ok awesome Kathryn! So you can start on that series. I have The Bone Collector, but not The Coffin Dancer.
Chris, I am looking forward to reading The Bone Collector since I loved the movie so much. It will be great to have another series to read. I will be starting TBC after I finish Different Seasons. :)Janie, and the first Kathryn Dance book! I am excited to try out a new author!
Library sale yesterday turned up
,
, and
plus some books for the little guy, and for my friend's kid. Could've prolly got a whole lot more, but I had to take little guy with me, and he didn't really let me look as long and as thoroughly as I wanted too. O well, still got a couple good ones. Plus when I went to Books a Million the day before to get
(not the edition or cover I got but the search thingy's being dumb for me right now) I picked up
and
as well. So I'm happy. Now I just need to restrain myself from buying anymore for the rest of the year... Ha! That's a battle that has a good chance of being lost, lol.
Nice haul of books Kit! Yea I know I could never say
"Now I just need to restrain myself from buying anymore for the rest of the year...
LOL Cause I know I would not even try to restrain myself! HAHA!
Ok, don't laugh, but I had this overwhelming nostalgic feeling yesterday and bought a book on Amazon Books. The book is "Fun with Dick and Jane". Yes, my first grade reader. Is that crazy or what?
It's my birthday today, so I thought I'd order myself some books (:This is the list:
- Looking for Alaska
- Paper Towns
- An Abundance of Katherines
- Will Grayson, Will Grayson
- Life of Pi
- The Book Thief
- 1984
- Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
My books will come in about 3 to 4 days, so I can't wait! (:
I recently purchased:
Standing Next to History: An Agent's Life Inside the Secret Service
A Most Unsuitable Match
Legends and Lies: Great Mysteries of the American West

Is that crazy or what?"Nah, not crazy. I buy books I remember from my young days all the time. Granted, I put em as my kid's books, but I want to keep em even after he's grown. Books like Go Dog Go and The Fire Cat and the classic Little Golden Books... :) I regret getting rid of all my books from back then, the little kid books and my older kid books too. I had the Black Stallion books and Little House on the Prairie set, and darn near all the first 50 or so Goosebumps books, and so many more... I wish I had them now. So I don't think it's weird at all :D
Kit I can remember my parents getting us this whole set of classic books. They were bound like encyclopedias only just smaller books. Black beauty was one of them along with Tom Sawyer and many more. If I remember correctly it was a set of 10 or 12 books. They were awesome. I have no idea what happened to those books now and it makes me sad. I am sure my mom did something with them.
I just ACCIDENTALLY bought Doctor Sleep. I got impatient; double tapped and bought the book along with the free sample. My Mom wasnt too mad. I know how Im spending the next hour or so doing.....
I seldom buy books due to budgetary concerns. I'm 386th in line at the library for Dr. Sleep! So I guess it will be a while!

I gave em back to her when I moved out at 18, and she just sold the whole box at our yard sale last year. I shoulda kept em, lol :)

Yesterday I got a few books. I found 2 of Deaver's books on the sales rack at the UBS, The Devil's Teardrop, which I already had, go figure and also I got The Vanished Man. I also got Les Misérables and Edgar Allan Poe's Complete Tales & Poems. Then at B&N I got Doctor Sleep and hub got a few books he had wanted too. So I am happy.

Thanks Michelle I have been dying to get Les Miserables and Poe's works for awhile and finally remembered to go look for them.
Just downloaded The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. I never read her books and this one is the first of the Mayfair Witches series...huge read ..over 1000 pages. Will read this after Doctor Sleep. Also downloaded Man of Wax by Robert Swartwood and Steeled for Murder by KM Rockwood, unknown authors to me but got them from Bookbub for .99 cents!
