Marco (marcoverga86) | 1 comments I started re-reading every book in the Dirk Pitt series, and there's only one thing I cannot understand: when they take place?

While in the later books there's always a note about time, in the first three books (Pacific Vortex!, The Mediterranean Caper and Iceberg) there's no time specified.
In Iceberg it is said that Dirk Pitt is 32 years old (the other question is "When he's born?", and in The Mediterranean Caper it seems that the events occurs in the 60s or in the 70s...

I think this because of two things: (1) it is said that the bad guy was chosen by Hitler, and (2) the bad guy says that he (or his brother?) was 20 at the time of WW1, and now he cannot fly a plane, now that he's 70 years old.

What do you think?
