I just finished my 14th book this month,
The Likeness (Dublin Murder Squad, #2) by Tana French. My next book is
Not Taco Bell Material by Adam Carolla
Margo wrote: "the books which are comming out on the 26th are:

Margo wrote: "I'm sure I've missed more than one, those are the ones I know about :)"Wonder why they come out all at the same time. Don't they know that we're broke lol.
Thanks Margo!I just finished
which I loved, minus the unflattering portrayal of my people (and by that I mean the Italians =p )I technically have
, but I don't necessarily feel like reading it
Finished
and it was quite good. Different since Lily and Rule weren't around, but still enjoyable. Starting
*What I think of the last book I finished*The Likeness (Dublin Murder Squad, #2) by Tana French
It a great for I gave it 5 stars and now I'm so glad I got the *22.5 hours* audio book. The only thing that could make t little more real for me is if they made it into 6 part hour and half HBO or Showtime TV movie.
I just finished my 15th book this month,
Not Taco Bell Material by Adam Carolla. My next book is
A Vision of Murder (Psychic Eye Mystery, #3) by Victoria Laurie
I just started
. The beginning pissed me off because of the whole "oh look we're big strong men, let us just drag you off because muscles." It inevitably ruins a scene for me where the male lead just decides he's going to kidnap random women because he thinks it's best for them. Not like they'd been in any danger before the men showed up anyway!Okay. Moving on. It got better after that first chapter or so, but I don't think this series is ever going to be in my top.
Yeah, I have all three first books but I don't know if i'll read any of them. I've got a little digital hoarding problem....nothing major.
Well I usually download all the freebies and then I don't have a time or don't know what to read :(. I think this year I downloaded more then a hundred already :/
I got a few hundreads myself, so much so that I cooked up a reading challenge for it. I only managed to read 25 books and 45 shorts this year but it's better than nothing.
@Margo - I love xxxHolic. Now I want to see it again :D @Claire - You should give Blue Blooded Vamp a try. It is actually a really good conclusion to the series.
ON freebies, I also have quite a few and I somehow never get around to reading them. Though it might have something to do with the fact that they're on my kindle app on my laptop - while my e-reader is a Kobo and so... I'd have to read on my comp. Sigh. I am too picky somedays.
Well currently I'm on episode 18 of xxxHolic - the first series from 2006 and I have to say I'm really enjoying it.
Actually I thought about watching many times but somehow I always got sidetracked by something else, but yesterday I was watching Blood C - The Last Dark and there it was again, the shop and Watanuki from xxxHolic, so I thought to finally give it a go :)
I just saw that cover for
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson #1) by Patricia Briggs and the Spanish version of
Tempting Danger (World of the Lupi #1) by Eileen Wilks (aka Peligro Tentador) have the same one. That's a first for me.
Book Blitz Tuesday is coming! I'm going to read the following books in order when they come out on Tuesday:
well if kindle delivers the kitty book before the elemental assassin book, i'll read that first. but the other two can wait for the first two lol
I'm reading
I sort of like it. But it's got what I always hate in a PNR: where the guy just gets to make arbitrary life choices for the female and she justifies it away.
Tempted by Blood (Sweetblood, #3) by Laurie LondonI hate how I read 4 before this book … I totally forgot about it since I had only read 3 of her books. This is why lists are good mkay?
For me I am at the whim of my library, sometimes it is quick to add a book (like the same day it was published), and sometimes a long wait. Mmm wish I was not so cheap and that I don’t like listening to books on my phone too much yet. I can’t turn the speed up on voice over fast enough.

The same stock photo is reused lots (especially if its free) but, the whole cover is a first for me too - especially for different books. If World of Lupi and Mercy have the same publisher, this is plausible. Otherwise, someone will sue somebody, or at least get really mad.
For me it's nothing new to see the same cover for different books for example:
and
or
and
and there are few more that I don't remember but just yesterday I've seen the cover of
used for a different book but don't remember what it was.
I just finished my 16th book this month,
A Vision of Murder (Psychic Eye Mystery, #3) by Victoria Laurie. My next book is
The Bite Before Christmas (Argeneau, #15.5; Night Huntress, #6.5) by Lynsay Sands, Jeaniene Frost

That devoured cover is pretty tho :)

I was going to say the artist Pickyme because she does a lot of Cover art but it seems that Patrica Briggs is not one of her authors...too bad.

Reading
. I have mixed feelings about this one. The beginning was a total letdown but once on familiar ground I was sold. I'm dreading the ending with so many not flattering reviews.
Some covers are stock, and some are designed... the big six have a tendency to have artists that create their own works of art ... The ones that are stock are usually self publishers or from small publishing like Samhain or vulpine or an independent publishing company ... but since it's international, their rights might work differently, and the artist might be able to sell it to them... who knows!
My goal last year was 195 and I did 196 books and this I told myself I need to slow down. So I only set a goal for a 100 books, this goal setting isn't working for me for I'm already at 48 books to date. But maybe something will come up in my life so I'll have less time. That's the only way I can see myself not reading or listening to over 180 books this year. The thing is it all started watch over 2600 anime with subs in a time span of about 6 months. It all start because I'm Dyslexic and a friend of mine got me to start watching anime to help with my reading be for the most part I've always had to read everything out loud be I just don't see letters backwards but whole phrase or the sentences (Ex. I would see the moon jumped over the cow not the other way around). About 3 years ago I tried books books again but I still had trouble so I started reading books on PDFs while at the same time listening to it though really bad text to speak programs. I then found audio books, so in 2010 I went 80 books, in 2011 I did 91 books and 2012 I did 196. So thanks to my good friend of over 20+ years Alvin Brinson who is also a member of Goodreads I'm a book devour.

Well I am reading books since I remember, first my mother was reading them to me when I was little and sick in bed (which unfortunately was often) and than I devoured books from my school's library and borrowed from friends.
When I was doing my BA in English literature, I had to read so many books during one week and still study for other subjects that sometimes I wanted to hit something. But thanks to that I've learn how to read books fast and remember what I've read, which wasn't always the case.
About anime - I grew up on Sailor Moon and Slayers and sometimes with the boys from my neighborhood I watched Dragon Ball, but that was because it was available on TV. After few years the TV station took off anime from the screen and no more anime for long, long time. It started back during my BA, when one of the professors asked as about what were we watching as a kids (i Think it was during psychology but I'm not sure) and most of the girls said Sailor Moon and most of the boys said Dragon Ball and I have to admit that I don't remember the rest of the lecture 'cause my friends and I were too busy discussing what we remember from anime. And the next day someone brought DVDs with anime and we established our own rental store :). Ah good times :)
And yes Zeenat, they're here :) Reading
Oh, and I want to say that the cover of
and that other book, which I managed to find again
as you can see are not really identical - the sward is in the other hand :/

"I tried reading the first book...and I just hated Kitty so much I didn't even finish it. How did you put up with her for 11 books?!
lol claireMy library only had up to kitty's house of horrors soI gave up and forgot about that series.
I was reading through the new books list for my library and saw Once Tempted and went eeeeek mentally at first then it dawned on me that it was ONCE....
Rebel (The Fallen, #4) by Kristina Douglas
I Like harry’s uriel a hell of a lot more than the scary bugger in this series….
I have DS, but have failed at reading widow's web yet....
Kitty changes DRASTICALLY... let's just say by book 11, some are considering on calling her the queen of the wolves. A far cry from "submissive wolf". Plus, book 1 i liked that the main character was submissive. you never seen that in UF books. It makes her development that much more awesome. The last two books have been kinda slow though, so I'm hoping things pick up this book...
I just finished my 17th book this month a few days ago,
The Bite Before Christmas (Argeneau, #15.5; Night Huntress, #6.5) by Lynsay Sands, Jeaniene Frost. My next book is
Seraphs (Rogue Mage #2) by Faith Hunter
