Wow Jumsumtak! With us going through the books and reading one a month, it's taking 7 years. Good luck!

message 61: by Mel (new)

Mel Belstein (maykashara) | 4 comments +60 I used to have a list of all her titles so I could cross off the ones I read from the library. That was years ago. Last year I made the same list and started my own Christie's collection and so far I own 35 of her books.

message 62: by Katherine (new)

Katherine I have 61 Christie mysteries, I counted them yesterday, so, I think I've read 61!

Mel, we have a list actually called THE LIST https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... that names all of the books by order of publication. In fact, we've been reading a book a month in order of publication for a couple of years now. You can use that list if you'd like to keep track once again.

Katherine Brian wrote: "I've just started reading Christie this month having never read her before. I must say that I've been really missing out. Enjoying them very much, I'm just about to finish my forth book this month."

You have so much enjoyable reading ahead of you! Happy reading!

Well, a few days ago, I went to my Agatha Christie's bookshelf (yes, I have a bookshelf only for her books) and, as I already knew, with my collection completed, I only have one book that I didn't read yet. Now, I'm sad, the moment I finish that book, there is no more books of A. C. :(

message 67: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. | 4766 comments Mod
It is sad to finish an author or a series. Re-reads are fun but new fresh reading is much better. :(

We have THE LIST!! https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... that lists the books in publication date order. I know that it's takes about 7 years to finish her books reading one book a month :)

Una, Murder On the Orient Express is one of my favorites!

message 82: by Edward (new)

Edward Turbeville (edward_turbeville) | 17 comments All of them, multiple times. I have her entire works in chronological order on my bookshelves, including her words as Mary Westmacott.

I have also read her biographies and that of Max Mallowan.

Carolyn F. | 4766 comments Mod
Wow Edward! Did you like her Mary Westmacott? A lot of people think they're just okay.

Christina, but with tea (steepedinbooks) | 1 comments I'm afraid I've only read one so far. Murder is Easy. I'm currently reading Murder at the Vicarage, though. I have a rather obsessive nature so over the past months I've been building up my Christie ebook collection. I look forward to reading more. :)

I think that's great Christina - because it will be new for you.

message 86: by Ecem (new)

Ecem | 4 comments Only 20 :( but my goal is to finish them all.

message 87: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. | 4766 comments Mod
That's mine too Ecem - before I die :)

message 88: by Denis Joplin (new)

Denis Joplin (denidax) I've read 73 so far. Like Ecem and Carolyn F. I want to read them all and this year I wanted to finish the ones I haven't yet read; however, I don't think I will make it! but I'm not in a hurry.

I have to thank my auntie for my interest in Christie as she gave her whole collection when she bought new books with a better binding. I still have all those books, but now that I can speak (or, actually, read) English I rather read them in the original version.

I'm 62 but there are a lot I'm not sure if I read or not so it might be higher. This was before I had Goodreads to help me keep track.

message 94: by Konstantina (last edited Sep 05, 2014 02:18AM) (new)

Konstantina (konstantinakoraki) | 3 comments Jonathan wrote: "As well as I can remember 21. Plus, I have read her first Collection of Poirot short stories twice. Has anyone noticed that she almost exactly mimicked Doyle's Holmes character and setting in those..."

She was a great fan of Doyle. I also think that there are some similarities, i am not sure if she mimicked though.
I read 40 or more books by Christie, including her Autobiography and The Rose and the Yew tree under the nickname Mary Westmacott, which was different, a tragedy novel. I also have read a small book by her "The Last Seance", it was quite strange with a metaphysical aspect. She was a brilliant writer, she gave me such a thrill and i like her perception of human nature.
