I don't sell many books at all, but if I dont like them I take them to my local UBS. I need the shelf space right now too until I can buy more shelves.

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 345 comments Scored at Goodwill on Friday. Got Magyk (Septimus Heap, #1) by Angie Sage , The Alchemyst (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #1) by Michael Scott and The Magician (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #2) by Michael Scott , Sacred A Novel by Dennis Lehane , The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo , and a paperback of Desperation by Stephen King and my most awesome find, a hardback of Different Seasons by Stephen King , which I've been searching for for a decade at least. Now I just need a hardback of Night Shift to complete my h.b shelf. I also picked up some books for the kid, The Spider and the Fly by Mary Howitt , The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry , Black Cauldron by Walt Disney Company , and a Blue's Clues one. A good day :)

I loved The bodies left behind. It was a great one shot and I couldn't put it down. I hope you enjoy that one.

I just pre-ordered Dr Sleep from amazon. I am one who has to have the Hard Cover of King's books so I order early so I can possibly get a first edition.

Cheryl, many people love that book. Infact, at the 2012 Bram Stoker awards it won the award for best vampire novel of the 20th century. I however, did not like it. But go a head and read it at your leisure. LOL.

message 447: by Shell (new)

Shell (shellcampbell) | 757 comments Yesterday I purchased a brand new copy of Jessica from the local hospital op shop for $2! I read this book about 15 years ago - I picked it up one afternoon and couldn't put it down - I read all night until I finished it and struggled to stay awake at school the following day. This is a story that has stuck with me over the years, it affected me so much that I've had trouble bringing myself to re-read it. I'd actually been thinking about it and then found it in the op shop so decided it must be fate! Definitely in my top three favourite novels of all time, I'm both dreading and looking forward to reading it again!

Well you've certainly convinced me, Michelle. It sounds incredibly powerful and provocative. Plus if it's resonated this long, and had THAT much of an impact on you, I just have to read it! It's now on my "to-read" list. Thank you!!
