Like sands through the hourglass, these are the days of our lives ....

I always try to keep that in mind when I'm stuck in traffic after an accident. I may be inconvenienced, but someone else's life just got a whole lot worse. Or maybe someone even lost their life.
Right now, I'm ordering extra copies of DVDs that have more than ten holds per copy. Which means I'm getting more copies of Beverly Hills Chihuahua, because while the library already owns 8 copies of this masterpiece, there are 153 holds on it. I need 8 more copies...
:::sigh:::
:) C'mon, Jackie... I've heard it's cute (from at least 2 six year olds)! I haven't seen it, though.

I would procrastinate until some of the holds are filled by returns.

My kids like BHC but didn't like Space Chimps.I didn't watch either. You think I'm crazy? Jackie, do you have actually watch these movies?
Right now I'm considering watching The Office and 30 Rock until the Brew game starts. Then I'll probably read Twilight, drink, and watch the stars.
I bought two pairs of shorts today. I'm wearing a pair now.
Thankfully, I don't have to watch the movies I buy. I buy them from reviews, or because of popular demand. There is no other reason on god's green earth I would have bought Alvin and the Chipmunks. But after getting patron request after patron request, I folded.
What is WRONG with you people?
That is an excellent question, Jacks, and I suggest you hang it on a banner over the circulation desk.I was at my library today! The librarians said hi to me as I entered, and the children's librarian asked where the kids were.
Our librarians rock.
At our library they have to put a sign up that says: "Copier broke, if you want a Xerox of your butt please go to Kinko's"
Tina Fey tweeted: "I think I can safely speak for America when I say, we're not shallow, but please, Britain, do something with Susan Boyle's eyebrows."
Hey give her back Larry, she used to be mine
Put em up Sir!
Just kidding, I might argue a little though.

I've had six beers. I'd fight for her. Drunken rambling fighting.Bottom of the ninth, tied game, Brewers/Mets....
By the way Sally,nice avatar.
Kate Winslet as Clementine in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - one of my very favorite movies!
we seem to put the Holiday movie with her in it into our regular rotation. she is great in that movie as well
Right now my family's back. Today feels like Sunday, like we're getting ready to go back to school tomorrow (which we are). I'll probably make my lunch and get my clothes ready tonight, so I'm ready to go tomorrow. I like Sundays. But I have a "don't leave the house for any reason" guideline after four or so so I can clear my head for the week...
Hmmm.... haven't seen either of those yet, Lar. And I don't think I've seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind either. Must check them out. We're gonna watch Dark Matter and Soul Man. I hope that at least one of them is good. I need to either cry or laugh.
#1 Detective was VERY good tonight. Slum dog was great -- except the TV is too small and the speakers are crap so it was hard to understand a lot of the dialog.I've never seen Dark Matter or Soul Man.
Right now I'm in my very quiet office on a rainy Monday morning. Kind of nice, really. However, I forgot my calendar at home so I have to go back through email and piece together where the hell I'm supposed to be today. I hate when I do that.:)Have a good start of the week, everyone...
Right now, I am finally solidifying in the cool evening after spending a sweltering day in a melty, semi-gelatinous state. Currently digesting is far more ice cream than I should have eaten but was forced to consume as an emergency response in the interests of maintaining homeostasis. This day is still long from done....
I'm leaving for the coooouuuntry/my friend's farm tomorrow morning! :) I'm super excited - I will be so far into BFE that I will have no computer, phone, or other electronic access for 5 days.
And she has no electricity (although you'd never know it because she gets lots of natural light in her place - skylights and large windows)... and gas-powered utilities.
