I'd totally read that!!!Not aware of it happening though. The closest would probably be that 4 book series not too long ago Royal House of Shadows, with Gena Showalter, Jill Monroe, Jessica Andersen and Nalini Singh. I read where Nalini said that they discussed with each other whenever they wrote the other persons character, just to make sure they had the authentic voice of that character.
Very true, Sandra. That's cool how they all worked together like that. I've read #1, but haven't read the others. I have 'um though. ;)OH YEAH! Thanks, Midu. I thought I'd remembered something like it and even HAVE that TBR and forgot. Thanks! That's exactly what I was thinking about -- a crossover. I bought it b/c I LOVE Jane Yellowrock, but forgot all about it. I haven't read Walker Papers though so the whole fun of the crossover may be lost on me.
I would love this concept!!! I have both of those series into my to-read pile so I must find this book to add to the ever growing pile. I would love to see more authors collaborate. I need to think on who I'd like to see working together, both in terms of authors and characters.....ah, the possibilities!!!
Not so much a world colliding but I know that some HR authors have different characters popping up in other author's books, e.g. Julia Quinn, Lisa Kleypas, Stephanie Laurens and Eloisa James
Ohh, I sometimes think about that too! It would be super cool and I'd most definitely read that! It makes me want to check out Easy Pickings even though I haven't read the single series yet. Lol! I need to get to that. ;)
I think I read that Jace from The Mortal Instrument appears in Wite Cat by Holly Black... I still haven't gotten to reading it though, so I'm not sure how it's done or anything, but I'm curious!

I'd love a sort of mashup of series! I've seen it on TV a few times - sometimes good, sometimes bad but always exciting to see my favourite characters interact with others I love and would never thing would get to meet.

Then, I started thinking about how some TV shows on the same channel (in the US) would have occasional crossover appearances. Some actors from one show would pop on an episode or two from a similar-ish show and visa versa.
What if authors did that? Do authors do that and I'm just not aware of it? I know there are anthologies among similar genre authors, but I'm talkin' about a true mashup for a book or two. Not to battle against each other because I wouldn't want any of my favorite characters written by Author A to be killed off by Author B. But, battling together to kill off some baddies, sure!
What do you think? Fun or foolishness?
