I just finished my 7th book this month, titled

Everlasting Desire (Everlasting #2)by Amanda Ashley. My next book is
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Palby Christopher Moore
He hated the correct pronounciation of his name for some reason (It is like Charon, Claire) so when it was anglicized to Asheron coz ppl just could NOT pronounce it right.. he was glad for the break. Then it was shortened to Ash, and he was pretty happy with that.

I'm going to call him Ack-er-on in my head and leave it at that! I just read Wulf's book and really liked it, too. I liked that Cassandra actually had some fighting skills and wasn't totally defenseless. Although, I thought of our Cassie the entire time!

soooooo I changed my mind. Decided that I can't read too long serious books at the same time, and since I already started anna karenina, GOT is going back on the TBR pile until AK is done. Instead, I decided to add a light fluffy read, so reading the

 series. it's only what, 3 or 4 books? so it'll go quickly . . .

I finished Heat Stroke and I am reading Chill Factor right now ... I will keep at it till a shiny comes along.

I finished Heat Stroke earlier and I am reading Chill Factor right now ... till a shiny comes along. (my post poofed, watch it come back and make me look dumb)
Yeah, your post came back. No worries Llaph, you don't look dumb!! I really liked the weather warden series. Not a big back of Chill Factor though, or the second to last book.

Plus, it's when my Urian is introduced. <3

For some reason I can't get access to my DH books.. some weird confusion. SO I am watching Once upon a time while I sort that out.. :(

I don't know, honestly. I hope he does. I love Urian and I want him to be able to really live again. He loved Phoebe so much, although their relationship wasn't as long as it could have been. I think he would be able to find a new love, but he'll need time to do it and she'd need to be a hell of a chick.

You're welcome Llaph! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It still is one of my favorites from last year. The sequel is turning out to be quite good as well.

It is also awesome to find a book that is not sheeping with all of the other books. :P
originality nomnom
... did it again with the ambien, you would think I was hooked on it or somethin' sheesh.
I just finished my 8th book this month, titled

Bound By Blood (Bound #2)by Amanda Ashley
Llaph wrote: "@ claire:Is it a given thing that someone has to die in each book and come back ... ?"
No, it isn't. Though I will say that I love the Weather Warden books because I love the characters and the world, not always Rachel Caine's plot lines.

@ Claire:I have not read past Chill Factor yet ... Well not too far into the 4th book ... I got distracted by a shiny.
@ Mello:
I really liked the first book and just finished Days of Blood and Starlight, the world she made is really original. Really who would have thought what was done with the teeth and the age old controversy who are the real monsters and are angels really good?
On a just-finished-the-book-so-I-love-it high ... it will settle and I will calm down. :P
I just finished the second book, too. =D I loved the sequel. All that heartbreak and I really didn't see some of those twists coming.Starting

@Llaph I'm not going to lie, I'm not real clear on what plot elements show up in which books. But I do know that Cherise gets introduced in book 4 and she's one of my favorite characters. I just finished
and I think I like Valerius more than Zarek. Valerius might the Dark Hunter I'd pick for myself! And I loved the new perspective on Tabitha, too. She's much less frustrating in this book.

I'm trying to find the DH thread... I know there's one lying around here somewhere *rummages through group*

@Claire Choosing between Valerius and Zarek is hard for me, but they're real close when it comes to my favorites.
Claire wrote: "I'm trying to find the DH thread... I know there's one lying around here somewhere *rummages through group*"It's in the Book Corner folder.
If you can't find a thread, look for the most likely folder, then click on the folder name. The home page only shows the latest 8 discussions and there are often more hidden inside. If you look along to the right of the folder name it says 'Showing x of y topics'. That lets you know if there are more discussions than are currently visible.
Hope this is useful!
Funny Mello I had never heard of this book until a few weeks ago and now everyone seems to be recommending it

I'd heard of it when it first came out. I read it a little while after that and fell in love with it.

So it seems reading graphic novels on the kindle isn't so bad, but I think I'll continue to buy my manga hard copy.
although I'm not entirely certain that I'm in the mood to read it.

@Zeenat Kindle Fire@Llaph I think it'll be good, I've just not been in the mood for reading it even though I've had it since it came out.

I know that feeling, it sat on my reader for a while before I got to it. <>
Looking back I found some shinys with Maya Banks' KGI series and Adrienne Giordano's private protector series. I was not in the mood for UF/PNR at the time.

Hey, I know there have been books I have been afraid to read, but I get to them. The reason a lot of the time is the feeling of ""omg I waited for so long I don't want it to be over" feeling. That or the feeling of "oh noes I know there will be bad stuff followed by good stuff."
Example, all Downside Ghosts books ... I let Chasing Magic sit on my reader for a while before i stopped being chicken and read it and I of course loved it despite the roller coaster that is Chess.
@Llaph - I am doing the same thing right now with A Dance With Dragons. Its somewhat slower than the ones that came before it, GRRM always ends the book with a bunch of cliffhangers and the next book with come in a few years. So I am 21% in.. and not moving forward.

Oh yeah ... I finished Glass House and am starting Dead Girl's Dance by Rachel Caine, it's cute. Weather warden series, taking a break from it. It seriously looks as if she dies or comes so close she might as well die each book. It gets kind of anti-climatic after the 2nd time and the 3rd time and the, well yanno.
Wah?? Why am I a stalker? I'd at least stalk Marlowe if I was stalking anyone. Might even stalk Mircea... but where did this come from??? *pouts*

Lol, I posted once then went to post again because I forgot something and your post appeared magically!Ignore me sleep deprivation ...

I just finished my 9th book this month, titled

Bound By Blood (Bound #2)by Amanda Ashley. My next book is English Short Stories 1800-1900(Penguin Audiobooks)
by Wilkie Collins, Joseph Conrad, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Gaskell, Thomas Hardy and Rudyard Kipling

I'm not sure, yet. I didn't read much of it last night. I was just afraid to read it because sometimes, Ward isn't always on point.
