Side Read- Good Wives

I think we've been posting some of our comments in the Little Women thread, as Good Wives is pretty much considered Part 2, but when reading it, I found it to feel like a different novel from Part 1. The girls are older, have more mature perspectives and learn more broad life lessons than can be gained in the shelter of home. Some learn through marriage, some through traveling, some through other trials and life experiences. I related much more to Good Wives and the maturing of the girls into women and think many people can relate, even if the time is older and some of the lessons more tame than are usually presented in modern literature. Sometimes it's nice to learn some lessons earlier before they become more dark and terrible. It's a very sweet story and well-told.
