and man do I love Brent Weeks. I always get so caught up in his books. I'd go straight to book 2, but I want to wait and have something really awesome to read later on in the week.Starting
I just finished my 10th book this month,
Doom with a View (Psychic Eye Mystery, #7) by Victoria Laurie. My next book is
House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires #7) by Chloe Neill
Had a little free time. I read
and
. Now I need to find new books the plane ride back to the states. I really liked these books can't wait to read the next one. Thanks for the recommendation.

Death Blows (The Bloodhound Files, #2) by D.D. Barant
Yesterday I was exploring my new town, well more specific my new shop center and bought Dead Until Dark for 1 pound. Never had a courage before to read it, since I like the TB series and didn't wanted to be disappointed like I was with Vampire Diaries, but so far so good. The only thing that HBO added so far is sex, but other then that they are freaky accurate.
Margo I think the story lines split a lot after the the third book the TB series added a lot of stuff that was never in the books.
Yeah, Lannister is of course right, and 1 British pound = 5, or more Polish zloty, so for me it's rell;y cheap, especially that the cheapest book in Poland cost like 25 zloty so it's 5 pounds. The only book that you can buy for 1 pound in Poland is a Classical Polish literature which everyone has at home and no one wants to buy it LOL :D
I've started reading
. I thought it was UF with elements of High Fantasy, but so far I'd put it firmly in the Fantasy category. It's good, though, so far.
I read that Lannister. I liked it until the second to last book, and it made me mad over something stupid. lol That rarely happens but it was unbelievable to me.
I didn't realise there were so many books in the series! (It's a buddy read in another group). I haven't read much yet, but it's OK so far.
Finished
this morning. I loved it, but Vin was frustrating the hell out of me. She so got played, though.Started
Just read
. It was a surprisingly good book for an Kindle freebie. I'm considering bumping my review up from three to four stars. It was a pretty typical PNR but it wasn't too cheesy and the characters were fun.
I just finished my 12th book this month,
Death Blows (The Bloodhound Files, #2) by D.D. Barant. My next book is
The Perfect Poison (Arcane Society, #6) by Amanda Quick
Started
. It's one of those books that thrust you into the story with little explanation. lol I'm so confused on all the creatures. Thankfully, I can pick up on some clues, but we'll see. I haven't gotten very far. I think I will like it if things become clearer
Zeenat wrote: "Started

I just read
and
. I enjoyed the first book enough to read the novella, but I'm not in love. The characters lack the sort of life that really invests me in their world. But I've had a lot of downtime at work lately, so I'm constantly reading.
I really liked the first book of Chronicler of Elantra. I am almost done with Cast In Courtlight. The second one is a bit slower ... more psychological political playing... I'm less confused now. lol After that I will move on to the third one: Cast In Secret
I just finished my 13th book this month,
The Perfect Poison (Arcane Society, #6) by Amanda Quick. My next book is
A Glimpse of Evil (Psychic Eye Mystery, #8) by Victoria Laurie
The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance by A whole mess of peopleI had forgotten that I had this book … being blind sucks for skimming! This anthology was where I read my first Jeaniene Frost story, which led me to the NH books. I also read my first Ilona Andrews story in it. I forgot how it led me to a lot of new series to read. Pffft There is even a stupid weather warden short that reminded me that I don’t like Jo or David. :P
I said on here one time that I won't read PNR books written by men. Some one asked what men wrote them. Well I did run across another one by Tim O'rourke. Sorry I just don't think men get the romance and sex like a women does.

Killing Rocks (The Bloodhound Files, #3) by D.D. Barant
Diane wrote: "I said on here one time that I won't read PNR books written by men. Some one asked what men wrote them. Well I did run across another one by Tim O'rourke. Sorry I just don't think men get the roman..."That's interesting! I didn't even know there was such a thing as a PNR book written by a man. I guess I shouldn't make assumptions, but I do tend to think of it as a female thing. And, from what you say, I don't feel inclined to try one!
PNR requires a certain formula and .... "Cadence"? I think guys can write a good romance, or romance in a story. For instance, Jim Butcher and Dresden's relationship with Susan. But not when it's strictly romance. But my husband has read a PNR, and he said it's very unrealistic when it comes to guys and their POV. Which I have heard from other guys, also. (Even the male half of the Ilona Andrews team!) But I don't think we girls care about that ;) We like our romantic sexy books to be a certain way.
LOL, that's probably true, though I don't feel best to judge these things since I hate too much romance! I actually thought one of the reasons I like Curran so much is because he felt authentic and I think that's probably because he's written by a guy. The Andrews team really do have the best of both worlds, which is why their books are so good. But, most romances are really meant as fantasy and escapism - something I'm normally very fond of in a book. But I just can't get into romance. It never feels realistic to me. You know, the way that hobbits and House Lannister do LMAO!

for this is one of my favorite series and I have been through over 97 books this year alone and 464 books in the last 3 1/2 years.
Finished:Embraced by Blood (Sweetblood, #2) by Laurie London
And
Enchanted by Blood (Sweet Blood 2.5) in A Vampire for Christmas by Laurie London
I reallllly didn’t like Dark Storm or Leopard’s Prey … thought they were both really stupid. I guess my opinions have changed over the years because I used to like some of her other books. Though I have thought her last few books in her varied series have been rather lack luster too. So maybe she just stinks now!
I forgot about Cast in series … I have a bundle I can’t remember why I did not read any after the first book since I liked it.
I Don't know what I want to read.Which is sad - considering the number of books I have sitting there just waiting to be read...
8 of which are new releases.
*sighs*
Finshed:Tempted by Blood (Sweetblood, #3) by Laurie London
I forgot how fast these books went.
@Jax:
Read that one book about that one thing and the guy that is sort of like that. :P
Llaph wrote: "Read that one book about that one thing and the guy that is sort of like that. :P"LOL - Excellent Suggestion! I might just do that. ;)
I currently have:
That's excluding the 30 odd Kindle Freebies and older books on my shelf such as
The Mayan Prophecy Trilogy by Steve Alten
The Hidden Oasis - Paul Sussman
The first 3 Sabina Kane books by Jaye Wells...
I keep staring at my shelf... but nothing really jumps out screaming "READ ME! READ ME!"
I feel a new List coming on. *Nods* :P
