Hope you can get a good credit on your books Kathryn. I went to a HPB in Lewisville and I had 3 boxes full of books and they wanted to give me $1 for all of it. I was like what? Needless to say I had them pack them back up and I took them home. I just took one box to Recycled Books(Opera House) and got an $18 store credit. Which allowed me bring home of 14 books lol. I love when that happens.
Ok so anyway I went through the books and have a really good understand of the Rhyme series now. I need 6 more books to complete that one. I should be able to do that ok. I kept my old phone, the one I had when we had our meet up, and I loaded in the 6 books I need. Now I know for sure what I need and I want to buy those before I buy anything else so I can have a completed series. Also working on Patterson's Cross series and the Women's murder club series. LOL

That's awesome guys. I have all if his books but I'm trying to get them on Kindle so I can keep my hardcovers nice and pristine. Plus I love being able to read on my phone when I get stuck somewhere unexpected.
I usually get a pretty good deal, and if I don't, I do the same thing as you. I just take them somewhere else.
There are two other series that he wrote before Rhyme. There are three books in each, they are the Rune and Pellam series. The rest are stand alone. The newest one October List was amazing but difficult to get used to how it was written at first. Edge and The Bodies Left Behind were really good stand alone novels.
Ok....Rune, check, and Pellam, check! Thanks Chris! You have been so helpful! And you feed my book addiction beautifully!
Well I'm glad I can help feed a book addiction. I've been a fan of his for a very long time and if I can help spread how great these books are then I'm happy. Plus I'm always very excited to talk about these books. Can't wait to talk about these books with you guys. I really do hope you both enjoy them. I would hate it if I have talked these up so much that they don't live up to expectations.
I think it will be fine Chris. The only complaint I have had with Deaver is that he seems to be a little more political, but I can handle that.
I haven't seen that myself. He doesn't mention politics or his political views in his books like King does. Maybe I have just missed it. That is something I would like to know more about. If you see the books taking a political turn let me know. I might have missed that while reading or not taken it that way. Interesting, now I am really looking forward to talking about these with you.
Hmmm Chris rofl, maybe I have the wrong Author? I have read like 2 or 3 books of Deavers. I may have him confused with someone else. Now I am trying to think of who I may have confused him with.
Still I am interested to see if you think that after reading a few more. I've never noticed that but then again I tend to not pay attention to political references. Garden of Beasts might be considered political but it is about an assassin in Nazi Germany.
I took some books in and got 10.50 for them. Yay! Soooo...I bought:The Burning Wire by Jeffrey Deaver (Rhyme, Book 9)
The Kill Room by Jeffrey Deaver (Rhyme, Book 10)

The first of November I start The Twelve, and then sometime in November Victor and I are reading Miss Peregrines School..."Don't forget Cujo Janie!!! I don't mind if we don't do that until December or even January, absolutely no rush ;)
LOL All these reads. Michelle you let me know when you wanna read Cujo and that will work for me. I really don't mind at all.
What dayb in November are we reading Miss Peregrine Janie? I was thinking we could read it either towards the beginning or the end of the month.
Well at the beginning I am reading The Twelve and The Sleeping doll. So I am thinking after those are read Victor.
Michelle, I will finish my current read tomorrow, and I don't have anything planned after it until November 1. Is that too soon? After November 1, Janie and I are reading a trilogy together, and it don't have any reads after that so far.
hi, I'm new in this group. :)I bought four books last month, which is :
1- Winter Journal by Paul Auster
2- A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
3- The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
4- The Writing Circle by Corrine Demas.
I've read two of them, one is currently reading and still got one more to go. :D

How long do you think you'll need for the trilogy? We could start after that? I don't mind if we don't set a date, you could just let me know when you're nearly done - I should be good to go by then :)

Lately I have been reading my books one at a time. I can't even think of reading more than one now LOL
hehehe Heather!I usually only read one at a time so I'm not quite sure how I got myself into this pickle haha. It's fun though!
I agree michelle i just received a couple today and i couldnt wait to dive into one of them that is becoming a series and ive read almost 45 pages into it
Yay for buddy reads! LOL I really do love them and then the discussions afterwards are a lot of fun too.
And today I got Stieg Larsson: The Real Story of the Man Who Played With Fire and Regret the Error: How Media Mistakes Pollute the Press and Imperil Free Speech. These were just a dollar two!
You found some great deals on books recently. No more books for me I'm afraid. I hope to find some great deals soon, and I am trying to figure out what books to buy my wife for Christmas. Got to shop now.
Yes, I sure did. Dollar Tree is an awesome store! Maybe you'll get some new books for Christmas. :-)
I have to start my Christmas shopping as well. There are so many people to by for!

I hope to get some for Christmas but right now I have a few Kindle books I'm stalking waiting for the price to drop on. I might have to break down and buy one when I finish Doctor Sleep. I really don't have anything lined up after that. Except re-reading all of my Jeffery Deaver books.
