From my to-read list is Scriber by Ben S. Dobson

I'll second Whitefire Crossing, sounds like a good read!

Also, you're welcome for the heads up, and thanks for the seconds. :)

1. Shadow of Night
2. The Lies of Locke Lamora"
Again, first of all one nomination per user, second Lies of Locke Lamora as stated last month has already been a group read.

Hm, the head mod said earlier in this thread that: "You can nominate and/or second more than one book."
However, Shadow of Night is the second book of a series and the first doesn't look like it's been featured in this group.

I'd like to nominate The Gunslinger I looked through the shelf and did not find it, which was odd, but Im fairly sure it hasnt been read.

seconded

Bev, I did not mean to offend you.
I just don't think those odd limitations are a good idea. I keep thinking that if I can get it in a non-English-market, surely it has to be so much easier for you all.

I got told last time to shout up if the book was not available. I do so and get moaned at. Just because you can get it in a European country does not mean I can here in the UK. It states that it has to be in several formats which to me is ebook, pbk, hardback or library. It is not surely easier for me to keep spending a fortune on tatty second hand copies of mass market paperbacks nor a book that I cannot get hold of. I am not being difficult.

I did a couple book look ups on the UK kindle site and had no luck finding them.
I'll try to keep this in mind....
let's hope that most of the books that finally get picked are available to you.
Definitely continue to speak up when it is not available, though. It's very hard to tell on this end.
:)

I will second The Bards of Bone Plain

Thanks Brenda I really want to join in.

Funny, we all have our favorites. I will second anything Kevin Xu nominates, but someone beat me to it this time :)

I will second The Bards of Bone Plain"
lol Carol! We do seem to like the same things...most of the time anyway

Edit* oops, I see it's already been seconded, I will second The Whitefire Crossing then.
/facepalm sorry, I see that has already been seconded too... something is wrong with my eyes and brain apparently.
oh well... I'll just second them again :)
Good nomination list we have going!

I'll second Friedman!
Also, I see Three Hearts and Three Lions has been nominated and seconded. There are a lot of older books being nominated which I'm excited about. But please make sure they are available. I know because I recently looked for a copy of the Anderson book- it was out of print as paper and ebook. And my library didnt carry.

I think the group read The Black Prism last August, so it would follow the rules.
Another UK reader, Scriber less than £2 on kindle, Whitefire crossing looks good but not available. Where's the free ebook from?
I'll second Among Thieves, US cover much nicer than UK. Lots of interesting noms, love reading through them although I end up adding loads to my TBR

or finally

I think I remember the author saying the free kindle book on Amazon was only currently available in the US. However, both of her books are available DRM free for six bucks each (less than everywhere else) and they should be available world wide here: http://www.baenebooks.com/p-1477-the-...

Try the baenebooks website to see if can get directly from publisher (lots of Baen published books are only available kindle and other ebook formats directly from them). In U.S. that's the only way to get for kindle (not at amazon but at http://www.baenebooks.com/c-126-tinke... for $6 price range ). I'm not sure how to check for U.K. availability but their FAQs say available worldwide so surely that means U.K. ;) — and likely you can use the same link.
I'll second Tinker.

Before anyone says not available ebook, see the free library section at http://www.baenebooks.com/c-1-free-li... (just click the "download" link in righthand column entitled "more info" and don't even bother with shopping cart stufff - just select to download desired ereader format or to email to your kindle or kindle app). Whole series not free; but, this one is in ebook formats. Free due to being older classic with some newly published sequels they are drumming up business for—not because self published or unpopular.

Hi checked your link and yes in theory it does work to email this to a kindle. However it does not tell you the cost of the email transaction. So yes theoretically UK kinde customers can access this. The book itself is available to buy anyway. For me personally I have already read it and yes it is a good read.

I'll second The Curse of Chalion too if that's okay. :)

This! This is awesome :)
And I agree with you about nominations filling up my TBR list! So many books, so little time...usually I don't even know what to vote for.
