Yeah, that is pretty gross but I think that they knew they weren't siblings someway somehow deep down because it like took them so long to believe it and then when they hear they really aren't they are just like "Okay."

What's really nasty is Clary kissing her real brother, Sebastian/Jonathan. Even though she didn't know it. At least nobody knows about it but her, right? Well, and all of us. :/

They technically are siblings but not in the natural sense of the way. They both have the same angel blood in their veins but that's unnatural so it really doesn't count because they are brother and sister through experiments but not through birth like Clary and Sebastian/Jonathan. Stupid meddling Valentine!

I think the Seelie Queen did it deliberately, the siblings case, due to the fairies evil nature. Had Clary asked the right question, the Queen would have told the truth. Fairies do not lie but they will not tell the truth either. But at that moment, both Clary and Jace were devastated with the answer to ask furthermore.
Them being siblings are similar to us being sibling, considering we are all Adam's descendants....

yeah so either way she would have made out with her brother which is creepy but we all knew, at least i did, that Cassandra Clare wasn't going to have them, Clary and Jace, be actual siblings it was with all that forshadowing if you looked in the right places by the way lovers

I do not think there are authors who support incest. It will be gross and loathsome. Although it was predictable that Jace and Clary are not siblings, the storyline is so beautiful to make me read more about them.
