I am working at the reference desk at the Lacey Library this afternoon. I used to work at the library in Olympia, so I'm not as familiar with Lacey as I would like. But I now know where the car repair books and the Large Print are. :D
I am trying to get back into GR. What a pain in the ass to have to go through all the threads so they don't show old new comments.
Awww, thanks y'all. It's just I spend so damn much time on here. But for now I don't really have anything else to do...:)
WB Mindy! To the right when viewing a discussion thread, beneath the search bar, there should be two options - unread topics | mark unread.Select unread topics, then scroll to the bottom to click on mark all read (some variation of that).
Just finished watching Web Site Story. Still considering giving it its own thread. Work safe and stuff this time, I promise. And now: off to the library!
Not too much--it's good to talk to you again! My daughter went to Alaska for vacation and I'm almost done with the first draft of my book. I guess those are the main things. What about you?
Right now I'm getting ready to watch The Hudsucker Proxy. I'm also thinking about making a smoothie but leery of dirtying more dishes.
Sweeter is flabbergasted that I've never seen all the Cohen Bros movies.

Right now I'm thinking--why did I stay up til 11:45 again? Oh well, I was visiting friends on GRs, so it was worth it.
I'm preparing for the move to law school in August, and TRYING not to spend so much time on GR again. (It's not working.)
I just had a weird thought - it's been a really long time since anyone in this group was reported a personal major life event (Kevin's daughter getting married is pretty significant, and it doesn't count because it wasn't Kevin getting married). It's overdue. One of you needs to get engaged or get married or get preggers or have babies or move or start an exciting new job or something in that vein... like STAT . :) We're overdue. Sharing in Sally's and Amy's fairly recent engagements/weddings was neato! Speaking of major life events, I found out during my vacation that I'm going to be an auntie again. I'm super stoked, esp. since my sister's baby will be due around my birthday.
Congrats on the impending aunt-hood! I'm on the verge of a major life change. Gotta be @ CUNY for orientation in 6 weeks! *vomits*

Heidi: I GOT A KINDLE! K. That wasn't as life altering.A co-worker got another kitty! That's six in his house! One for all his family members. That one is SOOOO ADORABLE! Makes me wanna get a pet.
But don't have a lot of space at home. Hm. Recommendations on small pets?
Right now I am watching the USA/Canada rugby match on CNN and wishing Sarah Pi were here to explain to me what in the hell is going on.
What?! Offer me a beer and I'll join you and explain. The Basics
- They must pass the ball backwards.
- They may not hold onto the ball on the ground, which is why the ruck/pack (humungous forwards) must try to free the ball by pushing their opponents back.
That's another cool thing about Sarah Pi, rugby.
Right now I'm looking up the light rail schedule to go downtown.

Right now I'm getting ready to teach at 8AM...I'm teaching from 8 to 12 the next two weeks...and most of the students are taking a 1-5 class as well. Yeah, college students taking classes all day in the summer...hope they've had their coffee:)I also rode nineteen miles on the bike early this morning...stronger wind than I expected, off the lake, but still beautiful.
RA, sorry I kept the computer off this weekend. I would have been happy to explain rugby to you, though Richard started you off.I can't do youtube from work, but I think this is a video that explains the basics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEQyCc...
When I was in high school, I had a crush on a guy who played rugby. I confessed to him that I liked him; he told me he was moving to Egypt. True story. Right now, I'm eating lunch because I won't get a chance to eat later today... at all.
Sweeter and I have a friend who coaches the Northern Colorado rugby team. Apparently he's no fun to work out with because his focus is easily lost as he constantly tries to recruit any fit looking 20 something in the gym.
I'm drinking my homebrewed (i.e. I put the peppermint in the water myself) peppermint water! And it's AWESOME. :)
Heidi wrote: "I'm drinking my homebrewed (i.e. I put the peppermint in the water myself) peppermint water! And it's AWESOME. :)"hey that sounds good - how do you do this (???) fresh mint or ???
Fresh mint leaves and a single drop of peppermint extract (I prefer the peppermint to the spearmint during really hot weather) - the amount of the leaves doesn't really matter, but anything more than one drop of extract would be too much. Tried and tested and proven. Peppermint's also great with green tea, no sweetener.
