What books have you bought lately?
Hehe yea, and I was looking for book 2 in the Lord John Grey series. What do you think of Lord John Grey?
I like Lord John Grey for some reason. I am interested in knowing more about him too and that is what that series will do I hope. I know Jamie is in the third one so we will see.
I hope you like you like it! I'll let you read the first one and if you love it I might try it, lol.

I acquired a few books recently:Carmilla.
I fell in love with the cover and had to have it! Tipping the Velvet
Brighter Than the Sun

Haha Mary I will let you know. I wont start this series until after the new year though. I think it will be good, so I am looking forward to it, and the books are much smaller than Outlander thank the lord for that. LOL

I was really bad with buying books. We would go to the UBS every week which explains why my book shelves filled up so fast. LOL I had no choice but to slow down a bit.

You know I think Id rather read Lord John Grey series and skip The Fiery Cross lol! Now that book scares me, so long and slow. I think I will be skimming.
Yea the Fiery Cross is huge and the next one is no better. I think it will be taking me much longer to finish this series, but you know what? We are free to read them when we want and take as long as we want too. No time constraints!
Janie I like the idea of no time constraints in this series because I am reading so many different series that are awesome that I might wait till January to read The Fiery Cross. I read the first 6 chapters and it bored me to death. Ack!! I do like the series though and at least the 6th book is suppose to be good.Janice those books sound like they will be good! I do want to read Shadow and Bone.
I went to the book store on Friday and got a few books.

if you want to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone in December I would love to!
I bought The Classic Illustrated Edition of The Wizard Of Oz - Five Stories of Wizard Of Oz from Barnes and Nobles during their Black Friday Sale. The Author's name is L. Frank Baum. I tried to find the link to this beautiful book but I couldn't find it. If you go to Barnes and Nobles Website you can find this book on their Website. It is just Beautiful. I dearly love this Book.
I bought Book #2 in The Liveship Traders Trilogy by Robin Hobb from Amazon. It is the actual physical copy of the book. There is Book #3 in this Trilogy and that is called Ship Of Destiny. I have the actual physical copy of Book #1 and Book #2 now. I also bought Book #3 in the Peagasus Series by Kate O'Hearn. The name of the book is called "The New Olympians". This series is really good. So far there are a total of 5 Books in this Series.
Happy Reading

It sounds like you got some really good books at your Goodwill Store.
I bought A Pack Divided (Survivors: The Gathering Darkness, #1) from Amazon yesterday. Otherwise, all I bought in the last 2 months was a volume of the manga, Karneval.
Linda our Good Will usually does have some great books and a lot of them. They were a little low this time bur I still managed to find some good ones.

The Goodwill in my town does too and I am due to go take a look at their books. Its been a while since I've been there. I usually find Middle Grade Books there and some Good Ole Mystery Books as well too.
Oh glad to hear you have a good one too. I like to hit ours up at least once a month if not more than that.

Received PS Publishing's slipcased 30th Anniversary Edition of Skeleton Crew by Stephen King today:
Next is Salem's Lot published as three volumes, though I'm not sure if I'm going to splurge for that. Yet. ;D
I also picked up a signed copy of The Elfstones of Shanara by Terry Brooks at Barnes and Noble's Black Friday sale.
All my Xmas shopping is done, so it was time to get myself something:
Easton Press' The Tale of Genji, Arthur Waley, trans. My "Genji" shelf now looks like this (4 different translations--I've read two of them):

It was like hitting the powerball....well maybe not that but it still made me giddy.
I have read Winter Garden and really liked that one. She has a nice writing style, engaging and fluid. And yes her covers are AMAZING!
