Mom took me to Goodwill today and I bought some more books and a few board games with my Birthday Money!

Janelle wrote: "EXACTLY! HE'S AN INSTA-BUY!"That's right! Have you read Under the Dome Janelle, that's what I'm reading currently, and I love it!!
I haven't read that yet Corey, but I do have that novel. Are you loving it? I bought it maybe a few years ago when I got Desperation and The Regulators. All huge books!

Lok at you two having a full on conversation. Hehe. Under the Dome is huge Janelle, but it was a very quick read for me. He flows very well.
Corey have you read Doctor Sleep? Or will this be a first time read for you?

No this will be my first time reading it Janie. And I too am flying right through Under the Dome, HAHA!
Janie, do we have a folder just for King? I'm sure that conversation alone can go on for days and days...Lol
Janelle wrote: "Janie, do we have a folder just for King? I'm sure that conversation alone can go on for days and days...Lol"Or maybe weeks Janelle, or longer, HAHA!
Had a rough couple of days, and buying books always cheers me up, so I made a trip to the bookstore again, bought
, and
!
Janie wrote: "Hope things get better for you Corey!! Pet Semetary is such a great book!"Thanks Janelle and Janie, books always make me happy, and today has been a much better day! I know, I can't wait to start it, I'm almost done with 11.22.63!
Merry Christmas everybody, just got done opening up my presents, and of course I got what else but BOOKS, HAHA! Here's what I got
Have this coming in from Amazon tomorrow, but I'm making a trip to the used bookstore Saturday. I'm hoping to bring home a nice haul. :D
Ordered House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. It has a solid 4.1 rating, and I've heard really good things about it. I'm so excited to get my hands on this one. 🙃
Hope you enjoy it Rachel. I never understood what the hype was all about. Sadly, I found it monotonous. It read like a textbook to me. Let me know what you think of it when you finish.
Janie wrote: "Enjoy your books guys. Corey I hear that The Tatooist of Auschwitz is really good."Thanks Janie, yes my Stepmom said it was excellent, she's a schoolteacher so she's a big reader.
Janie wrote: "Loved Bird Box Rachel, that is a cool cover!"Right? I borrowed it from the library first because I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it was really good. Wish I had read it back when I first added it to my TBR before the Netflix hype tho', ha ha. :)
(Btw, just finished Haunted and liked it quite a bit. The format is interesting with it being a collection of short stories unified by an overarching story. It was way gross and uncomfortable to read though. In a lot of ways. But that's about what I expected from Chuck Palahniuk so I enjoyed it. 😂)
You know Rachel, I still have not read a book by Palahniuk. Which would you recommend to start with?
Janie wrote: "You know Rachel, I still have not read a book by Palahniuk. Which would you recommend to start with?"Haunted was the first book of his I've read, so I really couldn't say. I enjoyed it though so I'd recommend it if body horror and uncomfortable content doesn't bother you. :)
Janie wrote: "Doesn't bother me at all. I love horror."Then I'd say Haunted is worth the read. :)
I still haven't decided it I'm going to read more of Palahniuk's work. I've looked through some of his other stuff, but nothing is jumping out at my like Haunted did.
Also, found some books from my high priority TBR today! I've been looking for these forever, and this is the first time I've even seen copies of them somehow.
Alrighty then I will consider that one. I think I have both of those books you mentioned too. I for sure have Ghost story, but I have not read it yet.
