I bought a printed copy of In a Place of Darkness by Stuart MacBride
He's one of the authors I still want to have all books from in print.
Jannelies, that sounds like it would be a good series! I might have to check that one out. Have you read any Chris Carter? He is amazing!
Centipede Press' signed and slipcased Ghost Story by Peter Straub. My favorite horror novel.

My growing "Ghost Story" family: Easton Press GS; 1st US ed. GS; Centipede Press GS; and Hill House signed GS.

Oh, very nice Squire!

I bought Standing in the Shadows by Peter Robinson
because it is the last Banks novel.
I also bought The Edge by David Baldacci
because Baldacci is one of my favourite authors and I liked The 6.20 Man a lot

Jannelies, I also enjoy David Baldacci. I actually bought a few of his books earlier in the year that I need to read.

I bougth and finished In a Place of Darkness by Stuart MacBride
Here is my 5 star review:

Complete SFF writings of WIlliam Tenn. I read his novel Of Men and Monsters years ago and have wanted to read more of his SFF works.
I found two books today from favorite authors!Blood Ties by Jo Nesbo
Publication date: 10 October 2024. I've bought the paperback version. This is the sequel to The Kingdom which I enjoyed a lot.

You Killed Me First by John Marrs
Publication date: 25 March 2025. A long wait but worth it!
Jannelies I have some books by Nesbo, but i think they are a part of a series, so I have not read them yet.

I've been too busy to read and write a lot. Yes, Nesbo wrote a series about Harry Hole, but you could also check out some of his standalone titles. However, The Kingdom and Blood Ties are everything but the 'standard' crime books. They are really something else and very, very interesting.

I'm a sucker for Bentley Little books. Especially new HCs."
Wow, a new Bentley Little! I think I'm due a trip to the book store!
What a disappointment! I see the latest Bentley Little books are not available in trade paperback or even paperback. Little is one of the very few authors I want to own all books of in print. I gave in and bought the Kindle version of DMV but I'm not happy.
Also, I've read reviews of Gloria and Behind and I don't think they are it for me.
I did buy The Big Dark Sky by Dean Koontz
because I'm a huge Koontz fan but again, no printed version (except HC) in sight... I also bought This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor by Adam Kay
For my birthday I received a nice stack of book vouchers so I'm working on a list what to buy with them. First on the list is We Solve Murders by Osman.
Cemetery Dance publications is the main outlet for Bentley Little books, which means they are limited print runs. Behind was $25.They do have quite a few Little paperbacks that run about $20 apiece.
and
Around the second grade, Christmas presents from my grandmother had become simply a large package of books (usually 100-150) that she had picked up at garage sales, rummage sales, used bookstores, etc.
The Companion Library was my first exposure to a lot of classics and these two books were my first exposure to Greek mythology. Like most of the books of my younger years, they went the way off all things, but I found them online and have added them again to my library .
I ordered them because I read a little bit of Mythos: The Greek Myths Retold and was horrified by the lack of respect Fry showed for the myths. Every generation has the right to retell these tales, but that doesn't mean they should.
EDIT: These books are smaller than I remember. They were HUGE in my 7-year-old hands but are pretty tiny in my now grown-up mitts.
I recently purchased some new books. I got the Fourth Wing series, book 1 and 2. I have heard good things about it, so I guess we will see what I think of them.

Squire that would just be an amazing gift! I know I would have loved that!

I was gifted some vouchers for my birthday, so I bought three books that I needed to make my collection of John Connolly books complete! Connolly is one of the very few authors I want all books in print from.
I bought:
Every Dead Thing

The Wrath of Angels
