MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 535 comments I was rescuing some books when I ran across this author. Every book with his name also has the author Khaled Al Khamissi with it.

I am assuming that خالد الخميسي and Khaled Al Khamissi are the same name but I am so not sure.

What is the policy in this situation?

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments Its fine as it is if they are the same author which I think they are as does google translate, although since the books look to be only in Arabic there is no need for the Roman name in theory but you can leave as is.

For this case the following would apply:
1. English name first on all editions
2. Author Name in Arabic second
3. Editions specific transliterations of author name third, e.g. if there was say a Russian edition, the Cyrillic author name would be third.

Diane | 3 comments How about authors page, we'll end up with same author with multiple pages for each of the translated names.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments I usually put a link to the primary record, plus the English language one if not that.
