I ordered Yearn a few days ago. I've read a few of her other books and like her style so hopefully this one won't be a disappointment. Other than that I haven't really bought many books lately :(

Five People You Meet in Heaven is a book my old English teacher recommended to me. One of her favourites and I still haven't gotten around to reading it! Have fun with that one :)
I recently bought two books. One is called The Shoemaker's Wife by Adriana Trigiani, and the other is called Stoner by John Williams. Both look like brilliant books, but one should not judge a book by its cover as we all know. I hope they live up to my initial, judgemental expectations.
Went to Goodwill today and they had bunches of goodies. I had to put a stack back because I didn't have enough money, lol. I ended up getting:Animal Farm
The Case of the Deadly Desperados
Gallows View
The Coma
Kushiel's Mercy
and books 1-4 of the Mortal Instruments series in great shape. Plus about 10 books for the kiddo. Was a good day, just wish I coulda got all the books I wanted! :D

Hehe thanks Holly! I love good deals and the woman that check us out gave us all the paperbacks for $1 instead of just the pocket size.
Kathryn yea it is Deaver's and it is hardback. A really nice copy of it too!

Really nice book haul Kathryn! Flynn is a favorite of mine but be aware her books can be dark & twisted- dark places and sharp objects are really well written memorable stories but very disturbing.
enjoy all of your books-sounds like you guys had a great day :)

Thank you, Rachel! Flynn's books just sound dark and twisted! I have heard she can really craft stories very well, so I'm looking forward to trying out her books! :)
I wish you could have come with us! :)
Janessa it is the Arts & Jazz festival. We missed it last year, but we loved it this year, seemed like so much more was there this time.
Ok so I have so many books to haul I will do my vlog and post the link here, that will be easier I think. LOL
Janie wrote: "Nice to see you post Rachel! :)"Thanks Janie :) Looking forward to hearing about your book haul

Bragger! Hehe. Hugs. I have to put a list together. Y'all are bad influences. ;)
Ok so I got my book haul vlog done and here it is. It was rather large and is just easier to post the video rather than typing all the titles in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxvcX...
I think that could be possible Victor. I have full TBR's through July though, but after that it would work for me.
Last night, I bought The Light Between Oceans. This week, I'll hopefully be getting to packages: one is the book Trouble In Mind, which is Jeffery Deaver's third volume of short stories; then, Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell and Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir by Jenny Lawson hopefully gets here by the end of the week. :) I've never read a memoir, but a few years ago, one of my GR friends read it and rated it five stars saying it was hilarious, so I thought I might give it a try since it's been on TBR for a long time. :)
Been saving for some time and finally today treated myseld to the most books I've bought at once since I don't remember how long. Nothing like Janie's hauls though. Anyway I bought:
I didn't buy it but I just got a book I'd been waiting for on PBSwap for a long time, Heading Out to Wonderful
. I was very happy, 'specially since it came in like brand new looking condition. Always nice :)
Janie wrote: "Gavin nice haul! I hope you enjoy 11/22/63 I love that book so much!"SK hasn't let me down since I started reading his stuff, so I most likely will
Victor wrote: "Gavin- Casual Vacancy and Gatsby are fantastic!"
So I've heard :)

and 11/22/63 are both so amazing-enjoy your haul!
Jeannie wrote: "I bought the outsiders and Dorothy must die and two bible mini devotionals"i just ordered Dorothy Must Die from the bookstore-sounds like a fun book-hope we both like it!
i also watched the movie the outsiders about a million times growing up-loved the movie but have never read the book.
enjoy all of your books!
My wallet is telling me 'no', but I'm like 'shut up'. So I bought more books today. I'm set for like the next two months
(saw the anime adaptation and I just had to buy it)
(he gets compared to SK, so let's see)
I also Horns and The Ocean at the End of the Lane, but I was already out of cash. Damn.
lol Gavin- i tell my wallet to shut up when i buy books too.i loved Hideaway and i'm a dean koontz fan (especially of his older books) but i think he and stephen king while both talented have very different writing styles-i do think they're both really good at creating memorable characters.
