Need help organising your plot?

You've thought of a terrific idea for a book and you're pretty sure 'it's got legs'. The plot is formed in your head, the main characters are part developed and you're ready for the next stage. But what is the next stage? How do you move things along from a gem of an idea in your mind? Is there enough impetus in the story to carry it along for at least 50,000 words? hey guys! I don't really have a problem but I am curious what kind of software you use for writing your stories/poems/plays/etc.?

Is it helpful to work with some kind of writing software or are they overrated?

What is your experience with them?

I liked ywriter, I've tried scrivener that wasn't for me. I wrote a lot using q10, because you had to close it to stop writing and that made you leave it open longer....

But after a while I decided that it wasn't worth chasing software to write in and went back to pretty much handwriting all plotting and a normal word processor for drafts.

I have a lot of plots a lot of story's its the middle of a book that's hard for me to get past.

i have good plots but the beginning is hard for me to pass and how would u hand orginize your ideas because i am having a hard time with that too
