Hi Steph! Welcome to the group and thanks for introducing yourself. :)Can I surmise from your answers that you're a Pritkin fan? There's a few of those around here, so you may have some competition LOL!
Have you read the Dory books yet?
Do have a browse through the discussion threads and join in anywhere that takes your fancy. We're all patiently waiting for Masks (the Mircea POV story that KC's just written) at the moment, and the wait is a killer!

Thanks for the warm welcome :)Lucky for me I've only just finished reading all the Cassie books, including 3 of the short stories, which leaves me a few more short stories and the Dory books to read so the wait isn't quite as terrible for me ;)
Yes, I absolutely am a Pritkin fan (as much as a bloody pain in the ass he can be haha) but I do love Mircea as well, and Marlowe. And Marco is just a big fat teddy bear ^-^
I will have a browse through in a bit and jump into the discussions with both feet =)

Steph, I hope you enjoy the Dory books. I prefer those to the Cassie series, but it's really interesting to get a different perspective on the vamps and senate politics and so on. Also, Mircea!Marco is my favourite teddy bear. :D

Hi Kish, welcome to the group! Yay for another Dory fan!! (The Dory series is my secret favourite too!) Sadly, I think it'll be a while yet before we see a new Dory book, but we're all excited right now about the teaser chapters for Reap the Wind that have just been published. And Masks, the Mircea novel, should be out in a couple of months, so there's plenty to talk about!Do join in the chat and share your thoughts on your favourite characters/scenes etc. I always like to hear what bits of the books new members like best!

LOL! Did you read the Dory books first, Kish? People can get quite radically different impressions of the characters depending on which series they read first. I always laugh at Mircea as 'Dad'. I kinda picture him with pipe and slippers LOL!There will definitely be more Dory books. KC has said she hopes to have five in the series, but I could live with more. It should really have been a Dory book out this year, but because Tempt the Stars/Reap the Wind were written as one giant book which the publishers decided to split into two, they made the decision to put out Reap the Wind before Dory #4. I have a bit feeling this could mean October 2015 before we get the next Dory, and that's depressing as hell. :(
On the plus side, Masks will have some Dory as a child scenes I believe.
LC has the best hair in the series. :D

6. I love reading and am having trouble getting over Tempt the Stars. I'm just not ready to move on yet lol. I also think that Pritkin is my favorite character because of his history (I'm a history major), and just because he's great :)
Team Cassie or Dory is a hard question. I like them both. I think I like Cassie so much because of Pritkin, and miss his character when I read the Dory books, but i also really like Dory, because of the Fae being more involved in her storyline.

I see you're a Pritkin fan, but hopefully you've got a little bit of love for Mircea too! :)I'm glad you liked Tempt the Stars and it's a tragedy that we have to wait till November for Reap the Wind.
Thanks Lannister! I do like Mircea also. I really do love all of the characters, and when I first started reading the series, Mircea was my favorite. Pritkin kind of just sneaks up on you, and one day you realize, "oh he's actually a decent character" :)
Haha, yeah, that's so true about Pritkin. And if the Missies don't shoot me down for saying this, you could maybe even argue that it sneaks up on you one day that Mircea isn't such a decent character LOL! *runs away before someone kills me*It's such a shame that we have to wait so long for Reap the Wind. KC sounded so hopeful when she announced the title last year that it would be out fairly quickly, but it's not to be. Maybe we'll get another Pritkin short story before November. :)
I have to agree with you about Mircea, but maybe that is why his character is so interesting? Because you know that at first he seems good but then you realize differently. Now I'll probably have to run off with you lol!I really can't wait for Reap the Wind but it could be worse. At least its only a year between books…hopefully. Another Pritkin short would be great, but I could really go for any short story :) at least we have Masks in the next few days.

Yeah, I could never choose that. Though considering I try not to join groups just for a author or series, Cassie Palmer definitely rates high up there.

I like cameo's and I wanted a kind of paranormal theme. So I took a shot of my favorite knecklace and added some bite marks.
4. Name a famous person that makes you swoon?
Jason Statham. No matter how bad the movie, I will follow.
5. What's your favourite dessert?
Cheesecake. And cream puffs.
6. Anything else you want to share about yourself?
Currently I'm re-reading books 1-4 of Cassie's books so I can finally catch up on books 5 and 6. It's the only series I faithfully believe I need to re-read to make sure I've got everything straight. Way too many important things happening!

Well he's attractive, I'll give them that. But I don't get why Statham needed a replacement. Does he have a new project coming up? I know there was that movie where he was a cop and his daughter got kidnapped, but I wasn't really interested.
*sigh* It's being treated as a reboot. So they want a fresh face. He is nice on the eyes.

Hello everyone.I've been following the group for the last couple of months and I guess it's high time I introduced myself..

2. As for favourite books/series,too many to list... As far as UF goes, the Kate Daniel series as well as Harry Dresden, for Fatasy in general, definetely Codex Alera, Mistborn, almost anything by Robin Hobb, and I'm stopping myself now..

4. Swoon might be a bit much.. Tall, dark and handsome too much of a cliche?? Not pretty boy though..

Hi Elpida, welcome to the group! Look forward to chatting with you. Tell us your favorite characters, scenes etc.Andrena, there's no info on the next Dory book, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say late 2015. There's usually been about a year between books so with Reap the Wind coming out in November this year, it'll likely be towards the end of next year for Dory #4. I hope I'm wrong and it's earlier but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I need to think about actors. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. There are some pics in the character threads but they aren't always actors.
Andrena, I love the movie casting game. A friend and I used to play it constantly with our favorite books. To me, the trick is to get an ensemble that works well together, which may not mean *the* best actor for every single part, because they need to fit together wellAlso, we limited it to real actors (not models or others who couldn't really act).
Is that how you play it?
I actually had been thinking about this some. How about

I'm from a tiny country in Scandinavia called Denmark (because I'm Haappppyyyyyyyy *cough* sorry about that!)
2. What's your favourite book/series?
Obviously I'm a sucker for the Cassie and Dory series, but other than that I really like the Dresden files, GoT song of fire and ice (And I'm not just saying that because a Fellow dane is playing Jamie Lannister!), Shadow Angel trilogy and a lot of other UF - but besides fantasy I'm so in love with the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian.

Owls are gorgeous creatures so of course I felt a Deep connection!
4. Name a famous person that makes you swoon?
Chris Evans has that effect on me at the moment - he's great in Cap America - But my favorite is the highly underestimated movie The Losers. Also muscles and tattoos.. and when he has a BEARD! *drool*

chocolate chocolate and just a Little bit more chocolate! (try putting chocolate ice cream on top of regular salted chips YUM!)

Ooooh, this is a really unfair question haha. Besides the Cassie Palmer series (the reason why I joined after all), I love the Study books by Maria V. Snyder. I also have a special love for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky as well as for "Can You Keep a Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella.
You know what, I'll just stop here before I'm going to list half the books I've read :-p
3. Tell us why you chose the avatar you have?
I quite like the idea of the phoenix in general as an old myth and with references all over the world. Being able to rise from its own ashes - it has that special ring to it. Plus, this particular picture reminds me of fire-spewing dragons at the same time, which comes in quite handy since I love dragons.
4. Name a famous person that makes you swoon?
Ewan McGregor!
