What are you reading?
I finished
last night and really liked it. Very interesting read. I still have so many questions, though.Reading
this is the longest time in a long time my currently reading folder was empty. LOL but today I will start my reading of the ARC of

@Gin It does take a little while to get into Nightlife, but the action really picks up. I fell in love with Niko rather than Cal, actually. But I liked it enough to keep going. The second book starts off more quickly.
kind of read
, I mainly just skimmed it until the end, it was just a bit to YA for me.now reading
which im liking ALOT more, its really interesting. so far i'v had trouble putting it down!!
I just finished my 10th book this month,
Lady of the Shades by Darren Shan. My next book is
Fifth Grave Past the Light (Charley Davidson #5) by Darynda JonesDarren Shan is one hell of a writer, I feel the need to buy a copy for everyone I know in person and online. This is a must read book. I have read/listen to 126 books this year and this is by far the best one. You all know how every few days I post what I read and what's next. Anyways he one fine writer and you all should try the book for he's the author of The Saga of Darren Shan aka Cirque Du Freak and The Demonata series which I have read as well.
I just finished my 11th book this month,
Fifth Grave Past the Light (Charley Davidson #5) by Darynda Jones. My next book is
Unbreakable (Unraveling #2) by Elizabeth Norris
That looks interesting, Lannister. Looking forward to what you think of it. Have you read the Demon Cycle series?
Finished:Haven (Tranquilli Bloodline #1) by Celia Breslin
This book’s dhampire is not as kick-ass as the Dori series’s dhampire, but I still rather liked the book. Definatly two different types of worlds ... I really don’t see Dori being big into dancing, fashion, or owning a nightclub.~
This book kinda made me feel old … damn you NA genre! *shakes fist*

I know, I know, I'm atrocious!!)
I'm quite into this whole grimdark fantasy thing right now. Will let you know what I think of The Grim Company. :)

You should read it when you get a chance. I think you'd like it. I was definitely on a dark fantasy kick not too long ago and plan to go back to it soon.
I started
last night. I'm already over halfway through. It's very different and interesting. It's told from the POV of one man, but at three different points of his life. The idea is that he's recording tapes that detail his life to pass on to younger students, so when he starts telling a new story the perspective switches to that of his younger self. It sounds confusing, but it's not. It's a very interesting way to learn about the world without info dump.
I just finished my 12th book this month,
Unbreakable (Unraveling #2) by Elizabeth Norris. My next book is
Deadly Forecast (Psychic Eye Mystery #11) by Victoria Laurie
finished
I loved it!! im something of a fan of Russia, so this was a great book for me!!now reading
which im actually really enjoying, I was a tad concerned it would be really immature but I think its quiet adult for a YA book.

Finished:Heart of Venom (Elemental Assassin, #9) by Jennifer Estep
Harley and Hazel made my list of villains-in-book-series-that-I-don’t-like-very-much. This book was too graphic and violent for me, I didn’t like it much at all ... yeah right. That is one of the things I really like about this series. :P WTF is M.M. Monroe?? Now we will have to wait till after the next book to get a clue? Oh, and the blue roses WTF is that about?
<3 Owen
Can you tell that I JUST finished the book?
Finished:Carniepunk By Rachel Caine, Delilah S. Dawson, Jennifer Estep, Kelly Gay, Kevin Hearne, Mark Henry, Hillary Jacques, Jackie Kessler, Seanan McGuire,, Kelly Meding, Allison Pang, Nicole Peeler, Rob Thurman, and Jay Wells
Takes forever to read an anthology if you only read a story every once in a while!
Finished my re-read of the connie suttle books. Now re-reading Cast in Peril before I start Cast in Sorrow felt these two books are so close in the story I needed a refresh. We'll see how long it takes packing to move sucks.
I just finished my 13th book this month,
Deadly Forecast (Psychic Eye Mystery #11) by Victoria Laurie. My next book is
Terminated (Revivalist #3) by Rachel Caine
Finished:Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance
It has been a while, so it was almost like reading it for the first time. :)
Finished:Underground (Greywalker #3) by Kat Richardson
Awesome … I love stories with new monsters instead of the same old ones. IMO good riddance to Will since I never liked his character and he seemed of more of an after effect for some odd reason. Quin is just … comfortable if that makes sense?
I lived in the Seattle area for like 3 years and never knew/took a tour in the underground. I also lived a few minutes from New Orleans for 5 and never went to Mardi Gras…. I woulda freaked @ the amount of people anyways.
... sinus issues and pollen crap can go to hell btw

Reading
Finished:The Vampire With the Dragon Tattoo (Love at Stake, #14) by Kerrelyn Sparks
Man ... that went by quick I was doing something while listening to it. No wonder it went by fast and my ass is numb from sitting on the floor for so long....

Okay, hadn't got time last month to read so I only been able to finish reading
,
,
,
and
. After reading the last book of the Rock Chick series, I became addicted to the tv Series Castle and watched all of the season last week :). I hope this month will be better for my reading but for now I have only 3 books planed to read this month so looking for some recommendations. Anyone has got any ideas?
Don't forget the free Marnie short!I am mainly re-reading and not reading much new stuff ... I did start the Greywalker series and it is awesome so far. (I've only read the first 3 books and plan on reading the next like 5.) I really liked Underground!
Haven't read Marnie's short story yet. I had some problems with downloading it and actually forgot about it. Going to give it another try soon.
Finished:The Geek Girl and the Scandalous Earl (Geek Girls, #1) by Gina Lamm
And
Geek Girls Don't Date Dukes (Geek Girls #2) by Gina Lamm
Time travel genre has usually been a weakness for me. Geeks + timetravel = yippee lemme try this crap out. I also liked the first book a lot more than the 2nd.
Amazon’s “one click buy” is rather evil.
I just finished my 2nd book this month,
Night Seeker (Indigo Court, #3) by Yasmine Galenorn. My next book is
The Vampire King (The Kings #1) by Heather Killough-Walden
Finished:Affliction (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #22) by Laurell K. Hamilton
So many things I wanna wtf about, but I think I will behave. I got Affliction along with Magic Rises and saved MR for after I read this book … I just knew I wasn’t going to like some parts of it. ><
I did like it a whole lot more than the previous book. Ignoring the stuff that wasn’t all that important for the zombie stuff was pretty cool, even if I hate zombies. Oh yes, I loooove books with Edward in them.
(view spoiler)
Finished:Magic Rises (Kate Daniels, #6) by Ilona Andrews
I really like Hugh … and I thought the whole Lorelei thing was dumb and was not too well-developed … and well I just hate that stuff… and it is so not Kate and Curran.
I feel cheated now … I waited for forever for this book and no matter how slow I set my reader to read I still put the speed up back to where I usually have it and it was over too soon. Good books are like crack … I need another fix now. :(

If I have trouble with a rating I read something else ... then go back and read it again. I read super fast though. :x Sometimes you just see things different the second time around. I always do that with the few books I do review, to me it is only fair since first impressions are not always the nicest and I could have missed something.
The human part is good imo ... he was beginning to look too good to be true. He better have had at least have something to do with Heart of Venom since the 10th book is a pre-quel.... The whole Phillip/Eva/Owen thing that came as a result of Widow's Web better not go on the wayside either. It gave me the warm fuzzies.
