Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments I've updated it. If you do take a picture of the cover, we can add that on as well.

Could you also give a publisher and page count for this book, if you still have it available?

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Huh. If the book itself doesn't list its publisher, then I guess we might as well leave the field blank. I'm not sure whether we can take that from Amazon or not.

Not sure how to add a picture to this discussion - post elsewhere and link to it?

Yup. You can use the photos section on your GR user account as a temporary uploading spot if you need to.

Tntexas | 404 comments Could you take the information from Google Books? It provides links to various bookstores where the book can be bought, but it doesn't sell the book itself.

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments CreateSpace is listed as the publisher if/when an indie author uses the program and doesn't specify a name for their "publisher, and even though they are an Amazon subsidiary, are usable for data. Google Books is not an acceptable place for data, however.
ETA: Added cover. I'll see if I can find one without the stickers though. :)

Not arguing, just wondering why since they don't sell books.

Not sure why exactly. It's been a while since I saw rivka's post on it. The last post she made on the topic is here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9...

And no problem Ann. Yeah we don't mind using damaged/partially obscured covers. After all it's better than having none at all.

Ooops; I wasn't aware of that. I would have assumed that since they only list places where the books can be bought but don't sell books themselves (Google Play sells ebooks, but plain old Google Books doesn't) that they would have been an ok source for information. Guess I'll be adding that one to the forbidden list as well.
