It was 3.79 I think. It's only 63? pages? Short, quick read. :)
It's really tempting now...maybe I'll just buy Wintergirls and In the Tall Grass. But what about the left over money..?(I just got my babysitting money today)
Thanks everyone - it's nice to have people to share my joy - most people I know can't understand why I'm so excited :)

Hahaha, save it until you find something else you want to read. :)
Michelle wrote: "Thanks everyone - it's nice to have people to share my joy - most people I know can't understand why I'm so excited :)"You're very welcome!
And don't worry: we all understand your excitement perfectly. And we're not like "most people."
We are ka-tet.:)
I've bought A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin, In the Tall Grass, UR, Throttle by Stephen King, and Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson.

Woo-hooo, I'm so very excited!!My Wife, Tanya, frequents a group at Facebook called Columbia Basin Buy-Sell-Trade, and the other day she found a listing of Ted Dekker novels. There were three listed for only $10 (for all three.) Needless to say, she jumped at the chance, and as of yesterday, we now own

WOOT OK I am a happy pre-Christmas camper! Hub bought me today 9NEW BOOKS!!!!! from the UBS, so not new new, but new to me. so I got. Oh ok I got Odd Hours and Brother odd by Dean Koontz. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, The silence of the lambs, Hannibal, hannibal Rising, Heartsick (yay can do the buddy read), Bridhid's Quest and The Passage in hardback ugh, no soft back. But if I find it in soft back this one will more than likely be a part of my giveaways. I am VERY HAPPY!

I haven't read Silence of the Lambs, but I own and really like the movie. Your husband sounds like a good man! Mark doesn't surprise me with books. He tells me to buy what I want when I go or gives me a gift card because he is afraid he will get me the wrong book.
LOL Kathryn I went back and read and saw my typos lol. Hub usually buys them when I am with him, not by himself, he would rather give me money to get them myself rather than he try to buy them. But today we were there together. He has gotten into a reading kick too, which I love! So he pretty much reads what I suggest and so far he has liked them all. I think he would do ok picking out books for me because he knows what genre I like.
Cheryl wrote: "I bought Battle Royale the novel.I'll read it in January."
You should ask Victor about Battle Royale. I think that is one of his favorite books.
Cheryl wrote: "Yeah Victor helped convince me into getting it.Although I liked the Hunger Games books."
haha, awesome! I liked The Hunger Games trilogy, too. The last book was disappointing to me, though.
I have been wanting to read Throttle, I look forward to your review Kathryn.I know I shouldn't have spent the .99 cents but I just bought Ten Little Zombies: A Love Story for my Kindle. I read tons of board books and stuff to my son so when I saw this I couldn't stop laughing. My son will love this when he is older.
Cheryl wrote: "Janie, I liked Silence, but greatly disliked Hannibal.Red Dragon was good though."
I greatly disliked Hannibal, as well.. Great finds, though, Janie!!
And thank you. We are very excited about the Dekker books. Speaking of which, I found out that all three are part of a series (or perhaps it's a trilogy, since I can't find any others listed as part of the series.)

Thanks Chris!! It should be posted tonight. :)
Let's see, lately I've bought Horns, The Wind Through the Keyhole, They Thirst, The Myth Hunters, 77 Shadow Streetand Black Oak 1: Genesis. I read the King novel and it was very good and fit perfectly as a bridge between Wizard and Glassand Wolves of the Calla. I'm over half way through the McCammon novel and it has already made my top five favorite vampire novels. I'm going to read the Joe Hill novel next, I've been given some really good reviews about it.

I hate when I read the books first then discover they are a series and find out I read book 3 first lol

Wow Drew great haul! I have been looking for They thirst at my UBS but have not found it yet. Hopefully soon. I love McCammon!
Janie wrote: "I loved Swan Song. One of my all time faves!"I can see where people say it's similar to King's The Stand but both are great. I don't think one is better than the other.

The three books you purchased comprise the Paradise Trilogy, which are also a part of The Books of History Chronicles (which in turn includes The Circle Series, the Lost Books, and Immanuel's Veins). Showdown was my very first Dekker book. I haven't read Saint and Sinner yet. Or is it Sinner and Saint? I forget which order they go in.
Cheryl wrote: "Janie, I liked Silence, but greatly disliked Hannibal.Red Dragon was good though."
I'm with you on that! I haven't read Red Dragon, but Hannibal was, in my opinion, appalling.
Yeah, it was a real dissapointment.I think it's because RD and SL focussed on a good police officer as a protag.
Hannibal had too much.. well Hannibal.
And it was too dark for it's own good and spent far too long in Italy.
Janie wrote: "Dustin wrote: "And thank you. We are very excited about the Dekker books. Aw, thank you very much, J.S! I really appreciate you saying so. Since my previous post (12/19,) I looked at the list of titles/series in the books, and it also lists Skin and House as being part of the series, though they are lised separely. I had no idea that the trilogy is connected to the Circle series, amongst others. I thank that's awesome!!
I just purchased The Broken Window, which will be my first Jeffery Deaver read, and Cold Mountain. Both at the thrift store for .49 cents. :)
Kathryn wrote: "I just purchased The Broken Window, which will be my first Jeffery Deaver read, and Cold Mountain. Both at the thrift store for .49 cents. :)"i've been thinking of trying deaver for a while now-looking forward to hearing what you think of his writing- 49 cents is awesome!
Ok so I got 3 more books today. I got an Author for one of my blind authors The Zero Hour, I also got A Dark Matter, and Street Game. I have 3 books by Christine Feehan and have yet to read any of hers. LOL
Just got back from the UBS. I got all of these for a dollar: Black by Ted Dekker, Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner, In Her Shoes by Jennifer Weiner, hardback of Dolores Claiborne by King, hardback of The Tommyknockers by King, and hardback of The Regulators by King.
so i finally picked up my books today from the bookstore and in addition to the books i had ordered i also felt the need to buy Deal Breaker, A is for Alibi and Blood Work lolp.s. did i mention that 11/22/63 is the size of a small country :o
