message 1658: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments There were some small boy dance-offs posted on youtube. I thought about sharing one of those, but I had to discipline myself to stick to the topic.

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5ALIL...

while we are laughing at kids here is one of my all-time YouTube favs!!

message 1664: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I looooove the evil-eye baby! I especially love that he doesn't hold that serious look. He just goes directly into cracking up laughing. ^_^

message 1665: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments That little dancer dude was so cool. He reminds me of my nephew as a kid, all attitude and he don't care what no-one thinks he just feels it!

Wouldn't it be cool if we could all just play like that? I often feel like bustin' a hip-hop move in the middle of the pepper aisle, or bursting into Abba songs in line at the bank.

message 1666: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments watch mama mia recently sher?

message 1667: by Lori (new)

Lori That's wonderful Kevin!

Whenever I need a giggle, I watch this baby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P6UU6...

message 1668: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'm enjoying a perfect day here in Omaha (weather-wise).

message 1669: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Why yes, Kevin. How did you know?
Abba is my happy music. I play it whenever I need some pure, silly abandon in my life.

message 1670: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Charlie bit my finger gets me every time. I laugh so hard when I watch that one. I'm not sure if it's the fact that Charlie laughs when he bites or his older brother speaks well-enunciated Brit English... or the morphing from "Ha ha... Charlie bit me" to "OW. OWWWWWWWWW. Charlie bit me" while pouting that makes me laugh. I think it all does, though.

message 1671: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments heidi - my sons (18 and 24) say that every time they get hurt or see something that looks like it hurts. it cracks them up everytime

sherrie - you are not the only one who is cosmic ;)

message 1672: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments I would hope not, Kev. Everyone needs a little cosmic in their lives. :D

message 1673: by [deleted user] (new)

I love that one too Heidi, my daughter has the thing memorized, and every so often will just start reciting the whole thing. I'm laughing at it now and haven't even watched it.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! =D

::waves goodbye in a hardy, enthusiastic hand-over-the-head, smiling, head-slightly tilted, with-other-hand-propped-on-the-hip-kind-of wave::

Have a super fabulous holiday weekend.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Same to you, Heidi! I'm going outside now...

message 1678: by Matthieu (last edited May 22, 2009 07:13PM) (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Right now... I'm eating an ice cream sundae with the girl who has just graduated. Her brother (my close friend) is sitting next to me. I've been taking photographs so I can relive this day. The afternoon sun is scattering through the latticed windows. Even though the sundae and the iced coffee are cold... my hands are warm.

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments That's a good day in my book.

message 1681: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Haha, my drinking habits have nothing to do with you, little N.!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm eating tangerines that are still cold from the refrigerator. Yum!

message 1683: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Clementines are my favorite fruit.

message 1684: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments You know, we had oranges last week, and I always associate oranges with Christmas...and they were great oranges, I agree...

message 1685: by Nuri (new)

Nuri (nools) | 538 comments 1. "Little"?! Thems fighting words, mister!

2. Have they gotten better? The oranges, I mean! I was so disappointed with the tangerines from last winter. Which means I only ate about a box and a half of them, when usually I'd consume about three. Our family is really big on the fruit-eating. Oh, fruit-talk makes me homesick. (In our lovely Berkeley apartment, we have to take supplements to avoid scurvy. Sometimes, there are apples.)

3. Fergalicious is booming from the frat across the street. It is absolutely summer.

message 1686: by Matthieu (new)

Matthieu | 1009 comments Dear Ms. 5'8",

You're certainly not little; that is, unless you stand next to me.

Sincerely,

Mr. 6'4"

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments It IS summer. I'm blasting ABBA again. On and on and on...

Lori Right now I'm beating my printer. I'm trying to print out my freeby Blockbuster coupons, and the printer is not responding. Why? Why? WHY?????????? I've checked everything!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Is there paper in the tray?

message 1690: by Lori (new)

Lori Agh my stupid silly baby kitty had fallen back there and disconnected one of the connections.

STOOPID KITTY!

message 1691: by Lori (new)

Lori Oh that would have fit him perfectly! But we've settled on Gizmo. And lemme tell ya, when he's feeling mischievous, which is quite often, he really does look just like a gremlin.

message 1692: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments just came on from tilling the garden. Tomorrow planting. After that morning work I am going canoeing on the Wildcat Crick

Nuri (nools) | 538 comments I'm so bored! So Bored! It is a Friday night and everyone's leaaaving....

Why did I ever think it was a good idea to nurture my extroversion? It doesn't know how to stay inside and read quietlyyyy.

message 1694: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments Jackie, we are Abba soul sisters. :)

We're going to the Farmer's market tomorrow to get our little garden plants. I'm very happy. This is the first time I've ever actually looked forward to gardening. I guess I've finally let go of my issues about being an indentured servant to my garden-happy Father when I was a girl. Progress is good.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Awesome, Cosmic Sher!

Today I'm getting the house ready for a guest. I will be doing some more vacuuming, and cleaning the bathrooms. But I got started yesterday, so it shouldn't take too long.

Lori Living room blaring basketball game with Richard and Jake and his 2 best friends (brothers). I am seeking escape! But there will be none - the boys, just as noisy as my son, are sleeping over.
