But it isn't. Especially 'cause I grated the cheese right onto my piping hot slice fresh from the oven so the cheese got all melty and gooey onto the cinnamoney crust.

You are a sweetheart Jackie.

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments melty, gooey, and cinnamoney...scrumptious

Is it me or is there some mains/dessert confusion happening here?

I was thinking that myself, Koala friend. It seems us Yanks get all wonky with our eats as the temperatures start dropping.

Grating cheddar cheese over a sugary fruit pie is like putting a dollop of mayonnaise on it.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I like my apple pie unadulterated, it needs no accompaniment. I actively don't like ice cream on it. It's way too sweet for my taste buds.

I do like whipped cream on pumpkin pie, though.

I'd eat it wrapped in a cabbage leaf.

Right now I'm eating a coconut cream Santa.

Sarah | 13814 comments I've never had apple pie with cheese, but Zu puts cheese on both banana bread and pancakes, and it's delicious.

Wouldn't Mr. Barb be hurt?

Sarah | 13814 comments Kevin, my cousin will be in Kenya in March, working in a hospital in Nairobi I believe. She's going early, in February I think, to go down to Tanzania with her father and climb Kilmanjaro.

Jim | 6484 comments Aw thanks Larry!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm about to watch the Grinch!

message 4726: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments That was on 2 hours ago here.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments It's still good two hours later, Jim. :)

Jim | 6484 comments Jackie "the Librarian" wrote: "It's still good two hours later, Jim. :)"

Glad to hear it Jackie - enjoy!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I will, Jim. The Grinch just had a wonderful, awful idea, and his ears curled up.

You know, seeing the Whos with all their noisy toys, it's really no wonder the Grinch gets fed up with them...

message 4730: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Those abominable Whos.

message 4731: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Down in Whoville.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Apparently, the Whos have no regular furniture, just Christmas decor. And only Christmas food. And Christmas ice cubes.

...wearing a hoodie. An orange hoodie. Ah, neck warmness.

message 4734: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I may regret asking this, but what makes an ice cube a Christmas ice cube?

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments No clue, Jonathan, but the Grinch took ALL of them, so they must be Christmasy. No cold drinks for the Whos! No sirree! Or Who hash, either.

I think the Grinch wants to starve the Whos out, actually...

message 4736: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments I really want some Who hash.

message 4737: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments No Who hash?!? What will the Whos do?

I have discovered a new love. Tree swallows.

OMG I just went back to that thread, the picture Sally posted didn't show on my screen originaly. No wonder you were posting tree swallows.

I'm going to build the house that Jonathan posted. We have Tree Swallows every year that try to get in the Jenny wren house but are too big, and then they try to keep the wrens out. This should solve both problems.

For heavens sake. It wasn't port or porn! The human penis is natural.

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments So are tree swallows.
