tonight. Well, I was up and down a few times during the day, but not for very long. I've just been so TIRED lately, makes it hard to do anything. Still, want to go back to reading this new Jeff Gunhus horror book, 'cause it's super creepy so far! First, to clear out all this durn e-mail that came in today... LOL

I hope you both enjoy it when you get to it. :) If by chance, you come across the movie, and don't mind watching the movie first, Alfred Hitchcock won an award for best picture in 1940 for his adaption. It is brilliant. There are some changes in the movie from the book, of course, but it is almost as good as the novel. I even own the movie. :)
