October 2023 Group Read - The Satsuma Complex, by Bob Mortimer

Okay, full disclaimer - I am not a Bob Mortimer / Reeves and Mortimer fan. I find that humour.... non-existent.

So, 60 or so pages in, I'm thinking - this bloke is WEIRD.
Halfway through, still weird, but the plot is okay and no nasty stuff so far.

Nearing the end, bit of gore from an apparently funny bit of business, but nothing life-threatening.

The hero is still officially WEIRD in my estimation, as is the prose style to match him as he is essentially the narrator of the book.
That said, it is an okay story. Not sure I'd want to read another one in the same prose style though. 3 stars-ish for what it achieves in my life.
