Same here! Have been a hard time fitting in these books into other challenges along with time to read review books (which I'm sadly so far behind on!)

I think I'll just stop joining other challenges besides this group and the Seasonal. It's just too much work, considering the books I have to review for the blog.

I realized that's the best way to reduce the to read list. when you read them you have one book off your list, differently than with a series, in which you read one and then you add the rest of the books to your list.

Did you read them all this year, Lynn? It will only count the ones you have read from 1 Jan 2013. I think I set it up only to count for this year as I wanted an annual goal.

Aha! That explains it. The others were from the beginning of the challenge itself.

6. You are So Undead to Me by Stacey Jay.
Which as it turns out, I can no longer get hold of, so rolling again.

This one I can get for sure.

This is one of the groups I enjoy the most. Your challenges are always so interactive, Tien!
I'm even thinking of dropping the Seasonal Challenge after Spring ends. It's just too stressing if your OCD, like me. Lately I've noticed that I'm not reading as many long books as I used to. I need to get back to read what I want!

Aw, thanks, DG :D
I've not completed any of the TSC ever! I haven't participated in a bit until last 'winter' one and I almost made it but didn't so I just wanted to complete ONE - just 1 (to satisfy my OCD-ness, ha ha ha). I seem to manage to fit a lot fo my review books in this season and it's a lot smaller in comparison to 'winter' so hoping I'd be able to complete this one ;)

I second what DG said. I must admit that my cut from four groups to three was a good idea. Now I am thinking of sitting out SRC for a season - not quitting it, just not participating. However, since this season the total points/books are fewer, I was sucked right back in. and I have managed to cross plan 50% of the SRC books to this group and RwS. So now I have a better chance of doing well in all three groups.

But it's such a big challenge that it really takes almost every book you read in the period to compete. I like it because it reminds me to read other stuff besides my usual - UF, romance, PNR, mystery, etc. - but at the same time, I don't want to HAVE to read anything if I don't feel like it.

Rolled 4+5=9
Ding ding ding! My magic number, so I'll be reading River Town, #1 on my list.
As part of a spring cleaning challenge, I moved a number of books off my TBR shelf. That pretty much messed up my Mt TBR list, so in each case, I've replaced those books with the ones that immediately followed them. That means the numbers don't really mean much any more, but I've left them in because they help me find things.

I really like the little widgets Tien set up for us. Each day, they remind me things like "You're two books behind schedule" (as I am with my LOST books). It's easier to try to keep it saying I'm on schedule than to keep counting how many I've read.

#5 Waking Nightmare by Kylie Brandt

I'm trading The Orphan Master's Son for Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death, and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity. They were both published in 2012.

I really did not like the main character. The story would have been pretty good, but I just couldn't connect to anyone in it, and that's sort of important to me. I decided I couldn't do however many pages with him.

My TBR only has 400 books and I 'capped' the rolling at 35 books. If this challenge is open ended, I figured I can roll again and start from the beginning once I finish this bunch. :)
yea, well, I had about 2,000 and climbing...
I think I must've went nuts one day and just started adding books from all sorts of lists! Even ones I normally wouldn't read... the reasoning was that it'll make my life easier when I'm searching for a book to fit a task if it's already on my shelf ;p **who's kooky now!**
But... I've been really good lately and been very conservative in adding to TBR. Want to see those numbers down first! Will let you know when it's under 2,000 LOL

I finished Up the Line. That makes 18 out of a goal of 50, so the widget says I'm 2 behind schedule. Not too bad, since my LOST list is much further behind than that.

Ah, but the question is always which books I'll end up reading. There are so many on my list, and of course, as I keep trying to whittle, I'm also always constantly adding.

#74 - Colors Insulting To Nature

Kind of excited!!!

So, I am replacing it with Croak which was published the same year.
Sigh. I would make claims to whittling down my list, but I add more books faster than I can read them.

I used to have it at 200...but ever since I got an e-reader, it's been creeping up and up!

I had that same once upon a time... now its at 330. I guess I've kissed that particular fairytale goodbye, lol!
