Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments There is an on-line publisher whose books are in PDF format. Should I enter the book format as "e-book" or should I click "other" and enter "PDF" as a format?

Also, these books are free to download for personal use, with the specification to not modify/distribute/sell them. In this case, can I upload the PDF version to "upload an e-book"?

and I think it is okay to upload the e-book, but it will be better if you ask the publisher or the author first. sometimes the author does not want to upload his/her book out of courtesy to the publisher.

I would think that uploading a book here is a way of distributing.

Ema (emastimpy) | 99 comments Thank you both for your answers, I won't upload the e-book. I will contact the publisher to see what approach it has towards this subject.

Beck | 9 comments I have made a mobi version of a free ebook & have the author's permission to upload it to Goodreads but I'm not sure how to do that? Anyone able to tell me the process?

On the book's edit page, under where the cover photo is, there is a button "upload an e-book".

Thanks for that ... I'm just trying to fix a couple of formatting issues then I'll have a bash at uploading it :-)
