Dimitri and Rose.

maybe the new character is someone who knew dimitri that can help rose like a member of his family or something.i have a feeling that if dimitri comes back someone else will die. i think that someone else will be adrian i think he would help rose bring him back because he loves her or whatever.

I think you are on to something with Rose's connection to the dead, didn't someone say that with every kill she made will bring her that much closer to the world of the dead. In this book she must have killed 14 Strigoi's, and if killing 2 in the last book makes here able to see ghost, maybe killing 14 will let her have conversations with them other than yes or no comments, or access the world of the dead with out risking her soul. Which might make it capable for her to save Dimitri's soul, plus no one seem to be talking about the dark shadows that she saw on the plane. I am wondering if those dark shadows where lost souls crying out to her for help only she didn't know what they were at the time because her connection to the world of the dead was not as strong as it is now.

If Lissa heals Dimitri after Rose stakes him, What if he turns Strigoi again seeing as that is the last thing that he is. How would he become a moroi or a dhampir? I don't get it. If Lissa heals him wouldn't he just turn back to a Strigoi? I don't think that she turns things in to life again( with the exception of Rose).If she did then she should have healed her family then. Plus Lissa would just get crazy if she did heal Dimitri and then pass it to Rose again and then Rose would probaly kill herself and then Lissa would have to save her again. And why would any ghost beside Mason help Rose? What does she have to give to them? How would she open a portal?! I hope that the new character Sydney, will be enemies with Rose to add to the drama.
we dont know much about rose's shadow kissed abilities but andre did motion to a dark shadow like portal on the airplane i think that is a clue that rose will have to open the portal to free his soul. but idk how she would get it into the body. hmmmm maybe another spirit power. and also like someone said before the more death she deals the closer she comes to the dead. so maybe her abilities have developed but we wouldnt know yet because she has been inside the wards that keep out the non-living.

I would think that bring someone back from being a Strigoi, would be easier because technically he is not dead. His soul is what needs healing not his life. I think this book will be about how she gets him back to the living, and the next book will be about how do what they did to him on all the Strigoi's thus eliminating the threat to the moroi, and their need to be protected all the time. Which in turn means that Dimitri and Rose can be together with out having to worry about duty.

Just thought of something, if Rose does bring Dimitri back and can figure out how to do it to all the others than she will have some leverage over the council and queen. Thus she can make some demands to the council about what she wants for her help, meaning make her relationship with Dimitri known and telling them that if they want her help they will not punish him at all for his actions in any way concerning said relation ship. Since she is the only one that will be able to help with the rising Strigoi problem they will have no choose but to accept there relation and let them be together. Which lets be honest with out her love for Dimitri she my have never tried what she is going to do in the next book, which means they should be really thankful that they fell in love in the first place.
I just thought of something else if you look back to Rose's tarot card reading, I think that they tell us something about the next book.A)Nine of Swords showed a woman sobbing in front of a wall of swords. Maybe this go deal with the way Rose was sobbing in front of the cave when Dimitri was taking.
B)Ace of Swords was a boring hand holding a plain iron sword. Maybe that has to do with the stakes they use to kill the Strigoi and her quest that she is know on.
C)The Sun at least looked cheerful. It had what looked like an angel riding a white horse, with a brilliant sun shining above. Maybe this has to do with her seeing souls and ghost (which some people could mistake as seeing angles) and is the only cheerful card because it is the only one that hasn't come true yet which would be to bring Dimitri's soul back.

Yea it said,"You will destroy that which is undead", not kill, I think there is a difference here like her bring back Dimitri in this coming book and figuring out how to do it to all of them in the next book thus destroying all off them, by giving back there souls and making them all normal again.

I was wondering at the end of the book when she said that she had an idea of where Dimitri is. Where did she think he was then?

I also wan't to know how that blond Strigoi knows Rose and Lissa but I think you are dead on about trying to lure Rose away to get to Lissa but the Strigoi won't get Lissa because Lissa, Christian, and Adrian will end up going after Rose.
Also... I don't know how, but I think somewhere in the 4th and 5th books after Rose kills or gets over Dimitri (There will be a big scene right before or just after she stakes him showing how hard it is for her to kill him because she still loves him, but she will kill him and then she'll cry for him but will have to go on because the Strigoi will be getting ready to attack again and it is her duty to protect the Moroi.) I think that eventhough part of her will always love Dimitri, Rose will end up falling in love with Adrian. I know none of us want to hear that, but think about it. Even before Rose really knew Adrian, she was drawn to him. She noticed his "Deep green eyes and his brown tousled brown hair"...she notices everything about him. Lissa will become hier to the throne with Christian by her side, unless something happens to him.
Plus, I still think Victor and Rose's father will have something important to add to the story.

Ok I just found you guys and read through all of the stuff that you have come up with. i think their are alot of good points and ideas going on here. I have a few of my own as a very deicated va reader and after going through all the this new stuff you have givin me I have added all out ideas (the good one) together and I think I got something pretty good going in the way of what will happen in blood promise and book 5 as well... im going to post it but yall will have to bear with me i dont wite short things so it will be very lenghty and invovled but i think yall will be intrested in what I have come up with!
Im going to take you guys through my thought process here on how I came up with what I got so just bear with me for a while and we can do this!first lets think about what we know!
1) Mason would not lie to Rose
2) Dimitri is a strigoi now
3) Rose is not the kind of person to give up on somthing she has said her mind to or the things that she thinks is right
4) Everytime Rose kills her 'power' grows their is no telling all the things that she could realy do with her shadow kissed abilities cause other than Anna- who was never said to have seen ghost, so whos to say she ever killed and got closer to the shadow world- their has never been anyone like rose!
5) the blound is important, and somhow knew rose and lissa
Ok those are the things we know for sure that we also know will be important to the next book!
next im going to run you through the questions I had about all this stuff then Ill run you down on what I think is going to happen in 4 and 5!
Alight here are the main things that I woundered about when I got done with all the books!1) who is the blound and how did he know rose and lissa
2)Why that school? out of all the places they could have attacked why pick their... even if it were revenge for Rose killing the 'leader' of their lil group how did they know they would get the chance to attack the school, were they just going to hang around until somone or somthing broke the wards?

Ok here we go this is what I think will happen I hope you guys will get involved and let me know what yall think of this... this will probly jump around alot and Im sorry for that...I belive that the guy that rose killed was not the leader of the new band of strigoi. I think he was just one of the main guys with in it. I belive that this all goes back to Mrs. Karp! there arnt many people who knew about Lissa and rose but she was the first to figure everything out. i belive that she turned strigoi to escape the insanity but never liked the idea of giving up all that power. Once she became strigoi she started to think of ways that she could get that power back and use it to rule not only the strigoi but also the moroi and himans alike. I belive that the blound guy was her lover that we learned about in book one. That when he went to find her the same as rose is doing with dimitri she turned him. i think that the reason all of the strigoi are acted so strange- bandeing together in numbers so big and not turning on each other- is cause of the natural that all the sprit users have. remeber its not realy compulsion so maybe she carried that into her undead life and is able to controle the strigoi with it! I belive that she was the one who put the idea of the Mana into the minds of jesse and the stuff about using compulsion and also gave them the idea to use all the elements to bring out compulsion. That way all she would have to do is send in her people and have them wait for the wards to be broken. Thats how the blound knew Rose and lissa- he was sent there to get them. now heres why, like i said I think Karp wants to use the magic of spirit but she cant anymore. so what is she found a way to get it using rose as like a funnel or somthing? If rose can see ghost and sense strigoi from just 2 kills then who knows what kind of connection she will have to that world not that she has killed a crap load more. What if somhow Karp can use rose to either controle or take lissa's sprit powers from her. as for rose and dimitri I agree that she will find him and be unable to kill him. I also agree that Lissa weill relize what a brat she was being and follow rose using either adrians conectios to her dreams or the money trail and of corse christian will go with her. but I think adrian and eddie will go too! I think belive that the first spot mason showed her on the map was like a base of opperations and that is where she will find dimitri. then using the help of both sprit users shell will pull dimitri's soul from the land of the dead and then they will heal him and put it back in him! I belive that while saving dimitri rose will learn of Karps plan to take over the world but she wont be able to stop it yet. i think this book will end in them saving dimitri but lossing somone eles, probly adrian, and that they will then have to make a plan to stop Karp in the 5th book. i think that Lissa will be the one to change everything that dimitris return and lissas charisma will convince moroi to fight with dhampires to eliminate the strigoi forever thus giving rose and dimitri the freedom to be together in the end!
i know I probly left out a few things in this so yall feel free to ask questions on where I got so me of his stuff!
for those of you who think that Mason lied to keep Rose safe and that dimitri is actually alive or w/e...he couldn't have lied because if he did he would have said that dimitri was dead not that he was a strigoi because that would make her go look for him anyway (like she is doing) and put her in more danger
Oh hey i forgot to let yall know that I work with tarrot cards so i know what all the readings and cards ing them mean... Ill put them all below so yall know whats up to!rose's reading:
9 of swords: this is known as the nightmare card!
It means that you are suffering from alot of emotional trauma and that things are going to get alot worse before thay get better- but that they will get better.
ace of swords: This card is about being victorious in battle. It doesn't mean you will win the actual battle just that you will get somthing you want out of it
upside down sun: Things dont turn out the way you want but not all is lost you can win if you stick to your convictions and dont give up
Dimitri's reading:
Knight of rods: this card signals that a major change is coming to your life
Wheel of fortune: the wheel always spins which means that you can change your life for good or bad depending on the choises you make
5 of cups: you have lost the things that are most important to you but you can still get them back.
this is what it means in a nutt shell...
Rose:
She is in a bad place right now and going through alot of bad emotions, and they are only going to get worse, but she will be able to change all that in the end and have all her problems woked out
Dimtir:
somthing major is going to cahne and cause you to losse the things that you care for most but there is always a way to change what you dont like in your life.
this makes alot of sense when you think about it and what we have all come up with. rose was going through all that stuff with lossing mason and not being able to be with dimitri and it got worse when all those people were killed and she lost dimitri now she will have to go out and fight for him and even though things turn out good she only wins the battle not the war, she saves dimitri but cant stop karp, but she will keep fighting and in the end she will come out on top! as for dimitri alot chanded! he rilized he would never be able to put anyone before her and then he lost so much he lost his soul and he lost rose but as I said and rhonda said... the wheel is always turning and that means thing can change...or they can go back to the way they were!
all of this went into my thoughts on what will happen even lissas reading which Ill be happy to tell yall about if yall want to know! the whole point though is that mead made such a big deal about the wheel always turning and to someone like me who can read thae cards by the order she put them in and the way all 3 reads fit together it was easy to come up with the basics of what was going to happen all the other stuff came from other places but like I said feel free to ask me where I got it from ii have somthing to 'backup' everything Ive put!
ok what we do know for sure is that rose is headed to syberia where dimitri thought was beautiful right which means her plane lands in idk turkey which is by the way on the border of russia, and for some odd reason i got a feeling that our new friend sydney is a guy who for some other reason meets rose well obviously he's going to meet rose first cuz she tends to attract every single flippin spirit user we know of cuz shes shadow kissed and all she and lissa made a very quick friendship, ms. karp stalked her, adrian loves her idk and he sees her mothers gift the nazar on her and takesher to meet abrahim [her dad:] which for now im assuming is her father im clueless here idk
like someone has lready pointed out there is no reason for dimitri to go to sybria. when you become strigoi you losse yourself completly even though he would remeber that that was where he was from he would no longer have any use for it the strigoi dimitri cares nothing for that place or the memories and connections he had to it. and as it was also pointed out how would he get there? he cant go out in the daytime, and he wouldnt have the controle to get on a plane with living people even if he could somhow get a flight over there at night!
ok never mind i take it back sydney is a girl and she's richelles' "little side charachter" which makes me wonder! WHAT DOES SHE MEAN BY LITLLE SIDE CHARACTER?
I think she just means a character that does not have a huge role but that she realy wanted to be in the book... idk though

okay it say u will lose what care for most right but near the end it got that he would do anything for rose right well if his soul wasn't what he cared for most and rose was becoming strogoli/or geting kinapped by the strogoli would still take him away from her though but then the wheel of fortuine card says that you will get it back if u make the right desitions u will get it back so what if manson died or he's not strogoli yet but will be soon he can still get her back

thats deff a consideration but mason was not the kind of guy to lie he wouldnt have told rose dimitri was strigoi unless he was it wouldnt have severed a purpose he moved on so its not like it realy affected him weather rose loved dimitri or not
Dimitri hasn't gone Strigoi.At first, I thought that's what happened, but then I thought about it.
There was the blonde Strigoi who wanted Lissa. When he realized how important Lissa was to Rose, he needed to get to her, in order to get to Lissa. I'm still working on how he figured out Dimitri was so important, but we never really found out what all the Strigoi have for powers.
They may not have "living magic", but they have super strong senses, who know's what else they can detect . . .
There's really no point in having a fifth book with out Dimitri anyway. The way the series has gone so far, there's nothing if there's no Dimitri. She's [hopefully:] going to find him, save him in the fourth book, and then probably loose him again by the end.
I really think that something's going to happen to Christian. I really don't want anything to, but I think Christian will end up dying, or t least going missing.
After that, who knows.

I think you have a point about the school, but the Strigoi have to know that the school does not have as many Guardian as they should. I mean out side the school the royals have 2 and other important people have 3. At the school there are what 20 Guardian at best for a thousand student, they are relying more on the wards to protect the students than the Guardians. The Strigoi could have been staking out security and for a while now and having someone periodically check the area around the school to see if the wards were weakening. They most likely figured if they could get in with a large group that they could take a lot of them down or just take them for later. Plus the teens doing magic right over the wards has most likely been going on for a while and maybe the Strigoi say what there were doing on there scout missions and can tell when the wards are weakening.

I think you have a good point with Miss Karp, but she is like Lisa not Rose, which would make since in why she needs Rose. What if some how Miss Karp didn't lose all of here magic due to how powerful of a sprite user she is, maybe she is some type of hybrid where she can still keep most of her soul which is what is helping her to control the other.
ok here is what i think even though it may sound not possible but anyway 1)i think that rose will go and find dimitri he WILL be a strigoi but he doesnt have the need to kill her, and they work it out even though they are different (and there is gonna be a fifth book rite?? so they can work it out then..like he can turn back into a dhampir or something)
2) she will go and find him, and coz she is shadow kissed she brings him back herself...so that means they are like connected in a way i guess...and i think she will be pregnant
anyways they are my ideas :)
I think that it is possible for a dhampire and a strigoi to get pregnate. so it is possible that when rose finds dimitri and relizes that she cant kill him, and he relizes he has no reason to kill her when he could just make her strigoi and they could be together that they could have sex and rose could get pregnate. the question that is realy important about that would be, "what would they make" would it be 1/3 human, moroi, and dhampire. or would it be some completly new thing that could help in the big battle that we all agree is coming!

see thats exactly what im getting at. who else would have know aobut lissa and rose amoung the strigoi. I think that she lost all her powers went she changed but like I said I think the carisma they all have isnt realy apart of their magic so she could have taken that with her and is usingit to get people to follow her! I think she wants lissa's powers and thinks she can like channle them into herself or somthing using rose's connections to the land of the dead!
those are some really good ideas about karp. the books never said her guardian lover killed her did it? it only said he went after her to stake her.I still think that rose will have to rescue dimitri's soul through her shadow kissed abilities that we don't know much about but we do know that the more death she deals the stronger they get.
i think she will have to cross into the land of the dead to save his soul but im not sure how she would get it into his body maybe by staking him and then lissa healing the wound after his soul gets back in his body or something.
I agree with cc I think that this next book is probly going to be centered around rose and her powers> I think we are going to learn alot more about being shadow kissed and about everything that goes into it and the things that she can do if she stops fighting it. i do think she will have to travel into the spirit world to save dimitri Im just not sure what I think she will have to do to do that!here are my thoughts on this new charater!
1) she is shadow kissed and teaches rose how to use and controle her abilities
2) she is a sprit and she use to be shadow kissed and she is helping rose to save dimitri and defeat the strigoi cause she never had anyone to help her with her powers when she was alive!

I think Rose only has to find Dimitri's soul and then act as a gate way or bride between the living world and the dead for his soul to get out. I think once his soul is out it should be able to do the rest on it's own, I mean Mason's ghost didn't always appear in the same location every time. So why couldn't Dimitri's soul move on it's own after she opens the door out of the land of the dead, and if it can move on its own it should be able to put it's self back in Dimitri thus making him normal again.
Thats a realy good theory cleahey! I mean technicaly it could happen, just as long as mead writes it that way right!lol there are so many good possibilities going on here I cant belive we have to wait like 5 months to see which ones are right and which ones arn't!
the only thing that I know for sure is that it would make no sense for mead to kill kill dimitri she would have nothing to work with anymore and that would destroy rose and if there is no rose there is no books!
I agree with Kayle, I think Dimitri is just being held and this is all a way to get Rose away from Lisa to make her vulnerable to attack.
I totally wish that somehow Mason was still alive. I liked him soo much.
I know I loved mason to but I think it added alot to the story when he died I think it helped rose grow up more than anything and realy set up the third book!

But for the time being, we are all aware that in doing so Rose's main priority is finding Dimitri. That's why she left her in the first place.
But I'm sure the Blonde Strigoi only took Dimitri to get to Rose cause he saw the importance of Dimtri to her.
