Thanks, Kevin! I found a libreria, but it wasn´t selling any books, just school supplies. And I wandered through a supermarket. But so far, I haven´t found any postcards. And it´s really, really warm here, so wandering the streets is a bit wearing, especially as I´m afraid to go too far and get lost. The street signs are on the sides of the buildings, but not uniformly.
Currently I´m waiting for Chris´ session to get out, to have lunch with him. It´s running late - big surprise.
Well, it sounds like you are getting to experience some of the area, that is always a plus for me when I travel.
Have fun and be safe.

We ended up watching The Neverending Story and Willow last night, but next weekend we're going to do part 2 and watch Labyrinth and Time Bandits. And maybe Legend if we start early enough.
just finished a steven pressfield novel (gates of fire) about the battle of thermoplyae after a nap. i had an early presentation i did at city hall this morning with the mayor and was sleepy and it was saturday. now to get some things ready for teaching tomorrow...
i teach a "sunday school" type class at our church. it consists of a wide range of ages and demographics. i really just facilitate discussions about life, relationships and how we interact with people. i try to use technology (movies, cell phones, text messaging) as well as "interviews" integrated into my time so no one has to hear me drone on in monologue.
Kevin, Kevin, have you seen the Nooma videos by Rob Bell? They're kind of pricey, but I remember when we were structuring Sunday school lessons for middle schoolers, the ones I saw were good. And I know I said "middle school" but I don't think there's an age limit on them.http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc...

Er. Warning Label: very obviously Christian themes? But thoughtful. I think anyone can appreciate them.
I forgot to add: I think it's cool that you're teaching a class like that! I hope it goes well tomorrow.
Bright, sunny, but brisk (39) day here in the Heartland of America. Beach Boys (believe it ... or not) were at the Qwest Center Arena two blocks from my place last night. We didn't go.
I'm drinking a beer, while making bread, blueberry scones and peanut butter cookies and listening to music. I hope I don't get the recipes mixed up.
And Larry, it is 39 here too! I was thinking of going for a walk, but I think I'll just stay inside and warm and continue to grow plump.
thanks Sally. very cool video series. i will def use these sometime.we are having chicken and wild rice soup in a bread bowl tonight! i always volunteer to wash dishes on bread bowl night!
Yep, coding, as in coding medical charts on the computer--that's what I do for a living. Putting in the diagnostic and procedure codes so the insurance companies can be billed. And, yep again, I hope I don't ever code, as in the "code blues" they call in the hospital on a regular basis, no heart beat, no breathing, no nothing. I'm not into that kind of coding!
Sorry Matthew, didn't see you there.

Right now I'm in the Alterra's coffee shop in Grafton, Wisconsin, 6:53PM. I'm grading papers and catching up on work email because this week is going to be insane and if I finish some work tonight I can take it easy tomorrow and go into Monday morning with a little more calm. My wife and two youngest kids are watching "Bolt" at home and my oldest is staying over at a friend's. I wish I had my f--king camera because a beautiful snowfall is taking place right outside the window, and I want you to see it.

Snooow! : (It was disgustingly sunny today.
It is bewildering to realize that Saturday is nearly gone already. Monday is school and midterms and the beginning of the craziest three weeks of the semester before finals. I am not pleased.
Today I took Emily's friend who spent the night home, then we went out to breakfast, just the two of us, then I took her to the mall where she hung out with a another friend, til I met them at 7 and we saw Benjamin Button, then we drove Allen home and Emily spilled sprite all over herself and so she took shower as soon as we got home, she's in bed and I'm craving ramen noodles. I think I am going to succumb rather quickly.
448 Edwards Hall is happening! The three of us are sitting at our dinner table eating Pad Thai, drinking vanilla milkshakes, and watching some film with Stephen Baldwin (haha). Pete Seeger is playing in the background, and we're all wearing VILLANOVA sweatshirts. Eat shit, Pitt! Not really. I love every PA school/team.It's just... it's just that Villanova is closer to my house/Princeton. Local pride.
3:07AM, welcome back, insomnia. Busy week. I'm going to work out and head to the office soon. I probably won't be on much today...meetings and teaching...have a good one, everybody...
Hi from Buenos Aires! I´m in my very lovely hotel, waiting for Chris to finish breakfast. Croissants are standard breakfast fare here, but they call them medialunas, and some are sweet and sticky, and others are what they call salty, but are just NOT sticky. We´re in the neighborhood of town called Palermo, and today we´re going to walk to the zoo, and do some shopping.
Sorry to hear about the insomnia, RA.The croissants sound delicious, Jackie. Isn't Palermo in Italy, though?
I just arrived (late) in Denver, hoping to connect to Salt Lake this morning. The gods decided otherwise. I'm stuck here until at least 2:55 PM, as they cancelled my 9:15 ride. If the snow continues, that later flight may get cancelled as well.
Well, it's warm and dry here. Plenty of food places. So I will survive.
Sally -- I hope you are not out driving the Prius in this mess.
Well that sucks Larry, I will keep my fingers crossed that you will get to Salt Lake.
