What are you reading?
lol Claire ... me and my cousin were called "the gross out twins" ... our goal on most mornings was to gross my mom out as much as we could to hve her threaten to "ppull the truck over" and make us walk. You would be surprised at the dinner conversations my family has sometimes. The Lady and the Tramp refrrence made me wtflol ... that whole series is one of my favorites now.
I actually like Lex, even if he got douchy at the end. But I don't think either guy is good for her. She should leave them both and have her own thing. lolI wish I could go back and read magic rises for the first time again LOL
I'm rereading the dark-hunter books. Currently on
. I forgot how awesome the world building was at the beginning. The sex was better too. Anddddd Nickkkkkk. :D
Night Hunter? I think the sex got boring in the last few books. It's all slow romantic soap opera sex. When Talon grabs Sunshine, dude that was HOT. ;) Now all the men are pansy asses. lol
pansy asses, seriously? Well, Zeenat, maybe u should read
, there is a LOT of sex in that book and u can't say that Lahn is a pansy ass. That guy knows well what to do :D
Zeenat wrote: "Night Hunter? I think the sex got boring in the last few books. It's all slow romantic soap opera sex. When Talon grabs Sunshine, dude that was HOT. ;) Now all the men are pansy asses. lol"@Zeenat I read "Dark Hunter" but I was thinking about "Night Huntress"...it's a bad idea.
I HATE Sunshine. I wanted to punch her in the face. Repeatedly.

Which is great I guess, very gender neutral. But I personally like my sexual reading to be a lot more raw. lol
But I may take you up on that ;)
I agree with Claire on Sunny--she is a dumbass....@Zeenat:
Lex is a douche and gets even worse through the series, while Terrible gets better. :x
On Downside--there are two short stories coming out: Wrong ways down I think august 6th, but I don't see it on Amazon yet.Close to you, October.

Well that's better than nothing.
I've decided after the perfect lovefest of Magic Rises, I want something brutal and nasty. So I'm starting
Arushi, I decided to push it up my list, cos I want to get away from luurve dramas. Hope it's good! :)
I just finished my 2nd book this month,
Fall of Night (The Morganville Vampires #14) by Rachel Caine. My next book is
Night Myst (Indigo Court #1) by Yasmine Galenorn
Oh god started affliction. And everything is "your so amazing I love you. You make me a better person since we met......... " It's annoying me hope it stops.
Amber wrote: "Oh god started affliction. And everything is "your so amazing I love you. You make me a better person since we met......... " It's annoying me hope it stops."Ugh, ew. Anita is just so not herself since the tenth book
Amber wrote: "Oh god started affliction. And everything is "your so amazing I love you. You make me a better person since we met......... " It's annoying me hope it stops."There is also lots of gore, later on. And (view spoiler)
OMG starting my reread of
. I survived my first 3 or so times reading it... but I feel super anxious about this book. I dread it as much as I love it. I think it's the most difficult book ever. Probably because everyone else gets happy endings in past and future books, but not everyone one deserving gets it in this book :( AHHH!!

Yes I agree I feel like there are two different series. Books 1-10 then all the rest and yet I read every one that still comes out in the hopes it will be better again. :(.
@ Claire:RE: your spoiler ... thank god. There is still some hope for me then.
@Zeenat:
lolol
That book is so ... sad in some parts and so totally freaking frustrating. I still like it though ... Tabby has good taste in books too.
@ Claire:Just have to have Donna die a horrible death ... or something quiet ... oh hell I just want her dead. The kids can stay though ... lol @ idea of Edward a single dad.
Finished:
Sacrificial Magic (Downside Ghosts, #4) by Stacia Kane
@Llaph I don't love Donna, but I don't want her dead. That might put Edward in a very bad place and I don't think that would end well for anyone...
Finished:Chasing Magic (Downside Ghosts, #5) by Stacia Kane
I do like Lex, but I feel sorry for him too. He is still a douch-bag though….
@Zeenat:
She is boring, maybe too much so for our Edward. It is that or she is just to cheesy/stupid for him. I think that he can do better really….
Er ... no it is the third I think. I know I seen the story and what all happened different when I read the whole series back to back this time (the other 2 times I read up till City of Ghosts 1, then through to Sacrificial Magic, then I just read ChasingMagic when it came out). I didn't think about the amount of time that actually passes in those 5 books ... it is a short time period.
I waffle between disliking Lex a ton and feeling sorry for him.
Finished Affliction. Not bad compared to other recent additions to the series. I just can't stomach all love talk and relationship advice. It is just distracting and made me skip over, if it had been less than the book would have been 10 times better. I love the dynamic between Edward and Anita so glad they don't sleep together. I agree with you guys about Donna it doesn't fit with Edward.
Finished:Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton
I forgot about Philip, so sad! :(
So I'm gave
a break yesterday. I don't know why, I just wasn't in the mood. I started
instead and I'm almost done. I got it off the Kindle lending library and it's really good! I can't explain why I like it so much, exactly. Maybe because it's a romance without the usual cheesy bullshit I hate.
Am reading
Absolutely loving this book. It's completely engrossing and the best fantasy I've read in ages. Highly recommend it (so far, anyway!)
I just bought
. I read the first few pages in the bookstore and it was interesting. I think I first added it to my to-read shelf when it came up as a recommendation based on the Dresden Files.
Zeenat wrote: "Claire, I have it cause I bought it for 99 cents or something. let me know how it is."Will do! I enjoy Gage's narrative voice.
Lannister wrote: "Am reading

@Llaph Oh God (view spoiler)[ the pregnant zombie was shudder inducing. Especially when she ate it. ACK (hide spoiler)] Given that I grew up with one nurse and my best friend is a nurse-in-training, I have a very different idea from most people about appropriate meal time conversation. But this pushed it.
So I finally finished
