Félix (habitseven) Let me know when you come up with something, Matt. There are some things I'd like to do again from when I was 15, too.

message 2002: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments I am home. I've been home since Tuesday. It's been... unpleasant...

I can pitch again. It's... nice.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Not me. 19 or 20 maybe, but 15?

:::shudder:::

message 2004: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Can you go pitch right now? I'm serious. Just against a wall or something?

message 2005: by TxLadyForever (new)

TxLadyForever | 190 comments 15 ahhhhhhhh I remember something about being 15..........apparently I am not as far gone as some think! LOL

message 2006: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Ha, wouldn't want to put a hole in the wall... I'd go outside... but it's raining rather hard. It's cold.

message 2007: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm not saying I want to BE 15 again. I just would like to do a couple of things over. That's all.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I think you need a hot beverage, preferably with some caffeine, Matt. Tea, or something chocolatey...

And while your kettle is heating up, put on some lively music, not any of RA's shebangs, but something with a beat. Pretend you ARE 15, and dance accordingly. :)

That even cheered me up, and I didn't move a muscle!

message 2010: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments There's plenty I'd change about being 15... I was so extremely shy & naive. And, I think the biggest bummer is that when you look back and realize that you were cute & funny & could have had waaaaay more fun than you did and you didn't even know it! Plus, I would have dated Mark (funny, hot & down-to-earth) and not Tom (too-serious, insecure & obsessed with being depressed)! ugh. lol

That is exactly what I was thinking the other day!
And I dated the wrong guys too!!

message 2012: by Lori (new)

Lori that makes 3 of us!

Of course, I look back at me in my late teens and 20s and realize what a babe I was, too bad I didn't appreciate it. Julie - there's still time for you! YOU ARE A BABE!

message 2013: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Lori wrote: "Julie - there's still time for you! YOU ARE A BABE!"

Agreed.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I agree. Julie, you are a babe!

I was NOT a babe at 15, I was a nerd. Dating? No way!

message 2015: by Julie (last edited Jun 05, 2009 04:45PM) (new)

Julie | 568 comments Eeek!!
Oh no, I am bad at taking compliments!
::fiddles uncomfortably::
Thanks, though. I will try to live as if I am a babe. :)
Really it is good advice for anyone.

message 2016: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I have to admit that's one thing I haven't tried (yet). Living as if I were a babe, I mean.

message 2017: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments It's not about being fifteen, per se...

message 2018: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Please elaborate, Matt. You got us all going here.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I am filled completely up with cheese enchiladas, tomato, avocado, and green beans. My shoes are off, and I'm up on the couch at last.

Ooh, my braid looks so pretty, Sally!

message 2026: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) She did a great job.

message 2027: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm watching the people streaming in the Taste of Omaha event that's happening in the park right outside of my place. It's really crazy. The live music is really loud, too. So happens tonight the circus is at the Qwest Arena which is just a half block away on the other side. The walked the elephants over from the train stataion earlier in the week. I was out of town and missed that this year.

People, cars, and motorcycles are everywhere.

It's crazy I tell ya. It's crazy.

message 2028: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Ooh. Taste of Omaha sounds pretty cool.

message 2029: by Matthieu (last edited Jun 05, 2009 08:02PM) (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Things felt better then. There's a lot to it, though. Hard to say. Everything was exciting, real. Now... everything sucks. Boredom.

message 2030: by Félix (last edited Jun 05, 2009 08:03PM) (new)

Félix (habitseven) It's crazy I tell ya. Too many people for my tastes.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Was there a girl involved back then, Matt? Somehow I suspect there was a girl...

message 2032: by Lori (new)

Lori Larry, Qwest is everywhere! We've got Qwest Stadium. The Stadium we all voted down proposition after proposition but got built anyway. Oh wait, that was Safeco Field.

Oooo, the elephants. I never dreamed Omaha was so happenin.

message 2033: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) It's where it's at, Lori.

message 2034: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments It's 11:30 on a Saturday and I've been up for three hours already. Went to the farmer's market, watched rugby, bought a new belt for the vacuum, and now we're going to the book sale at Daedalus (my reward) and then buying stones to landscape the back of our yard so it looks nice when my parents visit next week.
Whew.

message 2037: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Sally - Baltimore, MD
Texas -- Enjoy hanging out and reading. I would much prefer that to working on the backyard. I already got my exercise for the day loading the stones onto the trolley and then into the car. Haven't tackled out of the car and into the yard yet.

Nuri (nools) | 538 comments Berkeley again.

Weather was nice in socal today.
Little brother graduated.
So, so strange!

An unexpected happiness: My/my brother's old math teacher came to our family's graduation luncheon thingy. It reminded me again how important Mr. H's been for our family, and his adoption as our grandfather means very much to me.

Right NOW:
Some of the girls are watching Twilight. I am doing my best to block out the sound of it with good music I've recently been directed to. : ) Excuse me while I drink myself to death....

Julie | 568 comments Twitter doesn't appeal to me at all.
You are just supposed to follow what people are doing?
I don't see the pull.

message 2047: by [deleted user] (new)

I tried it and it didn't appeal to me, but one never knows until one tries.

message 2048: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments I Twitter but I don't follow a bunch of bluh celebrities. Just a few friends and some sports stuff. Just like on GR I mostly make smarty remarks. You get to sum up your thought in 140 characters or less. Plus it's really easy with my phone app
