Right now I'm ... Janine awesomeness
Today, while walking around in the expo area of the Berkshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett) annual shareholders meeting, we stumbled upon Leslie Baker, the guy who plays Stanley Hudson on The Office.
Hew was very gracious, and talked with us for several minutes. A very cool guy, and one of my favorites on the show.
Not sure. He could have been a guest, since the film they showed at the start of the meeting included Warren interacting with the cast of The Office.
I have officially abandoned my efforts to use Apple Safari web browser. It has a lot of neat features -- but it doesn't run worth crap in XP.Yes, yes, I know. No one cares about this.
janine wrote: "i use safari. neato features? i had no idea! i just like the way it looks."I did, too. But I find that Firefox has all the same things and looks just as good. I find all Apple software to be slow in starting in XP. Do you find that with Safari, J?
I used "find" in three sentences in a row.
I just got a MacPro laptop and would love to know what neat features are available on Safari. I'm having a bit of a learning curve between Mac and Windows. For one thing I don't have a home or end key. There's got to be a fast way to get to the top of a page or to the bottom.Sigh - gotta love the learning curve.

i have vista.
Oh, I'll figure it out. I have no fear of bunching keys to see what they'll do. Since I posted ^^ I've found out how to quickly turn off my laptop and how to show all the open safari windows in one window.Still haven't figured out how to find home and end though. LOL!
The most annoying thing about Firefox is that you can't copy a tab. I used to do that a lot in IE.
Chloroform is more my style. I wouldn't want to hurt you.
Awhhhh poor Jammies. I hate yuckie head colds.
::offers chicken soup, panadol, cough syrup, throat lozenge, codral cold & flu tablets...desperately digs into the medicine cabinet looking for anything that might help. Offers everything knowing full well nothing will help...offers to tuck Jammies in bed::

::holds fingers up in a cross::Sorry you're sick Jammies. As my mother would tell me... drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. Hugs,
Poor Jammies. Take some so you can sleep medicine and snooze through the worst of it. I am home alone *sniff* Mr. Carol is at a sleep study.
Thank you everyone, I'm not all the way well, but better today.Carol, was Mr. C's study only for one night?
Yes, one overnight. We're waiting for results.I got results today. The neuropathy is very likely permanent. boo.
Carol, I didn't know you had neuropathy too--what kind and what cause? Unless I'm being too snoopy, in which case, just ignore me.
Chemo induced peripheral neuropathy, how about you? Also the meds give me arthritis-like pain, so double whammy on my hands and feet. I am going to give Lyrica a try. Neurontin did not alleviate enough of the pain for me to stumble around all zombified. No offense.
In my imaginary little world all TC'ers are healthy and happy. That is the way I want you all to be. But we do live in the real world, I know I am rambling.
Carol you have my heartfelt sympathy. ::hugs::

Gah, Carol, that sucks! I'm lucky in that Neurontin just gives me heartburn. MS-caused neuropathic tingling in hands, arms, feet and legs and sometimes face, here. *hugs*

you're not rambling, that's how my imagination works too.
i had to look up neuropathy, my sympathy to anyone who has it.
and finally: proof we're not all figments of the australian's imagination.
Relaxing just a few minutes after a busy, busy morning on the IronMan route. We volunteered to help at Aid Station #1 (10 miles into the bike route). There were about 2000 racers this year, from the extremely fit elite athletes down to the somewhat pudgy weekend warriors who had this on their bucket list. It's an amazing trial that I will likely never try. But volunteering is fun, and now I've lost my voice from cheering them on.
right now i'm pissed. anyone have a xanax they can spare? :/ and don't even get me started on why, cause i can go on and on. time for deep breathing and meditation.
Yay, sounds like you had a fun rewarding day Phil. Good on you.

Right now it is Mothersday, too early in the morning for anyone else to be awake. I'm still in bed just listening to the quiet of the morning. I am looking forward to the delicious scrambled eggs my kids will make me when they eventually wake up.
I hope wearing the cap gets them through the game this weekend Phil. It's a game they should win, but almost the entire front line is out with injuries. Go the Tahs.
